After the blinding light faded, only a cloud of blood mist remained.
Gazing at Chu Liyue's slender figure standing gracefully at the forefront, the group of Chinese soldiers couldn't help but show their respect and cheer.
But Chu Liyue, standing at the very front, did not relax at all, her extremely sharp gaze fixed on the deep darkness beyond the reach of the light.
There, a twisted and terrifying figure moved slowly.
Standing next to Xiao Wujie, Beishan quickly pointed to the moving red dot on the tablet, "Vito Rosso, it's Vito Rosso."
Xiao Wujie was still recovering from a serious illness, and his legs were getting weak after standing for a long time. He put his long arm on his shoulder for support, and his deep eyes shone as he looked straight into the darkness in the distance.
Suddenly, his pupils contracted, and a hint of disbelief appeared in his usually calm eyes.
The heavy footsteps caused the ground to tremble slightly, and a stench of decay and death filled the air.
The heavy, slow breathing rhythmically echoed in everyone's ears, like a whisper from the abyss, causing everyone's hearts to tighten involuntarily.
As the figure in the darkness drew closer, its grotesque and twisted form became vaguely visible.
When it stepped out of the darkness and was fully exposed to everyone, it still made everyone almost gasp for breath.
Its body was so twisted that it almost lost its human outline, and its skin was a sickly gray-green with irregular cracks all over its surface, like a weathered stone statue.
The joints are bent at an illogical angle, creating an extremely bizarre posture.
What truly left everyone speechless was his face. Even though his facial muscles were taut and his features were distorted, everyone could still easily identify the owner of that face—Vito Rosso.
His eyes were sunken, and a ghostly green light flickered in his eye sockets like will-o'-the-wisps, making him look like a monster, without any resemblance to a normal human.
Beishan, standing next to Xiao Wujie, stared wide-eyed at the red dot that had stopped on the tablet, then at the ferocious monster standing in front of him. For a moment, his eyes were almost blank.
Leng Ruxue shared the same expression. Looking at the bizarre monster in front of her, she subconsciously thought it was another clone, or a monster created by Vito Rosso.
He immediately pulled out a scanner resembling a flashlight from the backpack on his shoulder, and a beam of blue light shot out, accurately landing on the monster with Vito Rosso's face.
Alarm symbols lit up instantly on the scanner.
Leng Ruxue stared blankly up at Chu Liyue in front of her, and spoke in a dry voice:
"Boss, this... there's no trace of a chip in his brain."
Even though it was hard to believe, she still said with difficulty, "It's not Deadpool, it's not a clone... it's the original."
Chu Liyue's cold and deep eyes flickered slightly upon hearing this, but she didn't seem too surprised.
She was the person who knew Deadpool best among those present, and she noticed something was wrong the moment she saw the humanoid monster.
Deadpool's purpose is to kill. A standard Deadpool is stripped of his autonomy and his pain receptors are destroyed, turning him into a killing machine.
The purpose of cloning is to deceive others. They will try their best to make the memory chip and various programs perfect, so that it is difficult for people to distinguish the real from the fake.
But the thing in front of me was a strange creature, its eyes empty yet seemingly struggling, conscious yet seemingly out of its control.
There is only one possibility: Vito Rosso was controlled and turned into Deadpool.
The fact that there was no trace of a chip in her brain yet she could still firmly control people suggests the most likely explanation—supernatural powers.
With this thought in mind, she couldn't help but turn around and look at Xiao Wujie behind her. Seeing Xiao Wujie's deep gaze, she nodded heavily at him.
Sweeping in the blue light of the scanner, his eyes blazed with ferocity, his body turned gray-green, and his cracked muscles bulged. He let out a roar and pounced on Leng Ruxue in an instant.
Slender and sharp, blade-like fingers spread out menacingly, slicing through the air with a sharp, screeching sound.
The cracking sound emanating from the grotesque body was like bones breaking, sending chills down one's spine.
In the next instant, Chu Liyue's slender figure shot out, her lightsaber slashing down.
A horrifying scene unfolded as the lightsaber, capable of slicing through iron like mud, struck him, producing a piercing metallic scraping sound and sending sparks flying.
With a roar, the monstrous Vito Rosso suddenly exerted force with his hand, creating a loud whooshing sound that distorted the surrounding air.
Chu Liyue's slender figure shot backward as Vito Rosso lunged forward menacingly.
Two figures flashed by as Lu Zhufeng and Yun Mo rushed forward, their fists clad in steel gloves and wind blades activated by supernatural techniques meeting the attack simultaneously.
It's like hitting a copper wall or an iron barrier; it's impossible to damage it in the slightest.
As Lu Zhufeng and Yun Mo each held off Vito Rosso's arm, exposing his chest, Chu Liyue suddenly flipped over, her lightsaber tracing a smooth path.
A dark blue light blade slashed out, and Lu Zhufeng and Yun Mo retreated at the same time as the light blade struck straight towards their chests.
The monstrous Vito Rosso suddenly roared, crossed his arms to protect his chest, and clashed violently with the light blade.
A violent gust of air surged outwards, the sound of metal scraping against metal mingling with the increasingly ferocious roar of the monster Vito Rosso, creating a deafening roar.
Immediately afterwards, to everyone's utter astonishment, the monster Vito Rosso roared, his leg muscles bulging as he gripped the ground, and with a sudden burst of strength, a blue energy blade shot into the sky along with his arm, shattering in mid-air and bursting forth with blinding white light.
As the light and smoke dissipated, Vito Rosso was panting heavily, his arms trembling, but he was still unharmed.
At this moment, Lu Zhufeng, who was standing next to Chu Liyue, suddenly narrowed his eyes.
