"Emperor You, Emperor Xin," Chang Xi greeted us as soon as we stepped into the palace.

Feng Su sat down in her usual spot with practiced ease, and casually picked up some snacks from the table. "Master, where is the feast you mentioned?"

I glanced at the sky; it was still early, and dinner wouldn't be until about two hours later. "Dinner won't be ready for a while yet, so have some snacks first."

Feng Su said "Oh" and obediently sat down to eat her snacks. I glanced at Feng Su, who was not making a fuss today, and then at You, who was walking in front of me. I understood. You must be here. Feng Su had just provoked You, so she was so quiet.

"Hey, Feng Su, how come you and Wu Xian actually got into a fight?" Fan Li sneaked out of the courtyard and into the house at some point, quietly approaching Feng Su with a gossipy look on his face.

Feng Su glanced at You not far away, took a piece of pastry and pretended to eat it, then covered her mouth with her hand and whispered to Fan Li, "I'll tell you later."

I looked at Feng Su with the kind of pity one would give a fool. Silly phoenix, do you think you can shut your mouth and make no sound?

At this point, I touched my chin. If I'm not mistaken, You should be going to cultivate again.

Sure enough, You stepped over the stairs and went to the inner room alone.

You is really diligent, practicing every day without fail. Looking at me, it's no wonder the witch immortal said something about me.

"How about I go and cultivate with You? Once I become stronger, I can protect You." I was just about to take a step when Feng Su called out to me.

"Master, where are you going?" With Youyi gone, Feng Su's voice was much louder.

"I'm going to cultivate."

"Cultivation?" Feng Su stared wide-eyed in surprise. "Master, this is the first time in so long that you've offered to cultivate on your own initiative."

"What? You can't do it?" I said angrily, hands on my hips.

“Alright, alright.” Feng Su rolled her eyes and raised an eyebrow at me. “But Master’s cultivation is so boring, the three of us can play cards and Dou Dizhu.”

"Want to play Dou Dizhu?" I couldn't help but feel a little itchy when I heard this familiar card game.

"Can you do that?" I looked at Feng Su with some doubt. How could an old phoenix like Feng Su know mortal tricks?

"Master, have you forgotten? This was when you personally taught me back when you descended to the mortal realm."

"Oh, right." I then remembered that when the original owner was still an ordinary college student in the mortal world, he taught Feng Su how to play cards and all kinds of modern human entertainment activities little by little.

"Come on, Master?" Feng Su's bright and simple smile reminded me of the look my roommate gave me when I was on a diet and she urged me to have a bite.

"Emmm..." I hesitated a bit. After all, I had just said I was going to cultivate, and after what others said, it would be a bit unreasonable not to work hard. But I also really wanted to play.

"Master, come on, come on."

I swallowed hard. "Fan Li, do you know how?"

Actually, I suspect that Fan Li will probably do it, after all, Fan Li is the only deity in Heaven who has a mobile phone and VR games.

"Of course I can! I've played Dou Dizhu (a popular Chinese card game) on my phone countless times, and I always win big." Fan Li patted his chest confidently.

"That's a bot, isn't it!" I couldn't help but blurt out.

"What do you mean? Let's play a round and you'll see how good I am."

"Come, come, come."

And so, instead of diligently cultivating alongside You, I successfully infiltrated the "Nothing to Do" group and started playing cards.
