Chapter 153 I Have Amnesia

When Shan Hongxing heard that demons had invaded the mountain, the first image that came to his mind was the old demon who had caused him to suffer a defeat. He picked up his sword and went out first.

When Lu Feiyu and Lan Yezhou went out, Huo Yongfei was sitting in the courtyard drinking tea. "Don't go and join in the fun. I can't persuade your master, but you two should listen to what I say!"

"Sect Master, as your disciple, there is no reason for me to back down!" Lu Feiyu retorted defiantly.

"Senior sister." Lan Yezhou blocked her way. "Even if someone is to go, it should be me. Senior sister's swordsmanship still needs more practice."

"You're itching for a beating, aren't you!" Lu Feiyu thought to herself that she had praised this junior brother during the day, but he was already taking advantage of her kindness at night.

"Perfect timing, senior sister, let's have a spar!"

As he spoke, Lan Yezhou drew his sword.

Seeing his two disciples start arguing, Huo Yongfei had no intention of staying any longer. He opened the door and quietly withdrew.

Outside, things must be in chaos.

It would be difficult to even save Wen Jingge's disciples; if these two were to leave, the future of Xuan Yun Sect would likely be ruined.

"Senior sister, do you want to go take a look?" As soon as she caught sight of the departing figure, Lan Yezhou immediately withdrew her sword intent.

"I don't want to!" Lu Feiyu glared at him, annoyed. "You wouldn't go earlier, but now you insist on sneaking off. You go if you want! I can't do this!"

"Then I'll go by myself?"

"Go ahead, go ahead! You might as well die out there," Lu Feiyu said irritably.

"Don't go out." Lan Yezhou had just pushed open the door when he heard a voice.

He stared at the dark figure by the door. "Who are you? You scared me to death!"

"Come with me!" The owner of the voice did not allow him to object.

"Who are you! Why should I go with you?" Lan Yezhou followed him reluctantly. "Can you take off your cloak? Wearing all black at night, are you afraid people won't recognize you? This is Qinghe Mountain, we have plenty of ways to deal with people like you..."

"Shut up!" the man suddenly turned around.

Lan Yezhou bumped into his back without warning: "A mouth is meant to be used to speak."

"Wen Jingge is back," the man said.

“I know, otherwise I would have gone with you.”

The man slowly turned around, letting out a faint sigh, seemingly displeased: "You don't recognize me?"

"Whether we recognize each other or not won't stop us from talking, right?"

"...It won't delay anything."

"Oh, if there's nothing else, I'll be going now. I need to go check on the situation at the mountain gate."

"You don't seem surprised at all to see me?" The man grabbed his collar, preventing him from leaving.

“Some things have changed.” Lan Yezhou looked at the black figure, then suddenly rushed forward and gave him a hug. “I know you are a demon, and I know you came back probably with hatred in your heart, but since things have changed, we should at least see if it’s good or bad before we take action, shouldn’t we?”

"You guessed it?" The man smiled with relief, but also seemed at a loss, as if he hadn't expected this outcome.

"Hmm." Lan Yezhou put her arm around the man's shoulder, smiled slightly, and touched his head. "Are you still as short as me?"

"..." The shadowy figure took a deep breath, as if enduring something, "Take good care of Senior Sister."

"Don't worry!" Lan Yezhou waved to him, bidding farewell to his departing figure, and then returned to the courtyard with a heavy heart.

"How will you get back?"

"Senior Sister." Lan Yezhou sat in the courtyard, holding his sword. Ever since he saw that dark figure, he had been sullen and unhappy.

Lu Feiyu was boiling water when Huo Yongfei ran away, leaving the tea on the table uneaten. Lu Feiyu felt it was a pity, and since she had nothing else to do, she had no choice but to continue boiling tea.

"Didn't you go to join the fun? Why are you back already? How's it going over there?"

"I didn't go." Lan Yezhou forced a smile at her, tilted his head and looked at her for a while, which finally made Lu Feiyu feel uneasy, so she gave him a flick on the forehead.

"Why are you looking at me like that? Are you possessed?"

"Senior sister, why do you always put on airs like Master in front of others? You're still just a child!"

"I'm older than you, so what kind of child am I?"

"Junior Brother Yuan is nearly seventy years old now, but isn't he still a child in Uncle Wen's eyes?"

“That’s them, not us.” Lu Feiyu glared at him. “You’ve been thinking nonsense all night. If you’re not sleepy, go practice your skills.”

"Senior sister, one last question." He straightened up and gestured with his fingers, "Does senior sister like junior brother Qiao Yu?"

Lu Feiyu's hand holding the purple clay teapot trembled, spilling the scalding tea. Before Lan Yezhou could react, she slashed down with her sword. A large patch of Lan Yezhou's hand was already burned red. He didn't have time to dodge and was blasted away by the fifth-grade sword energy she had condensed.

"Senior Sister..." Lan Yezhou coughed twice, propped himself up from the wood chips on the ground, and sat up. "Congratulations, Senior Sister, on breaking through your cultivation level."

"Lan Yezhou!" Lu Feiyu was truly enraged this time, calling his name in a strong, resonant voice, "What exactly have you been hiding from me?!"

"Senior sister, my hand hurts." Lan Yezhou pitifully stretched out her hand. "Senior sister's sword energy isn't very stable, do you need help?"

"Go take care of your hands." Lu Feiyu glared at him, ignored his hands, and went back to her room with her sword.

Lan Yezhou watched the door close before saying to the corner of the wall in the distance, "Don't worry! She won't leave this courtyard tonight. If she doesn't go out, everything will be fine."

The shadow slowly faded away, and this time, it disappeared completely.

Meanwhile, in a courtyard on the front mountain, Wen Jingge was sitting on her hearse, legs crossed, cracking peanuts. "Didn't they say that after fasting you can stop eating? How come there's so much food on your mountain!"

"Eat it or not, it's up to you!" Qu Xiu snorted coldly, hugged his knees, and casually found a chair to sit down. "I thought you would come with Shan Hongxing."

"Didn't run into him."

He said you're dead.

"He's a dead person."

"Hmm?" Qu Xiu frowned. "Haven't you two been getting along peacefully all these years? Why are you fighting now?"

"Didn't you want to fight me just now?"

"I can't beat you! I was forced by circumstances just now. Who knew you'd suddenly change your mind and start caring about my feelings?"

Qu Xiu gave a dejected snort, tossing a peanut into the air to catch it with his head. His eyes glanced at the two coffins on the cart. "The Demon Lord hasn't come out yet, has he? One of these coffins is for you. Where's the other one?"

"You didn't see this person lying in there?" Wen Jingge scoffed, strongly suspecting he was blind.

"Where is anyone?" Qu Xiu tapped the crystal coffin, looking thoughtfully at the black iron coffin. "This coffin looks like the one your master took away from Pingchuan Valley back then? And where did this crystal coffin come from?"

"Pingchuan Valley?" Wen Jingge also stepped forward. She had always thought the coffin belonged to the Xuanyun Sect: "You mean Pingchuan Valley in your Qinghe Mountain?"

"That's right! This coffin is a cursed coffin, don't you remember? We fought all the way there, if it weren't for..."

"I have amnesia."
