After massaging my left arm, You switched to my right arm and, after a while, asked me, "Are you done?"
My arm, which was sore just now, felt much better after the massage. "It's all better now."
"Get up."
"Okay." I stood up and fell into You's arms with a "thump." "Ouch, my legs are numb too."
You sighed, picked me up, carried me into the cubicle, placed me on a chair, squatted down, and gently massaged my calves from my thighs with both hands. "Hey, you shouldn't sleep like that next time."
"I'm so bored waiting for you, and I don't have a phone to play with," I couldn't help but mutter to myself.
"What did you say?" You looked up and asked me.
"A cell phone, do you know what that is?"
You glanced at me and said, "It's just a mortal thing. If you like it, I'll get you some to play with."
"What's the point of getting it if it won't have a signal? It's no different from scrap metal," I muttered to myself.
"Um?"
"It's alright, it's alright."
"Are you feeling better?" You asked.
I stood up and tried it. "It's much better now."
"That's good, let's go." You stood up.
"But it still hurts a little." I leaned against You and blinked.
You looked down at me, thought for a few seconds, and then picked me up in one swift motion. "Are you satisfied now?"
"Yes, this is the most comfortable way." I smiled broadly, my eyes crinkling.
"You little lazybones." You shook her head and looked at me with doting eyes.
"You, are you all better now?"
"All cultivation is complete, and Houtu Niangniang's body can now be placed in the Lingyan Pavilion." You nodded, looking in the direction of Houtu Niangniang.
"That's good." I nodded.
"Alright, let's go." You said, leading me out of the secret room. As soon as we left, we encountered Luo and Feng Su, who were busy in Taihui Palace.
"Are you still busy?" I glanced at the sky outside; it was almost dusk.
“Yes.” Feng Su had a long face, looking like life was going through a tough time.
After bowing respectfully to me, Luo said, "It will be finished soon."
"By the way, Master, where did you come from?" Feng Su looked at me and You with a puzzled expression.
I looked up at You somewhat awkwardly, wondering if we could talk about the secret room we had just visited.
You held me steadily, her expression unchanged. She tilted her head and pointed with her chin to the room we had just come out of, saying, "There is a secret room in the east wing of the south hall of Taihui Palace. Go to the secret room and retrieve the body of the Goddess Houtu and place it in Lingyan Pavilion."
"The corpse of Lady Houtu?" Feng Su asked in surprise. "Is Lady Houtu dead?"
I nodded. "She's dead."
"How could she be dead? Who could have killed her?" Feng Su murmured, mouth agape. "She was the Mother Earth, the earliest Queen of the Earth."
"The Goddess Houtu has fallen into the cycle of reincarnation on her own." I thought for a moment and then tried to comfort her, "She will definitely come back."
"Is that so?" Feng Su regained her composure after hearing my words.
"The body of the Goddess Houtu must be properly preserved. I will visit her at Lingyan Pavilion tomorrow." You left with these words and carried me away.
"You, where are we going?"
“Of course I’m going back. Haven’t you always wanted me to rest in your palace?” You raised an eyebrow and asked.
"Okay. I'm so hungry. I'll ask Changxi to make some good food when we get back." I patted my stomach and said with a smile, then looked up at You's delicate chin, put my arms around You's neck, and swung my legs.
