Chapter 157 Master Xiao's Depression: Is He That Weak?

Unlike the shock and excitement of others, Xiao Wujie took out a few tissues with a touch of heartache and gently wiped the sweat from Chu Liyue's forehead.

He knew that the actual operation was far more difficult than she had made it out to be.

There is no room for trial and error with this kind of thing; one wrong move and they could all perish. The pressure she was under was unimaginable.

After calming her breathing slightly, Chu Liyue pulled his hand, which was wiping her sweat, and kissed it lightly.

Her sweet baby is so caring.

Sometimes she would think that if Xiao Wujie hadn't been in poor health, and if her personality hadn't been so much stronger than his, her darling would definitely have had the potential to be a father figure boyfriend.

Gentle, attentive, and with a good personality.

Lu Zhufeng: Hehehe, that depends on the person...

Seeing Chu Liyue's slightly darkened gaze as she looked at him, Xiao Wujie couldn't help but smile. He snuggled closer to her and nuzzled against her, his eyes sparkling.

Why does he love the way his sister looks at him, like she wants to lock him up and devour him piece by piece?

very nice.

He can only belong to my sister. As long as she's happy, he'll do anything.

Gently pulling him close by the waist, Chu Liyue glanced at the excited crowd, her gaze instantly returning to its coldness, and she spoke in a chilling voice:

"Don't be too happy yet."

"Pack up, let's get ready to go to the deepest part."

There are too many doubts along the way.

Some unpleasant thoughts began to form in her mind.

Her gaze swept across the seemingly endless corridor, her eyes growing ever more profound and unfathomable.

Perhaps the answer can be found there...

"Sweetie, are you keeping up with the stamina?"

Leading Xiao Wujie into the corridor, Chu Liyue looked at him with concern in her eyes.

She thought it would be resolved quickly, but it took so long, and she was worried that he wouldn't have the stamina.

Nodding slightly, Xiao Wujie instinctively took her arm and moved closer to her, his deep eyes gazing towards the end of the corridor as he spoke softly:

"Sister, there might be a big thing inside..."

Chu Liyue's eyes flickered slightly, and she pondered before speaking:

"It's probably a large Deadpool made from the bodies of some giant beasts."

She gently squeezed his hand, her voice low and cold, "Be good, just stay close to me, don't be afraid."

Xiao Wujie narrowed his eyes slightly, "Yes, I'm not afraid if my sister protects me."

Everyone: "..."

Following the narrow corridor, the group finally arrived at the deepest part of the base.

With this area cleaned up, this task is now successfully completed.

But the Deadpools, their bodies contorted as they emerged from behind the laboratory doors, made it clear that another fierce battle was likely to ensue.

Suddenly, a hissing and crawling sound broke the silence.

Just then, the ground of the base began to tremble slightly, as if something heavy was approaching.

"Warning! It's a giant Deadpool!"

As Chu Liyue's cold and authoritative voice fell, everyone stood back to back in a circle, their sharp gazes sweeping around them.

The tremors grew stronger, and dust and shards of glass on the ground began to bounce with the vibrations.

The next moment, a crack suddenly appeared in the wall in the direction Lu Zhufeng was facing, and gusts of cold wind blew out from the crack, bringing with them a nauseating stench.

The crack gradually widened, and a huge black shadow slowly emerged from the darkness.

With a loud crash, the wall collapsed instantly after being violently impacted.

With Lu Zhufeng's classic "Holy crap!", a giant python covered in black scales and with scarlet eyes appeared in their field of vision.

The giant python's body was incredibly thick, almost as thick as an adult man's waist, and its length was impossible to estimate. It was coiled at the end of the corridor, almost occupying the entire space.

Its scales, like polished obsidian, reflected a faint light under the cold base lights.

The crimson light burning in his eyes was like hellfire, sending chills down one's spine.

Twisting its massive body, the enormous snake head was raised high, and its scarlet eyes locked onto the group. Then, the giant python opened its huge mouth, its sharp, knife-like teeth protruding, and suddenly swooped down.

Lu Zhufeng caught the laser knife that Leng Ruxue threw at him and roared, "Fuck your mother, you beast!"

His black clothes fluttered in the wind, veins bulging on his arms, as he swung his knife to meet the giant snake head that was swooping down.

The expected spray of blood did not occur; the indestructible, metal-slicing laser blade made a piercing "sizzling" sound the moment it touched the snake's head.

Sparks flew as the blade struck the snake's head.

The giant python's scarlet eyes blazed with intense red light, and its head lashed out violently, sending Lu Zhufeng flying backward.

A sharp, piercing sound rang out as the enormous snake tail swept swiftly toward Lu Zhufeng, who was flying backward.

However, another slender figure was even faster. With each leap, it left behind afterimages, and its laser blade mercilessly aimed at the giant python's vital spot.

The three inches mark is where its spine is located; if you break the three inches, it will no longer be able to lift its head and bite.

The python's scales were exceptionally hard; the laser blade only left a shallow scratch on them.

However, the giant python's attention was instantly drawn to Chu Liyue, who had slashed three inches of its body with her sword. It opened its huge mouth wide and let out a deafening roar.

With a sudden twist of its massive body, the snake tail that had been lashing out at Lu Zhufeng instantly changed direction and lashed out at Chu Liyue.

Suddenly, an endless expanse of gray-white appeared and spread, encroaching on the giant python's body, and the python's twitching tail slowed down at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Xiao Wujie's bug-level supernatural ability - Heaven and Earth Lose Color.
