Chapter 51 Writing

Chapter 51 Writing

"Asshole! You actually want to hand over the national treasure to a strange woman of unknown origin!" A middle-aged man with two mustaches was furious in the office building: "Is he crazy for farming? He doesn't know what is important? Outside? Even if there is a rain of missiles outside, you have to guard that thing well. What's more, they are just some ignorant low-class people. If you cut a few of them, they will only grow more!"

He panted a few times, his eyes were red, it seemed that the parade outside had made him lose his usual calmness, and some private names came out of his mouth. The men in front of him quickly lowered their heads and bent their waists more, pretending that they had never heard such derogatory words.

The person in charge of liaison came forward and told him something. The man frowned impatiently, with a gloomy look in his eyes. "Even if it's a bait, you can't use the real thing. If it's lost, can he bear the responsibility?" His tone softened, and he asked his subordinates to continue using the previous public relations strategy to deal with the public. Suddenly, an ordinary-looking man broke in.

"Who are you? Don't you know you can't come in without an appointment?" someone asked. But the man didn't answer at all. He just pulled out a gun and fired five shots at the middle-aged man face to face. The official opened his mouth, blood flowed from it, and he couldn't utter a word.

The rest of the people were frightened and fled in all directions. The man did not chase after him, but left quietly and quickly. The people outside were also shocked by this. They didn't even notice when this person arrived and took their immediate superior's life so easily.

Zhongtian Shantouhuo received the news on the helicopter. His face was calm. He opened the numerous blockades and took out the things and placed them on his right hand side. He nodded softly, gave a few more instructions, and then hung up the phone.

Dazai Osamu sat aside with his hands folded. He looked at the sky outside and smiled, saying, "I didn't know that people like you would play such a trick."

Taneda Santohuo shook his head: "That's because you haven't seen the battlefield yet. Now, it's a war. She did a great job. The ropes that were usually tied around our necks can be loosened. What's more, she is just a yes-man sent by the cabinet, and she even hired a superpower to protect herself..." He sneered: "If she did a good job, it would be fine, but she actually let a city blow up, so she is to blame for her own death."

The other officials in this city also need someone to take over. So he barely had to put in any effort.

Taneda Santouko sighed: "Some things, before they happen, you think they are impossible, but when someone really does it, you will be amazed that this world can actually happen like this."

There are no restrictions in this world. If there are restrictions, it is only because they are imposed by your heart, and those shackles are also imposed by others.

"I always feel that," Dazai Osamu propped up his head. He didn't look like he was going to a fight. He said lazily, "I'm afraid this won't go as we expected." He said softly, "I saw her speech. A person like her wouldn't even have thought of a way out."

Edogawa Ranpo on the side turned his head and looked over. There was an unusual indifference in his expression. He stared at him and said, "What does that have to do with us? We just have to ensure the peace of Yokohama. The reason why we don't think about the future is that if we can't even get through the current disaster, we will have no future." He glanced at the location of the safe, which was why he did not use a fake "book" page as bait.

"Hahaha," Dazai laughed, clapping his hands and saying, "That's it! We are the poor guys who are trapped between two sides. We can't overturn everything, but we want to protect something, so we end up like this. Just like this Taneda officer, his future career will be difficult." He laughed until tears came out, "Only that woman is truly fearless. She has no fear of life or death. What do you expect to stop her?"

Others saw her kindness and scheming, but I alone saw her blasphemy and her merciless irony towards fate.

Such people have abilities, means, and great wisdom, and will succeed in whatever they do. But even with such a person, the family at that time still wanted to use her for marriage... What kind of joke is this? I'm so happy! When he thought of some of the records in the materials he found, Dazai Osamu felt deep joy at the stupidity of some human beings.

So he asked again: "Have you thought about it? If we ambush her like this, it would be great if we succeed, but if we fail, how are we going to deal with her anger?"

There is a demonic quality about her!

Time goes back to the present. After Edogawa Ranpo reported the string of numbers, Isabel did not open it immediately. She first listened carefully to the sound inside, then took out something from her arms and tore it open, and finally opened it.

The box was lined with red velvet and contained an ordinary-looking piece of paper. There were some strange words written on one side, and the rest was blank. There didn't seem to be anything unusual.

Everyone looked at her nervously, and the rumbling sounds of battle on the other side could not attract their attention. Isabel didn't question it at first, she picked it up. They could tell nothing from the expression on her face.

In the silence, Edogawa Ranpo suddenly asked: "Do you know what the restrictions are for writing on it?"

Isabel tilted her head, glanced at the text, and said with a smile, "It has to be logically consistent and the content can make sense?"

Dazai Osamu's eyes moved. He didn't know whether she had known it for a long time or had just observed it now. If it was the former, this person probably had a big secret.

The wind blew over the platform, and Ranpo asked again: "Can you tell us now, besides the things about Leibo Street, what else are you going to write on it?"

Isabel was not in a hurry at all, she had always been pursuing speed, but when she finally got the things, she seemed to have infinite patience. No matter how angry these people were, she said in a good mood: "Either you leave, or wait a little longer."

Wait a minute, waiting for what? Who else is coming? This time, even Ranpo had no clue.

Isabel stood on the edge of the platform, the wind blowing her clothes wildly. The page of the "book" was between her fingers, as if it would fly out of her hands at any moment, then float away in the air and disappear.

No one came and nothing happened. But the fighting noise on the other side gradually became quieter. People are anxious and some can't wait any longer.

"Okay." She said suddenly. Dazai Osamu and Edogawa Ranpo had been observing and had not noticed anything unusual.

"By the way," she seemed to have completely forgotten the unpleasantness just now. She turned her head and said to them playfully, "Did you bring a pen? I made a lot of preparations before leaving, but I forgot to bring a pen. There have been too many things going on recently, and I was so busy that I really deserved to be beaten."

Uh, Dazai Osamu and Edogawa Ranpo didn't know what to say. Zhongtian Shantouhuo took a deep breath, then he stood up and said calmly, "I brought it."

After saying that, he walked towards that direction step by step. The people behind him were staring at his back and saw that his footsteps weighed a thousand pounds. He walked up to her and looked at this exotic woman. There was a smile in her eyes. She seemed to be saying something, yet it seemed as if she was saying nothing.

He could only pull out a pen from his breast pocket. Then he lowered his head, bent slightly, held the pen in both hands and presented it.

Something in his subordinates' hearts finally broke. They watched this scene, feeling as if there was a foreign object blocking their eyes and throats. The sun finally showed its face and watched all of this in silence.

After a long while, Isabel took the pen. She smiled and said, "Why are you so polite?"

Taneda Santoku stood up straight. He said, "No, you did this for the sake of our Yokohama Leibo Street. What's a little respectful?"

Isabel shook her head and said nothing more, and the anger over farming subsided.

Isabel took up her pen. She was writing something, but at a certain moment, a stronger wind suddenly arose, invisible and intangible, passing by everyone. Isabel's long hair was held up, and she stared calmly at the paper in front of her. It stood in front of her without the need for a support. A hazy colorful light spread from it to Isabel's body. She seemed to have entered a special space, ignoring everything in the outside world and only focusing on the writing in front of her.

Two extremely fast figures landed on the platform. Nakahara Chuuya stared at the scene closely. His hat was missing and his clothes were torn in several places. The other old man was full of anger. He stared at that place intently, but the knife in his hand did not move forward.

Isabel's whole body also floated up. She seemed to become one with the pages of the book in front of her, and the pen in her hand kept writing. Some people wanted to see what was written on it, but as soon as they took a step forward, they were alerted by the gravity master. Some who wanted to peek had their eyes wide open and could not see anything.

But soon they noticed that something was changing. A greater chaos was born with it as the center!

"Damn it," an important person shouted, "We can't monitor anything at all!" This was not what they had thought of in advance. Regardless of failure or success, they would prepare one or two people to monitor the writer on the side, and once they found that there was something wrong with the writing, they would immediately push him/her away.

And this never happened during previous trials.

Edogawa Ranpo remained silent. Dazai Osamu squeezed next to him and said, "Tell me, what did you see?"

Edogawa Ranpo shook his head: "I didn't foresee this."

"So what did you foresee?" Dazai Osamu continued to ask.

"Her umbrella was given to her by someone else." Ranpo suddenly said something unrelated. Taneda Santouki beside him was confused. "She may not have come for herself." His eyes were extremely deep. "She doesn't need the 'Wish-Seeking Device'. She probably took the pages of the 'Book' for someone else."

After saying this, they suddenly had an idea and looked in the same direction.
