The woman glanced at me and bowed, saying, "Your Majesty, I am not sure either."
I lowered my eyes and waved my hand, "You may leave."
The woman disappeared silently.
Could Liu Lieyu's sudden trip to the West really be to cause trouble for Luo? I sat on the bed, wringing the sheets.
As dusk fell, Liu Lieyu still hadn't returned. I was all alone in the vast palace, pacing back and forth anxiously.
The servants in Liu Lieyu's palace were extremely tight-lipped; no matter how I asked, they wouldn't tell me a single piece of information about Liu Lieyu.
All I can do is silently pray for Luo and the others, hoping that Liu Lieyu won't go too far.
"Xin'er." I was sitting on the bed, feeling sad, when I suddenly heard a very familiar male voice.
I was slightly taken aback, rubbed my ears, and couldn't believe it.
"Xin'er!"
Another sound, and my heart seemed to sink instantly; tears streamed down my face.
I wiped away the tears from the corners of my eyes, slowly turned my head, and a familiar figure appeared in front of me, with a head of ink-black hair hanging down to her waist.
"You?" I stammered, somewhat incredulous.
Is this really a ghost story? Is it my ghost story?
You nodded gently, "Yes, it's me."
My tears flowed like a spring, unstoppable, bursting forth like a dam breaking.
"You, you're awake." I threw off the covers and ran barefoot to You, hugging her tightly around the neck.
"You, you're finally back!" I cried, tears streaming down my face.
"I'm back." You gently stroked my hair and whispered in my ear.
"How did you get out?" I asked, my voice choked with emotion. "What about your brothers? Are they dead?"
"To tell you the truth," You whispered in my ear, slowly recounting, "I was able to get out this time thanks to your help, Xin'er."
"Me?" I released my arms from You's neck, looked at You, and was a little puzzled.
"Hmm." You took my hand, and after we sat down on the edge of the bed together, You spoke again, "There's a kid named Qianxi up ahead, did you send him to see me?"
"Qianxi?" I immediately thought of the boy in red. Qianxi left without saying a word, and I had always assumed he hadn't helped me. "Did he help you?"
“Yes.” You nodded. “He found me and did some dirty tricks on me. I had to get out on my own.”
"Then how did you get out?" I still didn't quite understand.
You ruffled my hair. "I've been trapped in my body all this time, and my body has been controlled by my brothers. Ever since Qianxi helped me, I've been silently devouring their souls."
"Now?" I looked You up and down. Yes, You was still the same You.
"What do their souls say now?" You lowered his head and pondered for a moment before speaking, "Their souls have all been absorbed by me."
"Will they come out again in the future?" I touched You's body with some concern.
"No." You grasped my hand that was wandering around. "Don't touch me like that."
I withdrew my hand, still a little curious, "So when did you come out?"
You calculated the dates, "It's probably around the time when you and You hold your ceremony."
"It wasn't him and me." I lowered my head somewhat guiltily. "I wasn't the one who held the ceremony with Liu Lieyu."
You smiled faintly, "I know, you're looking for Fei Yan."
"How did you know?" I looked at You with some curiosity, then I got angry again, "Why didn't you come to find me when you got up so early? You made me worry for nothing!" I started to cry again when I thought about the suffering I had endured these past few days.
"Xin'er, don't cry." You hugged me and coaxed me gently.
Hearing Youwen's gentle voice only made me cry even louder.
I'm still with Liu Lieyu. I hope You won't dislike me.
“You.” I reached out and tightly gripped You’s clothes.
"What's wrong, Xin'er?" You gently asked, holding my anxious little hand with her well-defined knuckles.
"I..." I pursed my lips, feeling somewhat uneasy, "Liu Lieyu and I..." I really couldn't bring myself to say it.
"Xin'er, I know everything." You sighed, placed her hands on my face, and held my face so that I could look into her eyes. "Xin'er, it's all my fault. You've suffered."
Looking into You's worried and guilty eyes, my heart ached.
Seeing that I still had red eyes and tears streaming down my face, You suddenly chuckled, "Liu Lieyu also gifted me a hundred beauties, Xin'er, are you also disgusted with me now?"
I shook my head violently. How could I dislike You? It was all my fault. You hadn't blamed me at all, even though I was the one who caused all this trouble. If I had agreed to run away with You earlier, none of this mess would have happened. It's all my fault for meddling. In the end, it was also because I carelessly injured You, and then there were those heartless words outside the South Heavenly Gate.
My eyes were red, and I sniffed. "It's not your fault, it's all my fault." As I said this, tears fell again. "You, I didn't say those things outside the South Heavenly Gate."
"I know," You sighed in an almost inaudible voice, "I know everything."
You pulled me into her arms again. "I remember everything you said to me later."
"You." My nose tingled, and I wrapped my arms tightly around You's waist.
After a while, I suddenly remembered something and sat up abruptly.
"You, how did you get in?" Liu Lieyu's palace is heavily guarded, with layers upon layers of soldiers. How did You manage to sneak in?
You tapped my head. "You're only just now thinking of asking me this?"
"Ouch." I covered my head, looking at You's familiar face, and it felt like I wouldn't be afraid of anything troublesome anymore.
“I’ve trapped all those people,” You said casually.
"Trapped?" I asked, puzzled.
"Mm." You nodded.
"How did they get trapped?"
"Formation."
After hearing You's final reply, I didn't press the matter further. I still have confidence in You's methods.
"Xin'er, come with me." You took my hand and looked at me with eyes as bright as stars.
"Okay." I nodded with red eyes and got off the bed.
I was halfway there when I suddenly remembered something and stopped. "No, I can't go with you."
"Why?" You stopped and turned to ask me.
I clasped my hands together, my two fingers spinning incessantly, my heart filled with turmoil. Going with You now is the best option, but what about Feng Su?
Feng Su is still in prison. If I leave, Feng Su will surely die when Liu Lieyu returns.
Feng Su has always treated me with sincerity, taken care of me in every way, and risked his life for me without hesitation. How could I possibly abandon Feng Su to die like this?!
I stammered, "You, Feng Su, he's still in prison."
I was a little flustered. I knew that You had never been very friendly to Feng Su, and didn't even want to bring You with us.
