Everything seemed to be developing in the expected direction. Xiao Wujie's feeling was neither good nor bad. He just hoped that there would be fewer changes and that everything would go smoothly.
So, as expected, an unexpected event still occurred.
On the third night of their imprisonment, Xiao Wujie sneaked into Chu Liyue's room again, cuddled with her for a while, and then fell asleep contentedly in her arms.
But he suddenly fell ill in his sleep in the early morning, and was in so much pain that his whole body trembled and he lost consciousness.
Chu Liyue quickly took out the special medicine made by Lin Qingyi from his pocket and fed it to him.
Half an hour passed, and Coco's pain had not lessened much; his whole body was soaked in sticky sweat.
He trembled and curled up in Chu Liyue's arms, as if only by hiding in his sister's embrace could he find a trace of comfort in his endless pain.
Chu Liyue sat leaning against the edge of the bed, one arm around him and the other gripping his chin to prevent him from hurting himself due to unbearable pain.
Her face was cold and stern, her gaze sharp and intimidating. Though her heart was burning like fire, she forced herself to remain calm.
They were in a secret CIA detention center in the suburbs, which obviously could not be equipped with good medical resources. Given its secrecy, it was even less likely that doctors would be publicly displayed to save lives.
In stage IV disease, with such unbearable pain, if Xiao Wujie were allowed to continue suffering without external intervention, the consequences would be unimaginable.
The next second, she suddenly looked up at the tightly closed door.
P.S.: I'm a bit tired and not feeling well, so I'm taking a day off.
Only one update today, but will continue with three updates every day from now on. I also need to organize my thoughts and smooth out the plot.
The storyline centered on Vito Rosso will likely conclude in the next two or three days, and the following section should be the most exciting and climactic part of the book.
The plot twists and turns endlessly, and three-quarters of the plot holes will be filled in this part of the story. All the most requested elements will also be included, so you can look forward to it (hehe).
Sometimes inspiration strikes while writing, but there are also times when you get stuck and feel frustrated. As an author, it's hard to judge how well you've written.
I can only thank you all for your hard work and support in reading this far.
I'll adjust my mindset and keep going. If you have any opinions, feel free to leave a comment below; I'll read them all.
grateful!
