"Jinyu!" I rushed over and helped Jinyu up to check her condition. "How could this happen?!"
"What happened?" Feng Su asked anxiously.
"I'm fine, it's so beautiful." Jin Yu's gaze remained fixed on the sky, a satisfied smile in her eyes.
"How could she be alright?" I cried out, my voice trembling with tears. Jin Yu was... about to be reduced to ashes. How could this be? Why?
Jin Yu didn't even glance at me, her eyes filled with amazement and satisfaction, without a trace of fear or sadness.
"Feng Su, quick, go back! Back to the Abyss!" I said to Feng Su immediately. We couldn't figure out the situation yet; the only certainty was that it was related to the outside environment. We should send Jin Yu back first and discuss the matter further.
"No! No! I don't want to go back!" Jin Yu protested loudly as soon as she heard that I had to go back. Her gaze finally fell on me, and she looked at me with pleading eyes. "Don't make me go back. I'd rather die in the sunlight."
"Jinyu, why bother? Let's go back first, okay? There will be plenty of opportunities later."
Jin Yu shook her head, tilted her head back to face the sun, slowly closed her eyes, and said, "There's no chance anymore."
After Jin Yu finished speaking, her body slowly became transparent, gradually turning into starlight from her feet.
"No!" I hurriedly cast a spell to protect Jin Yu, but it was no use at all. No matter how much magic I used, it was like a bowl of water flowing into the ocean, a drop in the ocean.
"Don't waste your energy." Jin Yu's voice was a little weak. "I'm very happy, really, thank you."
"Jinyu, you can't die. I have something to tell you. Your mother, yes, your mother, I know her! I've known your mother for a long time. Don't you want to hear your mother's story?"
"Really?" Jin Yu's eyes brightened as she looked at me, and she forced a smile. "It's a pity we didn't recognize each other sooner."
Jin Yu laboriously raised her hand to search for something in her bosom. After rummaging around for a while, she took out a round bead from her bag. The bead shone with a peaceful white light and contained powerful energy.
"This is?"
“This was left to me by my mother. Since you know my mother, I’m entrusting it to you for safekeeping, which is also a way of bringing my mother home.” Jin Yu placed the bead in my hand and then struggled to open her eyes to look at this brand new world.
Jin Yu's body rapidly dissipated, and my magic power could no longer sustain it...
I watched helplessly as Jin Yu vanished into the wind. The person who was just alive was now gone without a trace. Only the slightly cool beads in my hand reminded me of everything that had just happened.
Why is this happening? I gripped the beads in my hand and looked around in confusion. Once again, another living life vanished before my eyes.
My vision went black, and a wave of dizziness washed over me. Before I passed out, I heard everyone shouting urgently.
I had a dream where I was still an ordinary college student, playing and laughing with my friends in the cafeteria, classroom, and dormitory. But when I looked back, I always felt that something was missing.
Why did Xin'er faint?
It was a dream; I seemed to hear You's worried and urgent voice.
"You Emperor, Emperor Xin fainted because his magic power was depleted and his vital energy was temporarily damaged, and he also suffered a blow. He is not seriously injured."
"No serious injury? Then why haven't you woken up yet? What use are you, this so-called healer?"
I was woken up by their voices. "You, don't blame him, I'm fine."
"Xin'er, you're awake?" You looked delighted to see me awake.
