Chapter 59 Entering the Mysterious House

"It's that big one in the middle in front..." Youyou explained subconsciously, then realized, "You can't see it?!" It's such a big building!

Lin Feng looked in the direction she pointed and shook his head. "There's only a grove of trees in front of me, no buildings at all."

"How could this be?" Why is she the only one who can see it?

"Perhaps there's some kind of concealment formation set up around it, which can block the view of those with lower cultivation levels, so only Your Majesty can see it," Lin Feng guessed.

"Hmm, maybe!" You You frowned, suddenly finding it strange as well. She looked at the increasingly dense purple aura repeatedly, but couldn't figure out what was wrong. "The spiritual energy over there seems very rich, almost the same as the spiritual vein from before. Maybe... we should go take a look." There might really be something good there!

Lin Feng glanced at her with some concern, but still nodded. "Alright, then if there is any danger, Your Excellency, please remember to leave immediately." With that, he took a step forward.

"Wait!" Youyou quickly grabbed the person and pointed to the right, saying, "It's this way!"

Lin Feng paused for a moment before turning to head in the correct direction. But strangely, the closer he got, the more his steps veered off course, as if some mysterious force was pulling him away from his original path. Before he knew it, he was in a completely different direction. You You had to pull him back to the correct route time and time again. What should have been a straight stretch of a few hundred meters had been turned into a series of twists and turns.

Strangely, he himself was completely unaware that he had deviated from the route. If Youyou hadn't spoken up to correct him, he would have thought he had been walking in a straight line the whole time.

Lin Feng's expression grew even more wary. "Your Excellency, it seems there is indeed a formation here, perhaps even an illusion that can affect the mind of anyone who gets close." That's why he unconsciously moved away from the area.

"Yes!" You nodded. "But we've arrived!"

Upon closer inspection, she realized it was a massive palace, filled with a pure and ethereal aura, with purple mist swirling around it like clouds. She examined it closely and discovered that this purple mist wasn't spiritual energy, but something much more concentrated. Yet, she felt no threat whatsoever; instead, it carried a familiar aura that instinctively drew her closer.

Before her stood the palace gate, which was not closed but rather wide open, as if specially welcoming her in. Although she was standing at the entrance, she could not see anything inside; only layers of purple mist.

"We're going in now," You You said, taking a deep breath. Seeing Lin Feng nod, she stepped into the hall.

The next moment, she felt as if she had passed through a layer of something, and the scenery before her eyes changed. In an instant, all the purple mist cleared away, as if she had entered another world. Everything between heaven and earth disappeared, leaving only a blue sky and a vast expanse of water. The water was calm and still, and she was standing on the water, as if she were standing on a giant mirror of the sky.

Youyou was completely stunned. Is this what the house looks like? What happened to the rare spiritual plants and priceless treasures? This is it?

"Your Excellency?" Lin Feng, who was standing beside her, noticed that she had suddenly stopped moving and asked with some concern, "Is there a problem? Why did you stop?"

He can't even see that?!

Youyou was taken aback, then thought for a moment and reached out to grab Lin Feng.

The next moment, Lin Feng, who had just been looking puzzled, suddenly opened his eyes wide and looked around in shock. "Where...where am I?"

"You saw it?"

Lin Feng nodded. "Yes, we are standing on a body of water."

"It seems that as long as I hold you back, you can see it too." Youyou was momentarily confused about how things worked here.

"Your Excellency, is this...an illusion?" Lin Feng looked around and asked hesitantly. If it was an illusion, then was the forest outside an illusion, or was this strange body of water an illusion?

"I don't understand either!" Youyou shook her head; that's how she was as soon as she walked in.

"Shall we..." go inside?

"Why don't we go back?" Youyou suddenly decided before he could finish speaking.

"Huh! Huh?" Lin Feng was stunned for a moment. "Shouldn't... we keep going forward?"

"Just to be on the safe side, let's not go!" Youyou said seriously. "Countless horror movie experiences have taught me that curiosity killed the cat, and those who actively seek death never have a good ending." Yes, we're determined not to give the monster a chance to appear.

Lin Feng: "..."

I don't know what it has to do with cats, but it makes a lot of sense.

-_-|||

"Yes, Your Excellency." As a die-hard fan, Lin Feng had no doubt about You You's words and turned to walk back, just as the two were about to leave.

Suddenly, a ding sound rang out, and the once calm water surface was rippled, as if it had been disturbed by something.

Lin Feng, who was about to step out the door after letting go of her hand, suddenly stopped. "The forest... has disappeared."

"What?" You exclaimed in surprise, "You can't go back either?"

She quickly let go of his hand and then held it again to try, and sure enough, no matter what she did, he could only see the surface of the water and could no longer see the woods from before.

They're being held here!

"..."

Suddenly, a series of gurgling sounds came from behind, and then pure white lotus flowers emerged from the water, forming two rows as if leading the way, heading into the distance.

She instinctively took a step back. Was this... the BOSS making his appearance?

"Your Excellency, please be careful..." Lin Feng instinctively stood in front of her, but apart from the lotus flowers, nothing else appeared on the water, as if waiting for them to pass.

"It seems we have no choice but to go and take a look." You You sighed, exchanged a glance with Lin Feng, and then followed the path guided by the lotus.

Sure enough, after walking for only a few minutes, a pavilion appeared in the distance, with a person sitting inside. It was a man, dressed in a long blue robe as pure as the sky, sitting quietly on the pavilion, looking at the sky outside. His black hair, like a curtain, fell from his shoulders to the ground, and then curved into the water outside the pavilion.

As if sensing their approach, he slowly turned around, revealing a face of unparalleled beauty, so perfect it seemed unreal. It was a face whose beauty was in no way inferior to Feng Rong's, except that Feng Rong's appearance was more flamboyant, striking like a flame, leaving a strong and unforgettable impression. He, however, possessed a completely different style; his eyes and brows exuded a gentle and soothing quality, as soft and warm as water, with a slight upturn at the corners of his mouth, as if he had an innately good temper, devoid of any aggression.

"You've arrived?" The man gave them an exceptionally gentle smile. His voice wasn't loud, but it was clear and pleasant, like the echo of a gurgling spring, giving people a warm and refreshing feeling. "Would you like to come over and have a cup of tea to rest?"

"..."
