I never thought that getting ready could take so long. After my anxious wait, the maid next to me finally told me that everything was over.

I quickly got up and called out to Liu Lieyu, "Liu Lieyu, I'm ready." I must say, this headdress is really heavy. I didn't look at my outfit today, but I think it must be quite a formal one.

Liu Lieyu's gaze lingered on me with a hint of nostalgia, and for a long time, he simply looked at me without saying a word.

I couldn't wait any longer. I didn't care whether he missed it or not. I walked straight up to him, waved my hand in front of Liu Lieyu's eyes, and shouted, "Liu Lieyu!"

Liu Lieyu then came to his senses. "Let's go, Xin'er." Liu Lieyu solemnly took my hand.

Looking at Liu Lieyu's solemn demeanor, I suddenly sensed something was amiss. This... couldn't possibly be just a simple outing, could it? Otherwise, why such a grand occasion?

Just as I expected, as soon as we left the palace, a huge and extremely luxurious palanquin was parked at the entrance.

"What is this?" I asked, puzzled.

Liu Lieyu simply smiled and said, "The place we're going to is quite far, and I'm afraid it will tire you out, so let's use the divine carriage instead."

Look at how high and mighty you are. If you're really worried about me getting tired, then give me back my magic power.

Of course, I would never dare to say that out loud.

I nodded to indicate that I understood, and then sat on the divine carriage.

The divine chariot carried us out of the city step by step, and I silently memorized the route.

As they approached the city gate, the noise outside became increasingly clear.

I wondered if a large number of people had gathered outside the city. As the divine chariot approached, the tall, dark, and somewhat cumbersome city gate slowly opened, and I saw countless Guixu citizens outside the city.

I was startled. How could there be so many people?

Liu Lieyu probably sensed my emotions and reached out to hold my hand, saying, "Don't be afraid, they've all come to welcome you."

What is Liu Lieyu trying to do?!

As the divine chariot drew closer, I could now see the crowds more clearly. The wide streets were packed with people on both sides, while the soldiers of Guixu blocked the crowds on both sides for us. This straight avenue seemed to have no end, and the long lines of people gathered on both sides seemed to have no end in sight.

I thought to myself, even a superstar's appearance wouldn't cause this much frenzy.

When the crowds from Guixu on both sides saw Liu Lieyu and me appear, they knelt down and shouted, "Eastern Emperor, Imperial Consort!"

The scene before me felt strangely familiar, and a memory in my mind seemed exactly the same as this place.

Liu Lieyu smiled and waved to his people. I lowered my head, not knowing what to do. I couldn't bring myself to smile and wave back. You and I had fallen to this point, and every one of them was a murderer.

How did you restore everything to its original state?

My voice wasn't loud; it seemed to be drowned out by the clamor. I thought Liu Lieyu hadn't heard me, but I saw him pause, his faint smile stiffening. He turned to look at me, still smiling, but the coldness in his eyes was unfathomable. "Do you really have to say this?"

I glanced at Liu Lieyu's eerie eyes, then lowered my gaze and remained silent. Liu Lieyu gave me a deep look before looking away, a faint smile still on his face.

The waves here are surging, but the people below can't see them at all. They are still cheering for their "perfect couple".

The palanquin continued to move through the crowd, and I remained in the same posture for a long time. The ornaments on my head grew heavier and heavier, making it hard for me to breathe.
