You glanced at the rabbit in my arms and said, "If you can't bear to part with this rabbit, then we won't roast it. A roast chicken is enough for you."

I glanced at the rabbit in my arms and it nodded, then looked at the pitiful pheasant You was carrying. I couldn't help but feel sorry for him and wished that he could be reborn as a cute cat, dog, or rabbit in his next life.

Sigh, looks really do matter. Even among animals, there are always people who defend rabbits and dogs, but very few say you can't eat chicken.

As I was lost in thought, I kept stroking the little rabbit in my hands. The little white rabbit trembled uncontrollably in my arms, its two paws resting on my arm, too afraid to move. I bent down and stroked the little white rabbit's head to soothe the frightened rabbit.

"You, when did you learn this?" I squatted down next to You, tilting my head to watch her make roast chicken for me.

"I already knew how."

You knew it all along? You've never been a mortal before, and you rarely even eat rice, so how could you know how to roast chicken?

Why do you want to learn how to roast chicken?

You paused for a moment, her fair and radiant face slightly flushed in the light of the campfire. "I used to see mortals making roasted chicken when they were traveling. I watched them from afar once out of curiosity and then I learned how to do it."

Curiosity? Did I catch a glimpse from afar? I looked at You's slightly red earlobes, and I had a feeling that this wasn't the case.

The aroma of roast chicken slowly wafted out, and the golden-brown skin glistened with oil. I sniffed, and it smelled delicious.

"It smells so good!"

"Don't rush, it will be ready in a while." You took the roast chicken off the shelf and took a closer look.

"It looks ready." I stared longingly at the roast chicken in You's hands. This was the first time You had ever cooked something for me.

You rolled the roasted chicken in her hands back and forth. "The outside of the roasted chicken is done, but the inside isn't."

"Really?" I leaned closer. "Then can I try the outer layer?"

"Okay." You smiled indulgently, took the roast chicken off the fire, and placed it in front of me. "Be careful, it's hot."

"Hmm." I nodded and took one of the rabbits out of my hands to tear off a piece, but then I remembered that my hands had just touched the rabbit.

"What's wrong?"

"My hands are dirty." I pouted and spread my little hands out for You to see.

"Wait a minute." You glanced at my hand, put the roasted chicken back on the grill, took out a handkerchief from her bosom, and used her magic to wet the handkerchief and carefully wiped my outstretched hand.

I watched with a smile as You carefully wiped my hands. Her long, thick eyelashes were curled, her thin, peach-petal-shaped lips were slightly pursed, and her peach-blossom eyes were intently looking at my hands.

So handsome! The way Yu wiped my hands reminded me of a marriage proposal scene on TV, where the proposer holds the girl's hand like that.

"All done," You said, wiping her hands and putting away the handkerchief.

"Okay." I snapped out of my reverie, looked at my fair and delicate hands, and then turned my gaze to the roast chicken.

"Let's eat now." You picked up the roast chicken from the shelf and placed it in front of you.

"Okay." I nodded, tore off a piece of chicken with my hand, and put it in my mouth.

Well, the taste wasn't bad, but it was quite different from the delicious food I usually ate in Heaven. However, the feeling of happiness and joy it gave me was something that the chefs in Heaven couldn't replicate.

"Is it good?" You looked at me nervously, waiting for my comment.

"Yes." I nodded emphatically. "This is the best roast chicken I've ever had."

"That's a lie."
