Xiao Shuihan scratched his head and chuckled: "I'm sorry you had to see this. But you're still filial, at least you knew to bring me to the school clinic. As a reward, I'll treat you to dinner."
Wu Kun was about to speak when he saw Luo Yilan, who was next to Xiao Shuihan, stand up. She turned to look at Xiao Shuihan, then quickly looked away and said calmly, "I'm leaving now."
He then turned and nodded to the school doctor and Wu Kun before quickly leaving.
Xiao Shuihan wanted to call her back. Since Senior Luo was the first to find him and take him to the school clinic, he should at least thank her and treat her to a meal or something to show his gratitude.
But considering Luo Yilan's aloof personality, he still took the time to express his gratitude privately.
The school doctor said he was fine, so Xiao Shuihan naturally wouldn't stay in the school clinic for long. Although Wu Kun refused, Xiao Shuihan still dragged him to the cafeteria and ordered him dinner without saying a word.
Xiao Shuihan suffered from heatstroke and didn't order dinner separately. He took the mung bean soup that Wu Kun had specially bought for him and drank it slowly, his actions revealing the refined manners of a scion of a famous family.
Although he was awake, his head was still a little dizzy from the heatstroke. Xiao Shuihan lowered his eyes and scooped out some mung bean soup from the takeout box, his gaze wandering and appearing absent-minded.
He glanced up unintentionally and found Wu Kun staring at him with an ambiguous look.
Xiao Shuihan paused in his porridge-drinking motion, raising an eyebrow: "You're straight, aren't you?"
Wu Kun smiled cryptically, his eyes narrowing: "Brother, I can be gay for you."
He didn't hold back his voice, and with that affected tone, everyone around them looked at the two of them with unreadable expressions.
Xiao Shuihan wasn't as shrewd as him. She raised her hand to cover her face and said with disdain, "Get to the point, don't be so abstract."
Wu Kun composed himself, staring intently at him. After a moment, he uttered a sentence:
"Brother Xiao, you didn't faint on purpose, did you?"
Xiao Shuihan pursed her pale lips and asked seriously, "Do I look like it?"
Wu Kun nodded; it was both similar and dissimilar.
Xiao Shuihan was somewhat puzzled, but said frankly, "Just say what you have to say."
Wu Kun looked at him, took a light breath, and asked, "Brother Xiao, do you have feelings for Senior Luo?"
Xiao Shuihan was taken aback by his words: "Why do you say that?"
“Brother Xiao, you’re not faking it, are you? You really are faking it, and you’re faking it too well.” He gritted his teeth: “You carried Senior Luo all the way, and when we got to the school clinic, the school doctor and I had to pry your hands apart.”
"Luckily, there weren't many people on the way to the school clinic. If someone had taken a picture, you and Senior Luo would have ended up on the campus confession wall."
"Huh?" Xiao Shuihan exclaimed in surprise.
This seemed a bit like a dream to him. He was extremely well-mannered and had been taught since childhood to shake hands with a lady using only half his hand.
His mother died early, and he had never been in a relationship. Over the years, the closest he had ever been to a woman was shaking hands; he had never hugged someone and let go of them.
"I didn't take any photos, but I'm not lying to you. You can definitely see it if you check the campus surveillance footage."
Xiao Shuihan felt a shock to her soul and suddenly realized, "I was carrying Senior Luo, how did you manage to carry me to the school clinic?"
Wu Kun's eyes suddenly turned a little strange: "Brother Xiao, your choice of words is quite accurate."
"Senior Luo and I carried you there. You were clinging tightly to Senior Luo's waist and pressing your face against her body. Senior Luo held your upper body while I supported your lower body and carried you into the school clinic."
"The school doctor was almost dumbfounded when he saw this position; he thought someone had died..."
Xiao Shuihan couldn't hear what Wu Kun said next.
His mind was filled with images of him holding Luo Yilan tightly, and Wu Kun and Luo Yilan carrying him into the school clinic like a corpse.
No wonder he noticed Luo's face was a little red and her clothes were wrinkled when he woke up; he carried her the whole way, refusing to let go...
He suddenly wanted his roommate to get a guaranteed admission to graduate school...
"Hehe, Brother Xiao, don't worry, I will definitely not tell anyone, but as for Senior Luo... it's up to you to decide about your future girlfriend."
Wu Kun's slightly teasing chuckle brought Xiao Shuihan back to her senses.
"Don't talk nonsense. What girlfriend? I'll let it go, but if word gets out, Senior Luo's reputation will be completely ruined."
He said these words without thinking, without the slightest hint of pretense, which surprised Wu Kun on the other end.
When he realized what was happening, his eyes held a complex expression, and he exclaimed with admiration, "Brother Xiao, your manners are truly remarkable!"
"His first reaction was to care about the girl's innocence. So innocent. No wonder Senior Luo was moved."
Xiao Shuihan panicked and tried to cover his mouth: "I told you not to talk nonsense, what is Senior Luo interested in?"
Wu Kun realized he had made a sound, covered his mouth, and cautiously glanced around to make sure no one was paying attention to them. Then he lowered his voice and said:
"Brother Xiao, you've never been in a relationship, have you?"
Xiao Shuihan honestly shook his head.
Wu Kun looked as if he had expected me to say, "Brother Xiao, although you've never been in a relationship, just think about it, the aloof senior who was a campus beauty, the ice queen who never interacted with the opposite sex for a whole year."
"He usually ignores us in the classroom, but he only answers your questions."
"You carried me all the way today. I didn't push you away, I didn't call you a pervert, I took you to the school clinic, and I even waited until you woke up before leaving."
"What else could this be but liking? Even if it doesn't quite qualify as liking, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say I'm smitten!"
Xiao Shuihan was stunned by his words, but still subconsciously retorted: "We've only met a few times, and you're already smitten?"
Wu Kun looked at Xiao Shuihan with a face full of disappointment and was about to speak out, but Xiao Shuihan glared at him and made him lower his voice again:
"My dear Xiao, love at first sight, with your level of education, you must have heard of that phrase before, right?"
