In the middle of the night, I was half asleep when I suddenly felt someone watching me. I became alert. Could it be Zifang again?
I lay in bed, not daring to make a sound, and quietly opened half an eye to peek. There was a figure standing in front of my bed.
I have to say, I've become much braver since I came into this world. If I had found someone in front of my bed in the middle of the night before, I would have been scared half to death. But now, I'm not afraid at all, and I've even learned to analyze things calmly.
This person wasn't Zi Teng. Under the moonlight, Liu Lieyu's excessively pale face appeared before me.
Liu Lieyu?! Alarm bells rang in my mind. I silently reviewed my usual happy reactions when I saw You Shi. From now on, I must treat Liu Lieyu as a man I truly love and respect. I must be careful and cautious, and not give anything away. Liu Lieyu is not easy to fool.
"Liu Lieyu, you, what brings you here?" I opened my eyes after I saw it was Liu Lieyu, and asked, my face flushed and I stammering.
"I heard you were looking for me?" Liu Lieyu sat down by my bedside when he saw I was awake, his long, narrow eyes staring at me, leaving me nowhere to escape.
"Mmm." I nodded, avoiding looking at Liu Lieyu's shy expression.
"What? Missed me?" Liu Lieyu's words carried a hint of charm. As he spoke, Liu Lieyu's hand touched my forehead, and he leaned over me, stroking my forehead again and again, breathing into my ear.
"I wasn't thinking about you." I looked away and murmured awkwardly.
"Really?" Liu Lieyu looked at me with a smile and gently kissed my forehead. "Then what was the meaning of the note you left in my study? And what did you talk about with Zifang these past few days? Have you forgotten all of that?"
I lowered my eyes to hide the triumphant glint in them. Sure enough, Zi Teng would relay my performance over the past few days to Liu Lieyu.
"I forgot, I forgot." I shook my head, covering my flushed face.
"I think you didn't forget, you're just shy." Liu Lieyu pinched my cheek in a good mood. Seeing that I didn't dodge, he became bolder and pulled me close to kiss me.
At first, I was just too shy to respond. After all, it would be too strange if I were too enthusiastic. After Liu Lieyu kissed me for a while, I pretended to be moved and whispered softly, returning the kiss in a faint way. Liu Lieyu was obviously unusually excited by my reaction. I suppressed my disgust and cooperated with him.
Damn it, why isn't Qing Si Rao reacting at all?! I shouted anxiously in my heart.
Perhaps my shouts had an effect, because the next second, Liu Lieyu released me as if he had been burned by something before, and the golden light on my index finger disappeared after circling around once.
"Are you alright?" I pretended to be worried and wanted to help Liu Lieyu up, but I was afraid of scalding him again.
"Damn it!" Liu Lieyu cursed under his breath, looking extremely frustrated.
"You..." I glanced silently at Liu Lieyu's lower body, blushing, "Do you want to go take a shower?"
"No need." Liu Lieyu shook his head, then stared at me with a wicked grin, "If you're really worried about me, you can help me out."
"How can I help?" I feigned ignorance, inwardly thinking, "Damn it, this weird snake won't let me..."
Liu Lieyu looked at me for a long time, thought for a while, then shook his head and sighed, "Never mind, I'll go take a shower."
"Okay." I nodded obediently.
"Wait for me." Before leaving, Liu Lieyu kissed me on the cheek again and went to the bathroom. Soon after, I heard the sound of running water from the bathroom.
I collapsed onto the bed, closed my eyes, and suppressed all my disgust.
