The car sped along the winding road, heading straight for the mountain villa.
In the car, Xiao Wujie and Lu Zhufeng sat side by side in the back seat, chatting idly.
Just then, Xiao Wujie's phone rang; it was a video call from Chu Liyue.
Xiao Wujie pressed the answer button, and what he saw was her stunningly beautiful face. Judging from the background behind her, they must have already arrived at the manor.
Xiao Wujie's pale, bony fingers gently traced her beautiful eyebrows and eyes through the screen, and he called out softly, "Sister."
A smile flickered in Chu Liyue's eyes, and a slight curve appeared at the corner of her lips: "My dear, where are we?"
Xiao Wujie glanced at the map navigation, "It will take about fifteen minutes to get there."
Chu Liyue nodded: "I'll wait for you outside."
At this point, they should have hung up, but none of them did.
Xiao Wujie continued to trace her features with his fingers, softly calling out "Sister".
He called her "sister," and Chu Liyue responded in a low, aloof tone.
The evening breeze ruffled Chu Liyue's hair, scattering it across the screen. Xiao Wujie subconsciously flicked his fingers, but to no avail. He frowned and said, "Sister, I can't see you."
Chu Liyue casually tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, and the beauty she unintentionally revealed was still breathtaking.
She looked at Xiao Wujie's glistening eyes on the screen, chuckled softly through the screen, and playfully flicked his nose, asking affectionately:
"What time did you get up this morning? Are you sleepy?"
"You left at nine o'clock and slept for another two hours. I'm not sleepy now."
"Did you take your medicine on time?"
"Um."
"What about lunch?"
"I can't eat, I feel like throwing up."
Chu Liyue lowered her gaze slightly and asked again, "Are you feeling unwell while I was away?"
Xiao Wujie shook his head: "No, it's just that this car isn't as comfortable as my sister's car."
"Let Lu Zhufeng find you a cushion to lean on."
As soon as she finished speaking, Chu Nanfeng's voice came from the screen: "Sis, Xiao Wujie isn't a child anymore, you can stop now."
“You can’t raise a son the way you do it.”
Chu Liyue glanced back coldly, and Chu Nanfeng's voice abruptly stopped.
She looked back at Xiao Wujie and coaxed him gently, "Hang up first, your sister will be waiting for you outside the door. You'll see her when you come over."
Xiao Wujie nodded and reluctantly hung up the phone.
Lu Zhufeng blinked slowly, his expression stiff, "To put it bluntly..."
"Say something nice, today is your wedding day," Xiao Wujie interrupted calmly.
Lu Zhufeng's lips twitched twice, and he stammered, "Are you sure you want to go this far...?"
Xiao Wujie leaned back in his seat, turned his neck, looked out the window, and said softly, "As for..."
He didn't know how much time he had left.
He cherished every minute and every second he spent with her.
The car quickly entered the mountain resort. The setting sun painted the sky with vibrant colors, and the buildings in the mountains lit up one after another, like sparks echoing the golden light on the horizon.
Chu Liyue wore an exquisite light-colored suit, her figure slender and graceful, her face stunningly beautiful.
The slanting sunlight fell on the four people, casting three shadows on the ground.
Xiao Wujie and Chu Liyue's shadows merged together.
Xiao Wujie lowered his head, being held by Chu Liyue, his head nuzzling against her neck, his thin lips lightly kissing the delicate skin of her neck.
Chu Liyue tilted her slender neck slightly back, her fingers gently rubbing the back of his head, indulging his clinginess, and even leaving a faint ring of teeth marks on her neck.
Beside them, Chu Nanfeng and Lu Zhufeng, one looking at the villa and the other at the sunset.
Chu Liyue was entangled by Xiao Wujie, who seemed oblivious to everyone else, his face full of dependence. His handsome face was outlined in the setting sun, his long eyelashes glistening with light, as he leaned close to Chu Liyue's face, wanting to kiss her.
Chu Liyue wrapped one arm around his slender waist and gently squeezed it, while her other hand used long fingers to lift his chin and gently kiss his dry lips, her tongue rolling in to satisfy him, kissing him for half a minute.
"Okay, be good."
"You're the best man today, so you have something to do."
She released her lips, cupped Xiao Wujie's face, and gently pecked his eyebrows, eyes, and nose twice, softly coaxing him.
Xiao Wujie held her slender waist for a while, then stopped teasing her.
He took Chu Liyue's arm and walked into the manor, asking in a low voice, "Sister, are you very busy today? You haven't come to see me."
Chu Liyue bent her arm and grabbed his hand, gently playing with and kneading it, replying, "Yes, I had a lot of things to take care of in Lingnan recently."
"I'll spend more time with you when I'm done with work. If you feel better and miss your sister, you can come to the company."
Xiao Wujie nodded, his eyes flickering, then leaned down to whisper in her ear, his voice slightly embarrassed: "Next time, I want to sleep on the bed in the lounge with you, sister..."
Behind him, Lu Zhufeng looked at the two figures in front of him from a distance, tilting his head slightly upwards to look at the sky.
He's probably the first groom in history to walk down the aisle with his best man.
Once inside the villa, Xiao Wujie regained his composure and returned to his duties.
He accompanied Lu Zhufeng to pick up Ai Ruoman. When they reached the door, Yun Mo and Leng Ruxue came to block their way.
"Old Lu, you know that if you want to see the bride, you have to give some kind of gift, right?" Yun Mo chuckled, his eyes filled with ill intent.
“A red envelope? I don’t have one, but show me the code and name a price…” Lu Zhufeng waved his hand and pointed at Xiao Wujie: “Let him scan it.”
Leng Ruxue waved her hand dismissively and exclaimed, "Uncle, you're so vulgar. Who needs your little bit of money?"
Lu Zhufeng raised an eyebrow: "Then what do you want..."
With a "bang," a washboard landed on the ground. Leng Ruxue crossed her arms and raised her chin.
“Uncle, kneel on a washboard and call Sister Man your wife through the door. If Sister Man responds with ‘husband,’ we’ll let you in.”
As soon as she finished speaking, Lu Zhufeng knelt down on the washboard with a thud, shouting "Wife!" in a voice that shook the heavens and the earth.
