The battle took place at the entrance between the abyss and the outside world.
To better facilitate their entry into the abyss, Liu Lieyu's men forcibly expanded the narrow passage to a hundred meters. The soldiers of Guixu poured into the abyss one after another, each filled with righteous indignation.
"You, do you think Liu Lieyu was deliberately imprisoned by us that day?"
Why do you say that?
I sorted out my thoughts and laid out my ideas in their entirety. "Before Liu Lieyu was imprisoned by us, the morale of the Guixu people shouldn't have been high. Apart from Liu Lieyu, the rest of them had no reason to fight us. But after Liu Lieyu was imprisoned by us, the Guixu people became furious and demanded an explanation. Do you think this was something Liu Lieyu did on purpose to boost morale?"
You gave me an approving look. "You're right. When Liu Lieyu came to our Guixu, whether we did anything or not, he would stir up some trouble before going back. That's also his purpose in coming to our Abyss."
"That little bastard Liu Lieyu!" I couldn't help but curse under my breath.
“Xin’er, you don’t need to scold him so quickly.” You chuckled. “I already knew what he was thinking, it’s just a pity that he got away.”
I sighed. I was very familiar with the mirror that Liu Lieyu used when he escaped that day.
"It was my oversight; I never imagined that the Wu mirror could be used in this way."
I patted You's arm to comfort her and asked, "Have you thought of a good idea?"
"Hmm." You nodded slightly.
You and I stood on high ground, below which was the main battlefield.
There has been no conflict yet, and the ground for nearly a kilometer is empty. The occasional breeze carries a sense of dread, and not far ahead is Liu Lieyu's temporary encampment.
These days, the soldiers fight each other, and every time Liu Lieyu makes a move, You blocks it.
You suddenly pointed ahead and said, "That's Liu Lieyu's camp." You put down her hand. "I originally planned to imprison them all, but Liu Lieyu seems to know my actions and never stays in one place for long."
"You want to imprison them again?"
"Hmm." You nodded slightly. "It's just that we haven't waited for the right opportunity yet."
I remained silent. If the imprisonment could be successful, all the better. However, Liu Lieyu had already been through this once and would surely be cautious in everything he did, so he probably wouldn't be imprisoned easily.
"Alright, Xin'er, you've seen enough, let's go back," You said, pulling my hand. "It's windy here."
"Okay." I nodded; there really wasn't much else to see here.
You led me back to our military camp, and I shared a tent with You.
On the way back, they ran into Feng Su.
"Master, what brings you here?!" Feng Su was shocked to see me, as if she had seen a ghost.
"Master, aren't you just making a scene?" Feng Su frowned. "What are you doing here while pregnant?"
"Who said I was joking? I'm very serious."
Feng Su shook her head, disapproving of my behavior. After looking at me, she turned her gaze to You, her eyes seeming to say, "Aren't you going to do anything about it?"
You calmly explained, "If Xin'er wants to come, let him be."
"Aren't you worried about hurting the child?" Feng Su asked incredulously.
A warm smile appeared on You's lips as she said, "Xin'er will use magic to protect the child, and Doctor Zou also said that our baby is fine."
Feng Su looked at the two of us speechlessly, left with a comment saying "You're really carefree," and then hurriedly left to attend to other matters.
"Xin'er, let's go back and rest for a while."
"Okay." I was in an exceptionally good mood.
"Xin'er, do you remember the conditions you promised me before we came here?" You asked casually as she supported me.
"Of course I remember." I nodded firmly. "Don't worry, I won't go back on my word. I'll listen to whatever you say."
"Okay." You nodded gently. "Don't worry, I won't give you hundreds of conditions."
"Go ahead and tell me." Even now, my smile is still bright.
You smiled gently, her eyes gleaming with agility. "The first condition is that you can only stay in my tent and cannot come out without my permission."
"What did you say?!" The smile on my face froze instantly.
You smiled but remained silent.
You's tent arrived just then. "This is it," You said, pointing to the tent ahead.
I looked up and saw that You's tent was not much different from the others around it.
My instinct was to run away; I didn't want to be locked up again.
You reacted even faster than me, picking me up and carrying me into the tent.
Inside the tents, there were hanging beads for lighting, and the floor was covered with soft carpets. Upon entering, there was a table and several benches. A screen separated two different areas in the middle, and on the other side of the screen was a large bed with a bedside table and other furniture.
I turned around and wanted to run outside.
You didn't stop me; she just crossed her arms and watched me run out.
As soon as I saw You's posture, I knew something was wrong. Sure enough, I was stuck in the inner palace again, unable to get out.
"Youyuan! How could you do this?!" I angrily turned to look at the calm and composed Youyuan.
"What's wrong with me?" You asked innocently.
"You!" I pointed angrily at the door. "You're asking me what's wrong? Why did you trap me here again?"
"You said you would agree to my conditions and promised to keep them."
"You..." I gritted my teeth in anger.
"You won't go back on your word, will you?" You suddenly poked her head out and smiled mischievously.
"You promised to bring me to the battlefield."
"Yes, isn't this a battlefield?"
Okay, I get it. I've been completely fooled. I've just changed positions, everything else is the same.
I glared at You, sat down angrily in my chair, and didn't say anything more.
If Youruo suddenly comes up with a bunch of outrageous conditions, I'll be in trouble. After all, I boasted that I would agree to hundreds of them.
I tapped my head. How could I be so silly!
"Are you angry?" You quietly approached me and asked.
"Hmph." I snorted and turned my head away from him.
"Don't be angry." You put an arm around me. "I'm really worried about you going to the battlefield."
"But..." I turned around and looked into You's eyes with a hint of grievance.
“I know you want to help me.” You looked at me earnestly. “But I’m worried about you. What if something happens to the baby? You wouldn’t be happy if the baby was gone, would you?”
I nodded gently. If my baby were to die because of my willfulness, I would regret it for the rest of my life.
"But I can protect him with magic, and I will never force myself. I'll just fight some minor monsters..."
“You’re being careful, but what about Liu Lieyu? If Liu Lieyu sees you, he’ll definitely try every means to get close to you and hurt you. It’s impossible to guard against. Xin’er, I really don’t want anything to happen to you.”
"Okay." My heart softened after hearing You's few words. Perhaps You's concerns were justified.
