Yunmo is not afraid of strong winds and heavy rain, lightning and thunder, but it is only afraid of the silent snow.
Two years ago, on that chaotic snowy night, those blood-stained scenes became his nightmare.
Whenever it snows, he suffers nightmares, mental breakdowns, and sleepless nights.
The weather forecast says it looks like it will snow lightly tonight.
Yunmo's eyes trembled slightly. He reached out from under the covers and grabbed Chuwan's hand, as if he was afraid and didn't want to let her go.
A complex look also appeared in Chu Wan's eyes.
Yunmo's condition has actually improved considerably. His nightmares about snowy days began last winter.
At that time, a year had passed since Xiao Wujie fell into a deep sleep.
At first, everything was normal, until those snowy days, when she noticed that Yunmo's eyes were red and swollen, his eyelids were dark and his eyes were full of fine blood vessels every morning.
When asked, he only said he had a nightmare and didn't sleep well.
However, the insomnia made him feel extremely unwell.
She secretly installed a camera in his room and discovered that he was plagued by nightmares every night, constantly shouting "No!" before waking up in fear and breaking down in tears under the covers.
During that time, she didn't even dare to go back to her room. She stayed by his bedside all night. Whenever he was awakened by nightmares, she would hold him in her arms to comfort him, and he gradually got better.
The scene from last year was still vivid in her mind. Yunmo was clearly afraid to fall asleep, clinging to her and not closing his eyes for a long time.
Chu Wan sat on the edge of the bed, gently stroking his head and comforting him:
It may not snow.
"I am here."
Yunmo could see that she was exhausted after a long day at work, and couldn't bear to keep bothering her any longer. He gritted his teeth, took Chuwan's hand and placed it on his heart, his eyes trembling with tears.
"Sister Wan, can I fall asleep before I leave?"
He took sleeping pills, so he won't fall asleep too slowly.
Chu Wan nodded immediately, and gently patted his shoulder with her other hand to help him fall asleep.
An unnatural look appeared between her brows. Yunmo held her hand, her eyelashes trembling slightly as she closed her eyes, trying to drift off to sleep.
After a while, his face calmed down, and his steady breathing was heard.
Chu Wan gently rubbed her sore eyes, but did not leave immediately. She simply looked down at his peaceful sleeping face, her eyes filled with a gentle smile, and her fingers lightly traced his eyebrows and eyes.
In the dim, warm light, she sat there until the early hours of the morning.
Looking at Yunmo, who was sleeping soundly on the bed, and then at the dark sky outside the window, there seemed to be no sign of snow.
After gently stroking Yunmo's forehead twice, Chuwan tiptoed out of the room.
Time passed slowly, the night deepened, and everything fell into extreme silence.
At two in the morning, tiny white dots appeared on the dark horizon.
The snow fell silently.
In the darkness, all that could be seen was white. A slender figure, like a lifelong faith, stood suspended in mid-air, surrounded by wind and snow, and thunder poured down.
The next instant, he turned around, and with a "whoosh," a splash of blood flew up.
The frail figure continued to fall, blood splattering everywhere.
Sharp rocks pierced his body, and the flowing blood stained the entire scene red...
In another room, Chu Wan lay on her side on the bed with her eyes closed. Although she was tired, she had something on her mind and was not completely asleep.
In my hazy state of consciousness, I seemed to hear the door opening slightly and faint footsteps.
After a moment of struggle, she suddenly opened her eyes.
In the darkness before the bed, a small figure had appeared out of nowhere.
The room was quiet, and his heavy breathing could be clearly heard.
On the first night, he turned on the bedside lamp. Under the dim light, Yunmo's forehead was damp with sticky sweat. He lowered his head, the upper half of his face was hidden in shadow, his small mouth was slightly open, and he was breathing rapidly.
Realizing that Chu Wan had woken up, Yun Mo looked up, revealing his eyes, which were hidden by stray hairs on his forehead. His eyes were bloodshot and trembling, filled with endless fear.
The moment his eyes met Chu Wan's gaze, his eyes reddened. "Wan... Sister Wan."
Immediately afterwards, he suddenly rushed into Chu Wan's arms, as if he had grabbed a lifeline, hugging her waist tightly, burying his face in her chest, his body trembling uncontrollably.
As evening light swept across the falling snow outside the window, it became clear what had happened.
Looking at Yunmo, whose body was trembling violently in her arms, a look of heartache appeared in her eyes.
She wasn't good at comforting people, so she could only hold him tightly, pat his back gently, and whisper to him, "It's okay."
Like a drowning person about to suffocate who has been rescued and pulled ashore, gasping for breath, Yunmo is gently held and comforted by Chuwan, and his emotions instantly break down.
Tears streamed down his face like a torrent, and he broke down in tears.
"Sister Wan, does Teacher... not want me anymore?"
"It's been almost two years, why hasn't he woken up yet?"
"Will he never wake up? Does he not want me anymore?"
Chu Wan held him tightly, her palms gently stroking his head and back, her lips close to his ear, repeatedly whispering "I want you" and "You'll wake up."
Yunmo released his grip on her waist, instead wrapping his arms around her neck, shaking his head in utter despair:
You lied to me, didn't you?
"Sister Wan, you're lying to me, aren't you?"
Seeing him cry harder and harder, on the verge of collapse, Chu Wan's eyes filled with anxiety.
She lifted his face and, without a word, lowered her head to kiss his lips.
Her tongue pried open his teeth, entwining passionately, while her fingers slipped between his hair, gently rubbing it.
Yunmo's body stiffened abruptly as the sweet scent unique to Chuwan enveloped him, and the cloying sweetness that assaulted his senses tantalized him.
His body relaxed involuntarily, a blush spreading from his cheeks to the tips of his ears. He wrapped his arms around her neck and responded shyly.
