"Don't overthink it, I'll stay with you." You gently rubbed my head.
I gave a soft "hmm".
Why ask? Time will tell.
"Oh dear." I checked the time. "The renovation team is coming."
I grabbed You and ran back.
We had barely returned to the villa when the renovation team arrived.
However, they didn't bring much; the three of them just carried laptops and folders.
"Hello, Miss and Sir." The leader greeted You and me.
I quickly invited them in to tour the room.
After the room tour, I began to explain my ideas.
They listened attentively, took notes, and occasionally communicated with me.
"That's pretty much my idea. The rest is up to you."
"Don't worry, miss, we will definitely make you satisfied." The leading man smiled and shook hands with me.
I paused for a moment, then reached out and gently shook his hand.
I glanced at You and, sure enough, she seemed a little unhappy.
"By the way, how long will it take for my room to be completed?"
"About a month, we'll do it as soon as possible."
"Okay, thank you for your trouble."
After saying goodbye to the renovation team, You stood next to me, unhappily squeezing the hand I had just shaken with someone else.
“This is human etiquette,” I explained.
"Yes, I know."
You know? I looked at You's profile; you knew but you weren't happy.
I smiled and looked at You with a gentle smile, I loved seeing You jealous.
You was holding my hand, but I placed my other hand on her large hand. "You, let's go out for a big meal today."
"Okay." You held my hand and smiled slightly. "It seems I haven't been feeding you enough, you're always thinking about eating."
I leaned into You's arms and said, "Isn't it good to eat? The food is delicious."
"Okay, eat more." You put her arm around me and stroked my long hair with one hand.
I took You to the most famous upscale restaurant in the area for a meal.
The restaurants here serve Chinese food, mainly Sichuan and Hunan cuisine.
I chose this restaurant because it's spicy.
I booked too late, and there were no seats left in the private rooms, so You and I had to sit in the lobby.
As usual, I ordered a table full of dishes, and You simply followed my orders.
I must say, the decor of this restaurant is quite nice.
It is a restaurant with a traditional Chinese style, with a small bridge at the entrance and flowing water underneath.
After crossing the bridge, you enter the hall, where there are lantern-shaped lights overhead and a black floor under your feet.
The restaurant features mahogany furniture, and each table in the main hall is separated from the others.
When You and I were halfway through our meal, we suddenly noticed a man and a woman, both wearing sunglasses and masks, coming in from outside.
I looked around for a moment and then looked away. Why are they wearing sunglasses indoors?
I felt that the woman wearing sunglasses looked familiar, so I looked closer and realized that the two of them had disappeared around the corner of the private room.
"What are you looking at?" You noticed my distraction and put a piece of meat in my bowl.
"I just saw someone who looked familiar," I replied truthfully.
I felt like I'd seen the woman's figure somewhere before; I kept thinking about it, but I couldn't quite place it.
"Have you figured out who it is?"
I shook my head. "No."
"Let's eat first, then we can think about it later." You put another piece of eggplant on his plate.
"Okay." I nodded and turned my attention back to the table, eating my food.
You and I ate slowly. There was nothing in the way, so we weren't in a hurry.
We had almost finished eating, and You served me a small bowl of soup.
I was drinking my soup when I noticed that the man and woman who had just been there came out again, still wearing masks and sunglasses.
I frowned and looked again. For some reason, the woman always gave me a sense of familiarity.
Perhaps my gaze was too intense, for the woman actually turned her head to look at me.
The woman was wearing sunglasses, so I couldn't see her eyes, but I was certain she was looking at me.
I froze on the spot, not expecting her to look at me.
When the woman saw me, she was also taken aback and turned her head to whisper to the man next to her.
The man nodded and went out first.
The woman then walked towards me.
Is it really someone I know? But who is it?
I frowned as I thought about it.
You also saw the woman approaching us, but he only glanced at her briefly before looking away, showing no sign of panic.
I watched the woman's graceful figure approaching, feeling a sense of familiarity but unable to quite place who she was.
The woman was sitting across from us, and even though she was wearing a mask and sunglasses, I felt like she was smiling.
"Don't you recognize me?" the woman said, taking off her sunglasses.
"Wisteria!" My eyes widened instantly; it was actually wisteria.
"Hmm." Wisteria nodded slightly, having already taken off her sunglasses; putting them back on would make her stand out even more.
"What are you doing here? Aren't you a star? I even saw one of your movies." I was a little excited, I hadn't expected to run into Zifang here.
What a coincidence!
Wisteria smiled, and although her mouth could not be seen, it could be seen from her upturned eyebrows. "What a coincidence, I was startled when I saw you just now."
I just smiled foolishly, not knowing what to say for a moment.
"If I hadn't turned around, wouldn't we have missed each other?"
"Who says otherwise?" I said, scratching my head with a smile.
Why were you staring at me like that?
"I just feel like you look familiar, but I can't quite place who you are."
"You little ingrate, you've already forgotten me?" Wisteria teased.
I chuckled sheepishly and asked again, "How is life in the mortal realm? Pretty good, huh?"
“Yes.” Zi Teng nodded emphatically. “It’s really good.” Then Zi Teng leaned forward slightly and said in a low but proud voice, “And now Gu Yue is my boyfriend.”
"You actually won him over!" I remember that Zifang liked watching Guyue's TV shows when she was still in Guixu.
"Hmm." When Gu Yue was mentioned, Zi Teng actually seemed a little shy.
"Alright, let's not talk about me anymore." Zi Teng waved her hand and glanced at You again. "You successfully escaped from Guixu?"
"I guess so," Zi Teng said, and I was a little worried that he would ask about her aunt.
I wonder if Zi Teng knows that her aunt is in trouble.
Zifang paused for a moment, then asked, "What about my aunt? Is my aunt alright?"
I pursed my lips, and my face immediately went expressionless.
Zifang could tell from my expression that her aunt was in a bad mood.
"How is my aunt?" Zi Teng asked anxiously. "Was she punished by the Eastern Emperor?"
I shook my head. "No."
"So what exactly happened?" Wisteria pressed on.
I really couldn't bear to tell Zifang that your aunt had died.
Although her aunt once wanted to kill me, I was the one who gave her hope, so I can be considered to have harmed her.
Without me, Aunt Wisteria wouldn't have reached the point of death.
