Just when I was about to give up, I seemed to hear a familiar phoenix cry in my ear. Was that Feng Su?

I excitedly followed the sound to find Feng Su's figure. "Feng Su, is that you?"

"Master. I'm here."

When I heard Feng Su call me "Master," I was so excited I almost cried. I was finally going to be saved! But what about You? Could You be trapped too?

It felt as if my thoughts were constantly being monitored by You. Just as I was thinking of You, her voice rang out, "Xin'er, stand there and don't move, I'm coming."

"Still not moving?" I hesitated as I watched the Vermilion Bird rush towards me, but I listened to You's words and stood still. The scorching heat wave from the puppet Vermilion Bird gradually approached me, and I instinctively closed my eyes. Strangely, the heat wave seemed to suddenly disappear.

When I opened my eyes again, standing in front of me were You, Feng Su, and the Flower Goddess.

Huh? Where's the Vermilion Bird? I turned my head to look, but the surroundings were empty; there wasn't a trace of the Vermilion Bird anywhere.

"You, did you just subdue the puppet Vermilion Bird?"

"It's not me; the puppet Vermilion Bird is just an illusion."

"An illusion?" I exclaimed in surprise, my voice rising several octaves. Had I been fighting an illusion all this time? But the scorching heat and the real damage didn't seem like an illusion at all. "How could this be?"

You smiled, offered no explanation, stepped forward, and put her arm around me. "I'll take you out."

"Okay." With You there, my tension immediately eased, and I leaned against You's chest to rest. I had just exhausted myself in that battle.

You hugged me and first took a few steps to the left, then stepped back and took a few steps to the right, then back to the left, repeating this several times. I really can't remember the rest, but with each step You took, the surrounding darkness seemed to brighten a bit. After You took the last step, we returned from the darkness to where we had landed.

I was amazed; I doubt I could ever learn this formation.

I just looked at the method for breaking the formation, but if you throw me back in, I still can't get out. I don't remember the steps at all.

"Master, are you alright?" Feng Su saw that I was still sweating on my forehead, so she took out a handkerchief from her bosom and wiped it away for me. Her phoenix eyes were filled with concern for me.

"I'm fine, I was just overexerted, I'll be fine after a rest."

Feng Su nodded obediently, but this time she secretly tugged at the sash on my clothes, afraid that I would disappear again.

I looked at Feng Su's fair and warm little hand, and my heart warmed. But then I thought about how I had to say goodbye to Feng Su, and I felt a little reluctant.

"Xinhuang, I didn't expect you to actually come out. It's a real pity you didn't die inside." This time, the voice that came from the sky was that of the real Suzaku.

I was furious at the thought of the endless puppet Suzaku, and I couldn't help but say, "Suzaku, you asked me to come, but you're hiding away? Isn't that a bit too despicable?"

But no one answered me from the air.

"I'm so angry!" I looked up at You pitifully and said, "He's ignoring me."

You ruffled my hair. "Don't be angry, I'll take care of you." After a long while, she added, "Wait a minute, I'll teach him a lesson for you."

"Don't kill them." I nodded, but still gave them a word of caution.

The Four Heavenly Spirits are not evil. They are only treating me this way to avenge the White Tiger. I can understand that.

I touched the bead in my arms, and it seemed to still radiate warmth, warming my heart.
