Chapter 406 Xiao Qianshan's Methods

The energy surged and the aftershocks of the collision took a long time to subside.

As the gale subsided and the dust settled, Robot No. 79 stood tall and immovable, its steel body unyielding.

Although the raised light shield was worn down and riddled with holes, it steadily withstood the devastating attack.

Purple clouds surged in the sky, and Aisie Hall's eerie face reappeared, her thin lips slightly curved, her soft, feminine voice praising:

"A mortal body against extraordinary magic."

"Xiao Qianshan, you're quite capable."

Xiao Qianshan, leaning on his cane, calmly met Aisie Hall's eerie, chilling eyes.

"We are all ordinary people, just walking different paths."

"Special arts are not necessarily extraordinary things."

For someone at his level, everything is law; extraordinary techniques are merely special and rare, not insurmountable.

Aisie Hall smiled effeminately: "Well said."

"But how much longer can you hold on?"

Her slender eyebrows twitched, and her empty gaze fell on the cane in Xiao Qianshan's hand.

"You use this to control them, don't you?"

Xiao Qianshan's gaze flickered slightly as he leaned on his cane, without denying it.

The cane in his hand looks antique, but it actually contains special sensors that can silently issue commands to robot No. 79.

Although Robot 79 is highly intelligent, it still needs a human brain with even greater power to control it when facing Aisie Hall.

Upon hearing this, Xiao Yuxuan and Xiao Linzui's expressions changed. They had already noticed that Xiao Qianshan was not in a good state. Although they could not be sure what had happened, if this continued, Xiao Qianshan's condition would probably not be optimistic.

Xiao Yuxuan immediately stepped forward, his expression cold and ruthless. Even when facing Aisie Hall directly, he remained unfazed. He said in a deep voice, "Father, hand over the control of Robot 79 to me. Let me take over!"

Xiao Qianshan glanced sideways and shook his head slightly. "You're no match for her. Just protect Feng Yin and Jing Yuan and the others."

If Xiao Shuihan were here, he could consider it, but neither Xiao Yuxuan nor Xiao Linzui are proficient in this area and cannot replace him.

Xiao Qianshan raised his eyes to meet Aisie Hall's sinister gaze, and suddenly said in a low voice: "Feng Yin, Jing Yuan, you have been protected too well by your families. Consider today's events as an opportunity for you to broaden your horizons."

"Fear is not the way to solve the problem, and the unknown is not invincible."

"Now, watch carefully."

Aisie Hall let out a cold laugh, "Such arrogance."

As she finished speaking, a starlight shone in her eyes as she stared straight down.

"Close your eyes!" Before the light in her eyes had faded, Xiao Qianshan had already shouted coldly at Xiao Yuxuan and the others behind him.

The black-clad assassins surrounding them weren't so lucky. The moment they met Aisie Hall's gaze, their bodies trembled violently, and then their eyes went completely blank.

As they swayed unsteadily, their eyes remained fixed on the towering Robot No. 79, and then they surged towards the neatly arranged robots like a tidal wave.

The robot's LED-enhanced mechanical eyes flashed, and it immediately brandished its lightsaber to stop the irrationally charging assassin.

At this moment, a thick purple light surged from the narrow eyes of Aisie Hall in the air, instantly condensing into an eerie longsword that pierced straight towards Xiao Qianshan, who was standing in the center of Robot No. 79.

The robot protecting Xiao Qianshan swiftly erected a light shield to block the oncoming lightsaber.

However, as some robots were separated to block the incoming assassins, the light shield became noticeably dimmer than before.

The purple longsword, brimming with evil energy, pierced straight into the light shield, producing an extremely grating scraping sound.

The slightly dimmed light shield was clearly not as adept as it had been in dealing with the previous round of attacks. Fine cracks quickly appeared at the point where the sword tip met the light shield, and the light became even dimmer.

Sparks flew out continuously, and the giant foot of Robot No. 79 sank deep into the ground. Then, in the trembling gazes of Xiao Yuxuan and the others, the light shield suddenly shattered.

The purple lightsaber, accompanied by the sound of air being torn apart, hurtled straight toward Xiao Qianshan.

"Father!"

"grandfather!"

Amid a chorus of exclamations, Xiao Qianshan frowned slightly, but his gaze remained calm.

Before the enormous lightsaber, his body appeared old and frail, seemingly vulnerable.

The next second, the huge steel figure suddenly flashed in front of him.

The robot commander, standing five meters tall, had blue LED lights flashing in his eyes, and his iron hand suddenly gripped a purple lightsaber.

At the same time, a faint blue light emanated from its chest, and a thin blue light shield spread out, causing the light around the purple lightsaber to dim instantly when it touched it.

“This is…” Aisie Hall’s eyes widened suddenly in mid-air.

The robot commander clapped his hands together, grabbed the purple lightsaber, and threw it into the air, whereupon the purple light exploded.

The violent aftershocks swept in all directions, with Xiao Qianshan and the robot commander, located in the very center, bearing the brunt of the impact.

"Father!" Xiao Yuxuan's pupils were about to burst, and he was about to step forward, but the raging wind and dust instantly forced him back.

The howling wind whipped up sand and dust, blurring the view and instantly obscuring Xiao Qianshan's figure.

The aftershocks lasted for nearly two minutes before finally subsiding.

As the smoke cleared, a deep, aged cough sent a shiver down everyone's spine.

Xiao Yuxuan and the others hurriedly turned their gazes to that spot, where a tall robot was kneeling on one knee, erecting a light shield. Behind it, Xiao Qianshan's hand, which was holding a cane, was visibly trembling. His face was as white as paper, and a glaring crimson stain was spilling from the corner of his mouth.

Clearly, the commander robot absorbed most of the damage, but the aftereffects still affected Xiao Qianshan.
