102

This time I was faster than ever before, but even so, I still felt it was a bit slow. I often urged Feng Su to hurry up, feeling quite excited that I would be free after finishing this exam.

"Feng Su, quickly attack its abdomen!" I commanded Feng Su as I unleashed my magic.

With the combined efforts of Feng Su and me, it couldn't hold on for long before collapsing and disappearing.

"Phew~ It's finally over. Feng Su, do you think this is the last one?" I asked Feng Su, shaking my arm.

Feng Su took out the map from her bosom. "That's right, Master, it's over."

"Great!" I jumped up happily, humming a cheerful tune.

"Then let's go back, Feng Su."

"Okay." After saying that, Feng Su transformed into a phoenix and carried me back.

"Master, it's still early. Shall we go for a stroll? It's rare to have some free time."

"No, let's go back early today and come out another day." I rejected Feng Su's suggestion without even thinking. All I wanted to do was go back and wait for You, and then lie down with You and do nothing.

"Owner."

"What's wrong?"

"I heard from people in the human world that 'another day' means the eighth day of the week, is that right?" Feng Su turned around and asked me.

I was stunned for a moment. Where did Feng Su learn this from...? She actually knows this! "No, that's just people in the mortal realm joking around."

"So that's how it is. I was wondering why they said there were eight days in a week when I checked. They were lying to me."

I gave an awkward laugh. "Feng Su, how about we go out for a stroll tomorrow?"

"good."

I sighed inwardly, knowing I couldn't go to the mortal realm tomorrow. Even the once innocent Feng Su had been corrupted there.

I don't know why, but the time it took to get back felt incredibly long. It felt like an eternity had passed before I finally saw our temporary resting place in the celestial realm in the distance.

Before Feng Su could even land, I jumped to the ground first, asking, "Has the Emperor You returned?"

"No."

I hung my head in disappointment. I thought I would be able to see You as soon as I got back. It seems I have to wait for him again. Fortunately, Feng Su is here, so the days of waiting won't be too boring.

"Feng Su."

"What's wrong, Master?"

"As the last phoenix, have you ever thought about propagating and strengthening your phoenix clan?"

"Huh?" Feng Su looked at me in surprise, rubbing her ears as if she had misheard.

"Why are you so surprised? Reproduction is a natural law."

Feng Su blushed and said softly, "Master, you know I'm the only phoenix left. Who am I supposed to breed with?"

I scratched my head. "It doesn't necessarily have to be with the Phoenix. How about other races?" I nudged Feng Su with my elbow and grinned mischievously.

"Then...then...the bloodline isn't pure."

"Wow, you're racist?"

"No!" Feng Su stood up abruptly, gesturing wildly. "We phoenixes can't have offspring with other species. We... we can only... have offspring with ourselves."

"Myself and myself?" I suddenly realized and stared at Feng Su, looking her up and down.

"Master, you..." Feng Su's eyes were so red they were practically bleeding when she looked at me. After glaring at me, she ran away as fast as she could.

I couldn't help but burst into laughter as I watched Feng Su move faster than the speed of light. Feng Su is so adorable. I never expected her to be so innocent after living for tens of thousands of years. She's simply my source of joy.
