After their wedding anniversary, Chu Liyue took Xiao Wujie away from Lingnan and returned to the capital.
Chu Liyue took over as the head of the Chu family, and in principle, she should live in the old Chu family manor. However, compared to the old Chu family manor, she and Xiao Wujie still preferred to live in the manor.
Yunmo, Chuwan, Lu Zhufeng, Ai Ruoman, and Lin Qingyi all live here permanently. Ye Jinyu visits from time to time, and Xiao Shuihan and Luo Yilan often come here to see Xiao Wujie.
Therefore, when she was busy, Chu Liyue would stay at the old house, and whenever she had free time, she would take Xiao Wujie back to the manor.
Upon returning to the capital, Chu Liyue went straight to the manor and didn't visit the old house for three consecutive days.
This gave Chu Nanfeng, Leng Ruxue, Chu Mingcheng, and Bai Jingxuan, who lived in the old house, a different feeling.
The four of them quickly drove to the manor, and upon entering, they saw Xiao Wujie, Lu Zhufeng, and Ai Ruoman sitting together playing cards.
Lin Qingyi went to Yun Shen Temple to hang a peace plaque.
Chu went on a business trip last night, and Yunmo accompanied her. She won't be back until tonight.
Chu Liyue didn't like these card and board games.
Since we're one player short for mahjong, we can only play three-player Dou Dizhu (a card game).
Lu Zhufeng sat on the sofa with his legs crossed like an old man. Washed fruit was laid out on the coffee table. Ai Ruoman held a card in one hand and occasionally picked up a grape or a few peeled orange segments and put them into his mouth.
Lu Zhufeng didn't hesitate to give Ai Ruoman a kiss on the cheek, making her blush. "Young Master Xiao is still here!"
Lu Zhufeng didn't take it to heart, fiddling with the cards in his hand. "He's not an outsider."
"Besides, when he's being reckless, does he ever care about other people's lives?"
As he spoke, he threw down two pairs of threes, cursing, "Damn it, what terrible luck!"
Xiao Wujie calmly tossed out a pair of ten, "My luck is so-so, there are no smaller ones left."
Leng Ruxue, who loved to join in the fun, quickly sat on the armrest of the sofa, shouting, "Take me with you next round! Take me with you next round!"
She rushed ahead, and Xiao Wujie immediately saw Chu Mingcheng and the other two following behind. He was about to get up when Bai Jingxuan raised her hand and pressed him down.
"No need to get up, baby."
She sat gracefully to Xiao Wujie's left, her gaze sweeping around, not finding Chu Liyue, and asked:
"Baby, where is Liyue?"
Xiao Wujie replied with a clear and captivating voice, "Sister went to prepare the medicine for me."
As soon as she finished speaking, Bai Jingxuan, Chu Mingcheng, and Chu Nanfeng all tensed up instantly.
In their family, Chu Liyue held the highest position, and Xiao Wujie's every move could affect Chu Liyue's entire heart.
When Xiao Wujie is sick, Chu Liyue is usually not in a good mood.
Receiving a wink from Chu Nanfeng, Bai Jingxuan quickly asked, "Baby, are you feeling unwell again?"
Xiao Wujie's voice was a little nasal and his tone was weak: "It's just that my cold hasn't gotten better."
He had caught a cold, and that night he wore such thin, see-through clothes to seduce Chu Liyue, which aggravated his symptoms, and he hadn't recovered for a long time.
As Bai Jingxuan and the others were filled with unease, elegant footsteps approached. Chu Liyue, carrying a steaming cup of cold medicine, sat down next to Xiao Wujie, draped her slender arm over his shoulder, and lightly stroked his collar with her fingertips before giving him a soft kiss on the ear.
"Take a break before playing again, drink your medicine first."
Soft, warm lips touched the tip of his ear, making Xiao Wujie feel a little ticklish. He rubbed his cheek against her chest.
"Sister, I'm not finished playing yet..."
Before he could finish speaking, Leng Ruxue snatched the cards from his hand: "I'll take them, I'll take them. You go whisper to the boss."
Xiao Wujie nestled into Chu Liyue's arms as usual, his gaze lingering on her with a slight tension.
After being separated for a month, and with him recently falling ill, his sister has been spoiling him extra, dressing him in increasingly sexy clothes.
Today she's wearing a casual leather suit jacket, with sexy black over-the-knee stockings covering her slender legs, exuding a cool, alluring, and regal aura.
His snow-white Adam's apple bobbed slightly, and Xiao Wujie said in a low, hoarse voice, "Sister, my hands are cold..."
How could Chu Liyue not know his little thoughts? She took his hand and placed it on her lap, then crossed her legs, wrapping his slightly cool hand between them, satisfying him.
The smooth, soft touch made Xiao Wujie's body and mind burn. He blushed and snuggled into her arms, looking down at her hand to take a small sip of the scalding hot cold medicine.
The others were already full from the dog food (a metaphor for excessive displays of affection), and seeing that Chu Liyue hadn't even glanced at them, Chu Mingcheng, Bai Jingxuan, and Chu Nanfeng exchanged glances. Finally, Bai Jingxuan cautiously asked:
"Liyue, why did you come back... without even visiting the old house?"
Chu Liyue, seemingly oblivious, blew on the cold medicine before offering it to Xiao Wujie's lips again, whispering gently, "Slow down, it's hot."
Xiao Wujie drank the cold medicine in her hand until it was empty. She lowered her head and kissed Xiao Wujie's thin lips, which were still stained with the medicine, twice before slowly turning her gaze to Bai Jingxuan and the others.
She sat with an air of nobility, her legs crossed, and one arm around Xiao Wujie's waist, creating a powerful and imposing presence.
"You didn't bring the child?"
Her tone was indifferent, which made Chu Nanfeng's eye twitch slightly.
He and Leng Ruxue had a son named Chu Yifei, whose personality was just like Leng Ruxue's, and he was very mischievous.
Although he is only one year old, he has already turned the house upside down. It is the first time that Chu Nanfeng has had a son, the first time that Chu Mingcheng and Bai Jingxuan have held a grandson, and even his great-grandfather Chu Yuntian dotes on the little brat.
This only exacerbated Chu Yifei's tantrum; he threw things, screamed, and cried, and no one could control him.
Only Chu Liyue. Chu Yifei's bones would go weak at the sight of his aunt. Even if he threw a tantrum and screamed at a high decibel, he would instantly fall silent with just one look from Chu Liyue.
Chu Liyue preferred quiet, so much so that Chu Yifei figured out a pattern: when Chu Liyue was away, he would indulge himself, but as soon as Chu Liyue returned, he would behave like a dog.
