I knew Liu Lieyu wouldn't be so kind.
"What are the conditions?" I turned around and stared at Liu Lieyu.
Liu Lieyu waved to me, and I pinched my hand, forcing myself to walk up to him with a smile.
Liu Lieyu reached out and pulled me, and I fell into his arms. As I lost my balance and fell, I deliberately used my strength to press down on Liu Lieyu, hoping to crush him to death.
Liu Lieyu snorted, "Unhappy?" Liu Lieyu pinched my chin with his fingers, forcing me to look at him.
I looked away, avoiding Liu Lieyu's gaze.
Seeing that I wasn't looking at him, Liu Lieyu released my chin and casually slumped onto the sofa. "It seems you don't want Feng Su to recover."
Damn it, Liu Lieyu always uses other people to threaten me.
What do you want me to do?
"I haven't thought of that yet."
Unexpected? So, are you going to release Feng Su or not?
"I'll promise you first, but could you please lift the curse on Feng Su?" I looked up at Liu Lieyu and pleaded.
Liu Lieyu looked at me with his narrow eyes, "I can break Feng Su's curse."
"Let's go then." With that, I prepared to get up.
Liu Lieyu pressed me down, "Not now."
"When will that be?"
"After our grand ceremony, I will lift the curse on Feng Su."
"Grand ceremony?" I almost forgot about it if Liu Lieyu hadn't mentioned it, but the grand ceremony still has to wait for an auspicious day.
I remember last time you said it would be six months later, and only half a month has passed.
Let it be a grand ceremony; I'll use these six months to prepare for my plans.
"Okay." I nodded, then climbed onto Liu Lieyu's neck and giggled, "You're not allowed to lie to me."
"I'm not lying to you." Liu Lieyu smiled and playfully pinched my nose.
From that day on, I pestered Liu Lieyu every day, treated him even better, and often asked him to take me around the entire Guixu. I would deliberately choose to say sweet words and make tender gestures with Liu Lieyu in public.
More and more people in Guixu were talking about me and Liu Lieyu. Everyone was discussing me and Liu Lieyu, and the loving daily life of the Eastern Emperor and the Empress even became a storybook that was widely circulated among the people.
"Wisteria." I, dressed as a man, sat in the teahouse of Guixu amidst the crowd, while the storyteller on the stage was engrossed in his tale.
"What's wrong?"
"How is your aunt doing these days?"
Zi Teng paused for a moment and looked at the storyteller on the stage. The storyteller was currently exaggerating the first encounter between the Eastern Emperor and the Empress.
"My aunt has been drinking more and more lately."
"It seems she's feeling down." I smiled slightly, picked up my teacup and sipped it slowly. It seems the overwhelming amount of PDA has had an effect on Fei Yan.
"By the way, I heard Liu Lieyu tell me the other day that he wanted to find a good man for Fei Yan."
"Donghuang really said that?"
I nodded gently.
"Your Majesty, please, please don't! I beg you to persuade the Emperor Donghuang. If things continue like this, my aunt will surely go mad."
"How could that be?" I feigned surprise.
"Your Majesty, you don't know, ever since your relationship with the Eastern Emperor has grown stronger, my aunt has become more and more haggard. Recently, she has given up on everything and spends her days drinking in the palace."
"How pitiful," I sighed. "Should I go and try to talk to your aunt?"
“You’d better not go. My aunt will only feel worse if she sees you.” Zi Teng’s eyes dimmed. “I’m really worried about my aunt. Her health won’t be able to take it if this continues.”
I glanced at the worried look on Zi Teng's face, said nothing, and turned my head to look at the storyteller on the stage.
