"Found it?"
Xiao Wujie sat up straighter, his eyes flashing.
Lu Zhufeng frowned and gritted his teeth, saying:
"I don't know where he found a group of desperados who kidnapped Old Master Chu and several political figures."
"They are currently at a chemical plant and specifically request to see you and Miss Chu. The latest they can see you is midnight tonight."
Upon hearing this, Xiao Wujie sighed softly, then calmly stood up.
"Call your sister, get the car ready and let's go."
While driving, Lu Zhufeng calmly analyzed the situation for Xiao Wujie and Chu Liyue in the back seat.
"The chemical plant is located in the suburbs. It was originally his property, but it went bankrupt due to his accident and is now in a state of neglect and abandonment."
"This bastard has spread gasoline all over the factory. The density is extremely high. According to preliminary estimates, there is not even a trace of open flame."
"This factory is extremely large, with countless flammable and explosive raw materials. The consequences of an explosion would be unimaginable."
"The government and the Chu family have already notified them and sent people to inform them. They should arrive soon."
As he analyzed the situation, the car quickly approached its destination. After turning the steering wheel a few times, he found a secluded spot to park.
"Let's wait until Zheng Fang and Uncle Chu arrive, then discuss it together before going in to rescue them, shall we?"
After a brief silence, Xiao Wujie spoke softly to Chu Liyue.
After Chu Liyue nodded in agreement, the two of them immediately looked out the car window.
The sky was like a heavy lead plate, so oppressive that it was hard to breathe. Dark clouds gathered in the sky, obscuring the last ray of the setting sun that was about to sink below the horizon.
At the edge of the field of vision was the abandoned chemical plant, its presence like a rusty nail, deeply embedded in this once prosperous land.
The factory was surrounded by weeds, and the barbed wire fence swayed in the wind, making a grating creaking sound, which looked sinister and terrifying in the dim light.
Several guards could be vaguely seen standing at the factory gate, pacing back and forth.
Approximately how many people are guarding the factory?
Chu Liyue stared coldly ahead and asked in a low voice.
"The exact number is still unclear. Yunmo has already infiltrated them, and according to the information he provided, there aren't many people."
"Because the factory area is too large, he has not yet found a place to detain Old Master Chu and several political figures."
As Xiao Wujie listened quietly to him speak, a tickling sensation rose in his throat, and he couldn't help but cover his mouth and cough lightly twice.
Seeing this, Chu Liyue gently patted his back twice, a hint of warmth appearing in her cold eyes.
"Sweetie, are you feeling unwell?"
Xiao Wujie has been suffering from a cold ever since, and he hasn't fully recovered yet. Now that he's just starting to feel better, he's being dragged over to be put through this again. Chu Liyue felt a little uncomfortable about it.
"I'm fine, sister, don't worry."
Xiao Wujie leaned closer to her fragrant and alluring embrace, chuckled, and shook his head.
"It probably won't end so quickly tonight. Don't push yourself. If you feel unwell, be sure to tell your sister."
Chu Liyue gently took his cold hand and wrapped it in her warm palm, warming his hand while giving him gentle and meticulous instructions.
"Okay, then sister, protect me, otherwise I'll be scared."
Xiao Wujie lightly touched her palm twice with his fingers, rested his head on her shoulder, and said softly.
Lu Zhufeng: "..."
Deep inside the chemical plant, in a dilapidated old building
A narrow corridor stretched into endless darkness, with only a few emergency lights flickering faintly, as if they might go out at any moment.
The paint on the walls was peeling, revealing the cement structure underneath, and the air was filled with a pungent musty smell and the musty odor of chemicals left out for a long time.
At the end of the corridor, a heavy iron door was tightly shut. Two figures dressed in tattered clothes stood silently in front of the door, their faces indistinct in the dim light.
Just then, the sound of light footsteps broke the deathly silence.
A figure slowly emerged from the other end of the corridor. His figure was mostly swallowed by darkness, and only the sound of his footsteps echoed in the empty corridor, bringing an inexplicable sense of eeriness and oppression.
As the figure drew closer, a gaunt and sinister face was revealed under the light; it was Chu Feihong.
He glanced at the two men guarding the door, his deep, hoarse voice echoing in the corridor.
"You may leave now."
After the two guards left, he glanced at the tightly closed iron gate with his dark eyes, then reached out and opened a small window lattice on the gate.
In the dark room, Chu Yuntian sat quietly in a chair. His hands and feet were not restrained in the slightest, nor had he been abused in the slightest. All around him were four thick iron walls and pitch-black darkness.
Suddenly, a ray of light pierced into the room from in front of him. Chu Yuntian's sharp eyes instantly locked onto the source of the light, and a blurry black shadow appeared behind the small window.
"Father, how are you?"
Chu Feihong's low, hoarse voice came from outside the door.
"Thanks to you, this old man was drugged and brought here, and he's not dead yet."
Chu Yuntian's face darkened, and he replied in a cold voice.
He and some old friends were investigating the rats inside, but just as they were making progress, they were drugged and brought here by their inside help.
There was only one chair and himself in the entire room, and he had no idea about the situation of his old friends.
"I'm sorry, Father..."
"Don't call me father, you don't deserve it!"
Before he could finish speaking, Chu Yuntian ruthlessly interrupted him, his voice so cold it could shatter ice, yet also containing a subtle hint of disappointment that was hard to detect.
