When Xiao Wujie opened his eyes again, two days had passed.
The first thing he saw was Chu Liyue's stunningly beautiful face. He instinctively wanted to snuggle into her arms, but the sharp pain in his chest made him gasp, and his still somewhat hazy consciousness instantly cleared.
Dressed in an elegant black gown, Chu Liyue quickly pressed down on his shoulder to help him lie down.
"Be good, don't move around, you have needles stuck in your body."
While gently coaxing him, she used a tissue to wipe the cold sweat from his forehead.
Lowering his head slightly, Xiao Wujie noticed that his clothes were open, revealing a row of silver needles standing upright on his well-defined, pale chest.

"Awake? How are you feeling?"

"It would be better without these needles."
Xiao Wujie answered in a very serious manner.
Lin Qingyi chuckled upon hearing this and gave him a light glare.
"Bear with it, it will hurt a little."
Feeling a tingling, yet excruciating pain throughout his body, Xiao Wujie gritted his teeth slightly, but his gaze remained fixed on Lin Qingyi, who was removing the needles from his body.
Under the light, her gaze was focused, and her delicate features were softened by the gentle contours of her face.
"Sister Qingyi, I froze that person into an ice sculpture and left him in the Frozen Ghost Realm."
His eyes flickered slightly, and Xiao Wujie spoke softly.
Lin Qingyi's slender fingers, which were holding the end of the silver needle, trembled suddenly. She lowered her head, making it impossible to see her expression.
"Thanks."
After a long while, a hoarse voice escaped from her throat, carrying a heart-wrenching bitterness.
After removing the needle, her eyes shimmered with tears as she gave Xiao Wujie a gentle smile.

Watching her departing figure, Xiao Wujie's gaze flickered slightly before he finally lowered his eyes.
As soon as Lin Qingyi closed the door of the rest cabin, she was met with Chu Liyue's cold and indifferent gaze.

Turning her head slightly, revealing half of her perfect profile, Chu Liyue's voice was unusually gentle.
“Miss Chu, you’re too kind. He has been a great benefactor to me, and this is what I should do.”
With her head slightly lowered, Lin Qingyi's voice remained gentle and melodious.
"Is it just gratitude, nothing more?"
Chu Liyue suddenly raised an eyebrow slightly.
"Miss Chu, please don't misunderstand..."
Upon hearing this, Lin Qingyi suddenly looked up at Chu Liyue, but before she could finish speaking, Chu Liyue chuckled and raised her hand to interrupt her.
"Can you honestly tell me that you have no other feelings for him?"

Chu Liyue watched her departing figure silently for a long time.
Inside the rest cabin, Xiao Wujie leaned against the headboard, holding a handkerchief in his hand, coughing lightly in discomfort.
Because of chest tightness and shortness of breath, he broke out in a cold sweat, and his brows were full of exhaustion. When he saw Chu Liyue walk in, his originally dim eyes brightened up a lot.
