“Few people who cultivate themselves enjoy worldly pleasures, but you are different.”
“Master, aren’t you the same?” Feng Su muttered softly.
"I went to the mortal world and got tainted by its mortal atmosphere. Have you ever seen me eating and drinking before I descended to the mortal world?" I chatted casually with Feng Su.
I caught a glimpse out of the corner of my eye, my heart skipped a beat, and I immediately turned my head away. No way...
"Master, what's wrong?" Feng Su noticed my unusual behavior and quickly turned around to ask me.
"Feng Su, look..." I tugged at Feng Su's sleeve, pointed at You, and pursed my lips. "Feng Su, I just saw..."
"Master, what did you see?" You asked, grabbing my hand as she saw my panic.
I took a deep breath, feeling both disbelief and excitement. "Feng Su, I just saw it! I just saw You's finger move!"
"Really?" Feng Su was surprised. She stood up from beside me and walked quickly to You's side. After looking You up and down carefully, she said, "Master, are you seeing things? You didn't move."
I covered my throbbing temples with my hand. No way, I definitely didn't see things. I'm sure I understood what You's fingers meant.
I turned my head to take a closer look at You Jijing's body. You was still lying quietly on the ground, motionless, like a spirit that had been sleeping for many years.
I shook my head. "I didn't see wrong." I looked up at Feng Su seriously. "I'm sure I saw You's finger move just now."
Feng Su lowered his head again to examine You's physical condition. He reached out to look into Feng Su's eyes and then touched Feng Su's arm. I watched Feng Su test You in various ways, and I stared at You's body without blinking, but You did not move again.
I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. Could it be that I really saw it wrong?
Just as I was about to lower my head, I seemed to see You's finger move again out of the corner of my eye. I quickly looked up.
This time, not only did I see it, but Feng Su also saw it.
Feng Su stared wide-eyed in astonishment, “Master, You Yuan, You Yuan, he really moved!”
"I told you, I wasn't seeing things." I stood up in surprise, grabbed Feng Su's arm, and shouted excitedly, "You, You finally reacted!"
Feng Su was just as happy as I was, her face flushed with excitement.
I sniffed, trying to control my surging emotions, and squatted down. I took You's hand and whispered in her ear, "You, you've been sleeping for so long, shouldn't you get up? I missed you so much, You, let's get up, okay?" I kept whispering in You's ear.
I'm not sure if You can hear me, but I'm convinced it's a good sign; You is about to wake up.
"Feng Su, after waiting for so many days, there's finally a result..."
Feng Su nodded emphatically, "If You Yuan doesn't wake up, I'll drag him out of bed and give him to my master."
"No, don't be so cruel." I gently patted Feng Su's shoulder, then shifted my gaze to You.
This time, Feng Su and I watched as You's fingers twitched slightly, You Yuan's outstretched hands trembled slightly, and his tightly closed eyes seemed about to open.
I held my breath and watched You's every move quietly. I had never been so nervous before.
You's eyes, which had been tightly closed, twitched slightly, causing her eyelashes to flutter.
Feng Su and I held our breath and stared at You without moving. I prayed silently in my heart, begging you to make You wake up, though I didn't know who to beg.
After all, all the gods and Buddhas in the sky are people I know.
After many days, the bright, gleaming eyes finally opened again.
You slowly opened her eyes, then her lips parted slightly as if she wanted to say something.
Before You could even speak, I excitedly threw myself into her arms, shouting loudly, tears streaming down my face, "You, you're finally awake! I missed you so much!"
"Xin'er." A familiar voice lingered in my ears.
The feeling of losing something and then getting it back is simply wonderful.
"You, please don't do this again. What will I do if you die?"
You just held me and listened to my complaints about the past few days. After crying for a while, I got off You, touched her body, and asked, "You, are you okay now? Is anything bothering you?"
"Xin'er, I'm fine. It just feels like I had a very, very long dream," You said softly, hugging me as she spoke.
I sat up, straightened up, and sat on the edge of You's bed. You sat up from the bed, her ink-black hair cascading down like a waterfall.
I stared intently at You's body, my eyes welling up with tears again.
"What's wrong, Xin'er? Why are you crying again?" You patted my head and chuckled.
"I wasn't crying." I wiped away the tears from the corners of my eyes.
You chuckled lightly, "Stubborn to the end."
"By the way, You." I hesitated whether or not to tell You about the man in black.
"What's wrong?"
"Do you know who saved you?" I continued before You could answer, "It was a mysterious man in black. He was covered from head to toe by a long robe and wore a silver mask. He exuded a chilling aura, and ice flowers would form wherever he walked."
You listened with a faint smile and remained silent.
I continued, "You, you don't know what he said... He said he was the Sun and Moon Lord, and also that he was Emperor Jun."
You finally spoke, smiling slightly, "He wasn't wrong."
I stared at You in surprise.
"He is both the Sun and Moon Lord and Emperor Jun; he is not lying to you."
"How could this be?" I was momentarily stunned. I believed in Sun and Moon Lord, but Di Jun, shouldn't Di Jun be You?
I couldn't say it outright, so I just stood there dumbfounded for a moment and stammered, "Wasn't Di Jun dead a long time ago?"
His dark eyes stared at me, as if with a hidden meaning, "Xin'er, I am Di Jun. Our marriage was destined in our past lives."
In that instant, I was overwhelmed with emotions. I didn't know what to say. It was destined in our past lives that I wasn't the one destined for you... but your true love, Nüxin.
I concealed the disappointment in my eyes. "But, you are Di Jun? Where is the person you were just now? He even turned into blue smoke and entered your body."
After a moment of contemplation, You said, "How am I supposed to explain this to you?"
I blinked, sat obediently, and waited for You to speak.
"You remember how I died, don't you?"
"I remember it was Liu Lieyu who used the Eastern Emperor Bell..."
"No, I'm not talking about this time, I'm talking about my past life, when I was still Di Jun."
"My past life?" My memory was instantly pulled back to ancient times, when Di Jun was the Lord of Demon Gods and Liu Lieyu was still cultivating in the cave.
