With a muffled crack, the ice beneath Xiao Wujie's feet shattered instantly.
Lu Zhufeng, who was standing next to him, immediately reacted. He picked up Xiao Wujie with one hand, grabbed two supply packs with the other, and quickly retreated to the ice surface that had not broken.
As soon as I put Xiao Wujie down, I felt a sway under my feet.
Immediately afterwards, a series of deafening roars erupted, and the ice in the distance began to crack, with huge blocks of ice slowly moving, causing the entire canyon to tremble.
Lu Zhufeng reached out to support Xiao Wujie, whose face was pale and body was swaying. His gaze swept across the shaking canyon, and he spoke with difficulty:
"I have a bad feeling; the ice walls on both sides are probably going to collapse..."
Before he finished speaking, with a "crack," a huge block of ice rolled down from the top of the canyon.
It magnified in his wide-open pupils, and crashed to the ground with a deafening roar.
At the same time, ice blocks of varying sizes began to fall from the ice wall, hitting the ground and some even heading towards his location.
Upon seeing this, Lu Zhufeng's eyes widened suddenly, and he grabbed Xiao Wujie's body and quickly moved to dodge.
While dodging, he quickly observed the situation. As more and more ice blocks fell to the ground, the ice beneath his feet began to crack with numerous fine fissures, threatening to collapse on a large scale at any moment.
Holding him, Xiao Wujie's sharp gaze swept over the surroundings, and he spoke in a cold voice:
"Run forward!"
His voice was cool and indifferent, carrying a reassuring calmness.
Looking ahead at the swirling snow and flying ice, Lu Zhufeng gritted his teeth, pushed off with his feet, and dodged the ice shards that kept hitting them as he rushed forward.
As more and more ice blocks fell to the ground, the ice beneath their feet began to crumble under their weight.
Lu Zhufeng could only jump back and forth on the broken ice surface, unable to move forward much at all.
"No, we can't get out!"
While struggling to avoid the falling ice, he couldn't help but let out a low growl.
Keep running!
Xiao Wujie spoke coldly, his gaze sharp and penetrating like that of an eagle, fixed intently on the front.
Passing through the thick snow fog, he could clearly see that there was no road ahead, but rather a huge ice sheet and frigid seawater.
But further ahead, a vast expanse of ice, stretching as far as the eye can see, is being swept towards us by the current.
He's waiting!
Waiting for the perfect opportunity!
More and more ice blocks crashed onto the ice surface, causing it to crack more and more severely.
At first, there was still a considerable area of ice left, but gradually it became difficult to even find a place to stand.
He leaped swiftly onto a patch of ice where he could barely stand, and struggled to regain his balance.
Ice shards rained down on his head, and he tried to dodge the larger ones, but for the smaller ones he couldn't avoid in time, he had to catch them with his body to make sure that Xiao Wujie, whom he was holding, wouldn't be hit.
"Damn! That hurts like hell!"
A not-too-small shard of ice hit his shoulder, causing a sharp, throbbing pain, and he couldn't help but cry out.
Have you thought of a solution?
If we don't come up with something soon, we're really doomed!
Xiao Wujie kept his gaze fixed ahead and spoke softly:
"Soon..."
Upon hearing this, Lu Zhufeng couldn't help but grit his teeth.
Oh shit!
What he hates most in his life is "soon" and "immediately".
Who knows how fast "soon" is, or how long "immediately" is?
Just as he was about to complain, he suddenly felt a huge shadow loom over his head.
Suddenly, they looked up and saw a huge block of ice crashing down on their heads.
He couldn't help but close his eyes.
That's it!
I've never even had a girlfriend...
A flash of white light seemed to pass before my eyes, followed by a chilling, bone-deep cold.
Why hasn't it landed yet?
Did I ascend to heaven instantly? I can't even feel the pain anymore?
He frowned slightly, feeling the weight on his arm and the icy coldness in his arms, and immediately opened his eyes.
At this moment, Xiao Wujie, whom he was holding, was emanating a chilling aura, his face was pale, and he was constantly exhaling white mist carrying a chill.
Looking up suddenly, all I could see was a thick layer of icy fog, with huge ice spikes protruding from it.
Time seemed to stand still, and everything was frozen in ice.
Everything around him was covered by a thick layer of ice, from which cold air constantly rose. His shocked face and the surrounding scenery were reflected in the mirror-like world.
He couldn't help but open his mouth, his blank gaze falling on Xiao Wujie, who was emanating a chill from his body, in his arms.
Is this even human?
“I call this move ‘Ice Age’…”
Xiao Wujie, panting slightly, blew a breath of cold air directly onto his face, leaving behind specks of ice crystals and dispelling his dazed expression.
"We're still alive! We're still alive!"
A genuine smile unconsciously spread across his face, his eyes shining brightly.
"Let's move forward!"
Xiao Wujie, panting heavily, reminded him in a slightly weak voice.
He had forcibly frozen and connected the ice beneath his feet using his supernatural powers. Although the falling ice shards above his head had also been frozen, his safety could not be guaranteed.
Lu Zhufeng then realized what was happening, and quickly grabbed him, dodging the protruding ice spikes, and ran forward.
It took nearly five minutes to run out of the frozen forest that Xiao Wujie had created.
He couldn't help but turn back and look a few more times, his eyes filled with lingering shock.
What a pathetic weakling!
He only came to his senses after hearing Xiao Wujie cough twice, and hurriedly put the supply pack down as a stool and placed him on it.
