Chapter 115 Chu Liyue's Dream, Xiao Wujie's Heart in Turmoil

The howling wind outside seeped into the room through the cracks, but it couldn't dispel the ambiguous and alluring atmosphere.

After an unknown amount of time, Chu Liyue carried Xiao Wujie, who had washed up again, out of the bathroom and back to bed, where he, exhausted and satisfied, nestled comfortably in her arms.

Then he turned on the bright room light, grabbed his hand, and examined it carefully.

The tight tie bound his pale, delicate wrists until they were red, and the previous struggles had chafed the skin beneath, from which streaks of blood oozed.

Chu Liyue carefully wiped away the blood seeping from the broken skin with her finger, and Xiao Wujie, who was leaning against her, let out a soft groan.

"Sister, I'm bleeding, it hurts, I can't bear to look."

He whimpered and buried his head in her chest, looking genuinely frightened.

"..."

There was nothing I could do; she had fallen for it again, so I could only coax, pamper, and spoil her.

Chu Liyue chuckled, took his wrist, gently blew on it, and kissed it twice, whispering softly:

"A little medicine will do the trick."

As she spoke, she rummaged through the bedside table for her usual medications and cotton swabs, gently held his wrist, and carefully applied the medicine to his wrist.

Under the bright and soft light, Xiao Wujie gazed at her with adoration as her waist-length hair was loose and her beautiful face was completely focused. She gently and meticulously applied medicine to his wounds, and he couldn't help but press his lips against her chest and kiss her a few times.

As he kissed her tenderly with such passion, Chu Liyue chuckled helplessly.

"Baby, weren't you full yet?"

As she spoke, she couldn't help but look down at her neck and chest, which were covered with ambiguous red marks.

Xiao Wujie was slightly taken aback upon hearing this, and silently loosened his collar a bit, finding that there wasn't much intact clothing down his neck.

He didn't say anything, but gently winked at Chu Liyue.

Sister, you're way more formidable than me.

Seeing this, Chu Liyue coughed lightly, silently adjusted his collar, and then continued to apply the medicine to him.

She admitted that she couldn't resist the temptation for a moment. The thorny rose had all its thorns gone, willingly bowing down at her feet, letting her pluck it. That feeling was extraordinary...

Tempting.

Stimulate.

After applying the medicine, Chu Liyue turned off the room light, leaving only the dim bedside lamp. She gracefully lay down on her side, letting him rest his head in her arms, carefully tucking him in, and then gently stroking his back to coax him to sleep.

After a comfortable afternoon nap, Xiao Wujie wasn't very sleepy. His arms were tightly wrapped around her waist, his face pressed against her soft chest, and he murmured softly with his eyes closed:

"Sister, I don't know why, but I always feel uneasy."

Chu Liyue gently stroked his alluring back, paused for a moment, then rested her chin lightly on his head and asked softly:

Do you have any guesses?

Unlike Lu Zhufeng, who thought he was just resting and overthinking, she knew that Xiao Wujie possessed extraordinary abilities and had a perception beyond that of ordinary people. Since he said he felt uneasy, she feared that something bad might happen.

"No……"

He murmured something softly, then gently opened his eyes, a thoughtful look in them.

A surge of thoughts rushed through my mind. I went through every single thing that had happened during this period, every single detail, but I couldn't find anything unusual.

After a long while, feeling his long eyelashes gently brush against her delicate skin like small fans, bringing a ticklish sensation, Chu Liyue knew that he must be deep in thought again and unable to fall asleep peacefully.

She gently lifted his chin with her fingers, tenderly kissed his eyelids, and whispered soothing words into his ear:

"Sweetie, if you can't think of it, don't think about it."

"No matter what happens, your sister will be by your side and face it with you."

"Listen to me, go to sleep."

Xiao Wujie gently raised his head, adoringly taking her delicate red lips into his mouth and kissing them lightly a few times.

Then he lowered his head and pressed his face against her chest, saying in a muffled voice:

"I just don't want those worries to bother us."

He could sense the condition of his body, and he didn't even know how many more days he would live, so he cherished the time he could spend with Chu Liyue.

Chu Liyue researched and perfected the reagent to save his life and fight against fate for their future. He understood the busyness and separation that this matter brought and had no complaints.

But unfortunately, this chaotic world always brings too many troubles uninvited. If he could, he would nip them all in the bud.

"Fool, even if you have extraordinary abilities, you can't control everything. Since some things can't be stopped, you might as well face them calmly. You were born extraordinary, so how many things can possibly be difficult for you?"

Chu Liyue gently stroked his hair with her fingers, her voice low and mellow.

Upon hearing this, Xiao Wujie was slightly dazed. How long ago was it that even if the sky collapsed and the earth caved in, and the mountains and rivers were shattered, it would not stir up the slightest ripple in him?

In this bustling world, amidst the myriad dust of life, there is nowhere he can find his home, and no one he can truly care about.

Wandering souls, lost and adrift in the world, they know not where they came from in life, nor where they will return in death.

He often felt that he was the most insightful person in the world, and over time, he began to deceive himself, thinking that so-called family, love, and friendship were nothing more than burdens that caused people to worry about things for no reason.

But now, when he truly experiences and even possesses those things that were once out of reach, he is surprised to realize the changes in himself.

I used to take everything lightly, but now I can get caught up in my thoughts and worries over the slightest feeling of unease.

What made him even more bewildered was that he sometimes felt afraid, afraid that it was all fake, just a dream.

He even had a twisted idea: he wasn't so disgusted with his illness. When he had an attack, the soul-tearing pain in his body intertwined with Chu Liyue's warm embrace, making him feel that he was still alive, truly alive.
