The thick darkness seemed to have a life of its own, squeezing every inch of space, even swallowing up the starlight without leaving a trace.
A suffocating sense of oppression filled the air, as if an invisible hand was tightly gripping one's breath.
The understated yet luxurious manor stands quietly, its outline appearing somewhat eerie under the moonlight.
This is Liyue Manor in the Ice City...
silence!
Boundless silence!
Not even the slightest sound of the wind could be heard.
Suddenly, the roar of a wild sports car rapidly approached from afar, then sped into the manor, shattering the unsettling silence.
With a sharp, piercing screech of brakes, the driver's door opened before the car had even come to a complete stop.
A man in a black suit quickly jumped out of the car, opened the back door, and carried someone out by the waist.
The man was so handsome he was almost otherworldly. Compared to five years ago, he had shed his youthful naiveté and gained a more mature air.
But that handsome face that one could look at for a lifetime without getting tired of it was now deathly pale, devoid of any color, and his eyes, which seemed to hold a sky full of stars, were tightly closed and trembling slightly.
Upon seeing this, a certain place seemed to contract suddenly, then quickly tightened, and a sour feeling spread.
Several people were already waiting beside the car. They were shrouded in shadow, so their faces could not be seen. They quickly surrounded the newcomer and rushed towards the main house.
Upon entering the room, the man in the black suit quickly and gently placed the person in his arms on the bed.
Several people wearing white coats whose faces were obscured immediately surrounded the area and began to work tirelessly to save the patient.
The man being rescued opened his eyes in a daze, breathing with difficulty, and bright red blood kept gushing from his mouth.
The bright red blood was so glaring against the dark and terrifying black and white scene that the gushing sense of panic almost brought the scene to a standstill.
The bright red blood continued to flow, so intense that it almost made one forget to breathe.
Like a beautiful but withered rose about to fade away!
His eyes struggled to open and close, his gaze unfocused and unsteady as he stared at the ceiling, his words mumbled indistinctly:
"Sister, I can't wait for you anymore..."
The faint cry of "I can't wait for you anymore" kept echoing.
Then he closed his eyes completely.
The entire scene froze instantly, and the whole world fell silent!
That bright red color kept deepening and expanding.
Until a loud "bang," the screen shattered instantly.
In a slightly dimly lit room
Chu Liyue suddenly opened her closed eyes.
Her once beautiful eyes were now bloodshot and filled with fear, and a thin layer of sweat appeared on her forehead.
She was sitting back on a luxurious leather sofa with her long legs crossed, the panic filling her heart causing her usually calm red lips to part slightly and her breathing to become a little rapid.
She couldn't help but sit up, her rapid breathing causing her chest to heave. It took a long time before her deep, beautiful eyes regained some of their sparkle.
This is the umpteenth time she's had this nightmare!
In his dream, Xiao Wujie coughed up blood, his eyes filled with despair and confusion, murmuring, "Sister, I can't wait for you anymore." Then he closed his eyes completely and stopped breathing.
These days, she has this nightmare every time she closes her eyes.
The feeling in the dream was so real!

Skyscrapers stand like giants, each window shimmering with warm, bright light, like the brightest stars in the night sky.
But this night was destined to be anything but peaceful!
A towering fire erupted from a skyscraper in the heart of the city, shattering the silence of the night sky.
It was already night, and most floors were dark except for the top floor, which was lit up.
The red fire serpent shot into the sky without warning and quickly spread to the higher floors.
Alarms blared throughout the building, and a group of burly bodyguards quickly appeared in the hallway, rushing towards the fire extinguishers.
Just as the person at the front was about to touch the fire extinguisher, he suddenly trembled and stopped moving.
He stared wide-eyed, his face filled with astonishment as he looked at his chest.
Blood was gushing out there, and before he could even open his mouth to make a sound, he collapsed to the ground, his eyes wide open.
Silenced gun!
Although the gunshots were suppressed, the remaining people quickly determined the direction from which the bullets were coming.
A woman dressed in black, pointing a gun at them, appeared behind them without them noticing.
A black mask covered half of her face, revealing only a pair of deep eyes that shone with a sharp and calm light, like cold stars in the night sky.
In the blink of an eye as they turned around, several more people had already fallen.
Guns are prohibited in China, so even though they were bodyguards, they couldn't carry them with them. They exchanged glances, dispersed, and rushed toward the woman in black.
