I was sound asleep in the middle of the night when I was woken up by the wisteria.

"Wisteria, what are you doing?" I sat up in bed, rubbing my eyes, still annoyed, a nameless anger rising within me from the disturbance.

Wisteria's big, round eyes stared at me without saying a word.

I felt a little uneasy under Zi Teng's gaze, so I pulled the blanket tighter around myself. Was Zi Teng going to do the same thing as last time?

"Wisteria, what are you doing?" I asked, stammering as I pulled my blanket tighter around myself.

Zi Teng looked at me, blinked suddenly, and said, "My aunt told me to leave Guixu."

I burrowed my head deeper into the blanket and said in a muffled voice, "Isn't this great? You can go see Gu Yue now."

Wisteria didn't reply, she just looked at me.

I swallowed hard. "Why are you looking at me? This is what your aunt said, it has nothing to do with me."

"I already know."

When Zi Teng said this, her face remained calm and still, and even her words were completely undisturbed.

What do you know?

“I know what you and my aunt are going to do.”

"Your aunt told you? Hahaha, I..." I laughed awkwardly. Was Zi Teng going to cause me trouble again? Before I could finish explaining, Zi Teng continued.

"Don't get agitated, I won't do anything to you." Wisteria sighed and murmured, "My aunt has already explained everything to me."

"It's good that you've explained yourself." Seeing that Zifang hadn't acted so drastically this time, I felt a little relieved and advised, "Your aunt wants you to leave Guixu for your own good."

“I know.” Zi Teng nodded, her eyes lowered and her expression unapproachable. “My aunt was afraid that if things came to light, it would implicate me, so she wanted me to leave as soon as possible.”

I bit my lip, looking at the wisteria, unsure of what to say. After a long while, I finally spoke, "So, are you leaving?"

In the darkness, Zi Teng knelt before my bed. Moonlight shone on her hair. Zi Teng nodded gently and said, "I've decided to listen to my aunt and leave Guixu."

I stared blankly at the wisteria in front of me, having forgotten to speak.

Suddenly, Zi Teng raised her head, her big, round eyes seemingly glistening with tears, and stared at me intently, saying, "Your Majesty, if, if your secret is exposed, I beg Your Majesty, you must protect my aunt and not let the Eastern Emperor punish her."

I sighed and reached out to wipe away the tears from Zi Teng's eyes. Since Fei Yan had made things clear to Zi Teng, I didn't want to lie to her anymore. "Zi Teng, if things really come to light, even my life might be in danger. How can I protect your aunt? I can only..." I chuckled softly, "...it's all up to fate."

Zi Teng shook her head, "No, the Eastern Emperor will never hurt you. As long as you, Your Majesty, say a few kind words to the Eastern Emperor and beg him, he won't treat you badly."

I smiled and didn't explain further to Zifang. I nodded gently and said, "I promise you, if things are exposed, I will take all the blame and beg Donghuang to forgive your aunt."

I didn't argue with Zifeng. Donghuang wasn't as kind as she imagined. I still vividly remember Liu Lieyu's every time he got angry and hurt me. Every time, Liu Lieyu's methods were chilling, and even now, thinking about them makes me shudder.

If Liu Lieyu finds out that I conspired with Fei Yan to trick him into running away, I will suffer a terrible fate.

Zifang nodded with relief, then suddenly smiled, "Maybe this will work out, and my aunt will get what she wants."

I placed my hand on the soft top of Zi Teng's head and gently rubbed it. "Yes."
