The waves surged, gently lapping against the rocks on the shore, creating a crimson splash.
A solitary figure lay there, looking as thin as a piece of paper from afar.
It seemed as if a single wave could sweep him away.
A gust of wind could blow him away.
A rapid "whoosh" sound rang out as a slender figure, treading on the cold waves, charged madly toward the frail figure.
She went against the current, her long hair flowing like a waterfall, blown about by the sea breeze. She staggered several times, but she rushed forward recklessly.
The icy seawater submerged Chu Liyue's slender waist, and her blood felt like it was freezing.
My mind went blank, the whole world was dark, and all that remained was that paper-thin figure in front of me.
The waves relentlessly pounded against her slender body, and she finally reached his side.
The sight before her made her heart clench and stop beating instantly.
What met her eyes was a piercing red, like a sharp knife. Lying in front of her was a blood-soaked figure with tousled hair covering its face, making it impossible to see its features.
The sea breeze was so wild it could blow a person away, but it couldn't dispel the thick, nauseating smell of blood.
With a "smack," she slapped herself hard across the face.
She felt she had mistaken someone for someone else.
How could this be the person she has in her heart?
The person in her heart is the precious treasure she cherishes.
Even a minor bump or bruise would make him cry out in pain, and she would comfort him for a long time with heartache.
How could she let him become like this, a state that can no longer be called human?
Even if it means her death, it's unacceptable.
Her darling is so amazing and considerate, he knows she'll feel sorry for him, how could he bear to make her feel sad and upset?
She reached out to brush away the stray hairs on his forehead; a single strand of white hair, sharp as a needle, pricked her with excruciating pain.
Such a beautiful face, yet a hideous scar grotesquely lines the corner of his perfect eye, as if to devour all his beauty.
A crimson liquid, whether blood or tears, slid down her snow-white skin, leaving a poignant trail.
She panicked and reached out to wipe away the blood that kept seeping from the corner of his mouth.
But the bloodstains were like a winding river, impossible for her to wipe clean.
Even more terrifying is why there's a hole in the baby's belly?
The bright red blood, a symbol of life, was flowing out of the blood hole at an unstoppable speed.
The striking crimson against the surrounding snow-white creates an extreme visual impact, as if life and death are clashing and pulling at each other.
Her hands trembled as she touched his body, and in an instant, her fair hands were stained crimson with blood.
The warm and sticky sensation almost made her vomit.
She tried to cover the bloody hole with her hand, but the warm blood flowed like a flood that had been released, and she couldn't stop it.
A massive rift opened up from the depths of her heart, and an endless wave of fear surged forth from it, instantly engulfing her.
She opened her mouth and called out to him with all her might, but not a single sound came out.
She wanted to hug him, but there wasn't a single intact part of his body, and she didn't know where to start.
The cracks in my heart were pierced by countless sharp blades, and my eyes overflowed with tears mixed with blood, which fell drop by drop onto the snow, blooming into flowers of weeping blood.
With a loud "boom," a huge wave swept towards them.
Chu Liyue instantly opened her coat, bent down, and shielded the blood-stained person beneath her.
The waves crashed against her slender body, causing her to shudder violently, almost knocking her over and sweeping her away, but she didn't move an inch.
She picked him up as if he were a piece of paper soaked in blood.
She ran frantically, ran desperately.
She wanted to run out of the wind, out of the waves, out of the lightning, out of time, and out of death!
The waves continue to surge, washing away the blood-red stains along the way, all traces of what has happened, and a sorrow more turbulent than the ocean itself.
Suddenly, rain began to fall from the sky, as if the sky were weeping.
Meanwhile, in the thick clouds, on a plane bound for Lingnan, an old man dressed in a Zhongshan-style robe frowned and reached out to hold his wildly beating heart.
The butler, known as Old He, rushed forward and asked anxiously, "Master, what's wrong?"
The old man, leaning on his cane, looked a little pale. After a moment, he waved his hand and said, "It's nothing, I just suddenly felt a little panicked."
Ignoring the worried look in the eyes of his butler, he looked up at the window, where he could vaguely see the sea churning below.
His gaze wavered for a moment, then he asked, "Where are we?"
Old He replied, "The capital city."
"The place we are in now is called Haijing Bay."
The old man nodded slightly, looked away, and lowered his eyes, seemingly lost in thought.
*
It was another cold operating room, another dimly lit corridor.
"How is the situation?"
A nurse emerged from the operating room, her expression showing some difficulty when faced with Lu Zhufeng's question.
A look of struggle appeared in her eyes as she tried to speak: "The patient... has no breathing or heartbeat for the time being."
Faced with the intimidating Lu Zhufeng, there were some things she dared not say directly.
In her mind, the person in the operating room was already dead.
Lu Zhufeng's expression froze for a moment.
Immediately afterwards, a terrifying aura that could engulf a person suddenly spread out.
A violent urge to flatten the whole world filled his mind, constantly tugging at the string called reason.
"Lu Zhufeng!"
Just as he was about to lose control and yell at the nurse whose eyes were trembling, Ai Ruoman suddenly pulled him back, looking at him with red eyes.
