Chapter 398

Princess Wei stood in front of the carriage, her expression not pleasant, but rather tinged with gloom.

I carefully examined Yinhua's appearance and found that I was still somewhat different from her. Yinhua was not as pure and unapproachable as Nvxin, nor as approachable as me. Her temperament was pure yet with a touch of charm. Perhaps because she was still young, she still retained some innocence.

I have to say, even I was captivated by it; no wonder she could charm Liu Lieyu so much.

I smiled and thought, "Nv Xin is really ruthless when she gets going."

Yinhua didn't see me, but she stood there as if waiting for someone. You and I weren't in a hurry, so we just stood aside and watched.

Sure enough, a man dressed in a green robe appeared in front of us shortly afterward.

I squinted. This person looked vaguely familiar. I walked around to get a better look at the man's face.

Luo?

I searched my memory and vaguely remembered a time when I, Pailo, was in charge of handing over tasks to Yinhua.

"Immortal Official, you've arrived." Upon seeing Luo, Yinhua's expression instantly changed, and she smiled in an extremely ingratiating manner.

Luo remained businesslike, asking, "What do you need me for?"

"Immortal Official, you sent me to the Kingdom of Wei to be a princess, saying I would meet Liu Lieyu. A few days ago, you sent me to the Kingdom of Chu for a marriage alliance. But I have been in the mortal realm for so long now, and I still haven't heard from Liu Lieyu."

Luo glanced at Yinhua lightly, "What's the rush? The time isn't right yet."

"Yes." Yinhua remained humble.

"By the way, from today onwards, you must ensure that your identity as the princess of Wei Kingdom is known throughout the world."

"Um?"

Luo frowned slightly. "Don't you know how to package it?"

"I see."

"Hmm." Luo responded coldly and then disappeared again.

After Yinhua left, I asked, "You, do you think Yinhua might know where the Soul-Stealing Jade is?"

"Let's take a look first." You looked thoughtful as she watched Yin Hua walk away.

I honestly don't remember how Yinhua hooked up with Liu Lieyu back then. I had arranged everything and then went into seclusion. When I came out, everything went very smoothly. Liu Lieyu suffered a lot because of Yinhua, and his reputation was completely ruined.

"Hmm." Would Liu Lieyu really be attracted by Yinhua's reputation? Liu Lieyu is just a little snake demon less than two hundred years old; he wouldn't dare...

You and I stayed there for a while before leaving.

Today, we stayed in the teahouse as usual, filtering out useful information from a multitude of sources.

But we sat there all day, and all we heard in the teahouse was talk about the two princesses.

You and I sat there until the afternoon before leaving.

That night, You and I lay in bed when a great idea suddenly came to mind.

“You!” I sat up abruptly and tugged at You.

"What's wrong?" You propped herself up and got up.

"You, I've got a great idea to find the Soul-Stealing Jade faster." Only You's eyes gleamed in the dark.

"What idea?" You straightened her clothes casually.

“We can ask those powerful and influential people to help me find it.”

A glint flashed in her eyes. "It's possible, but I..."

"You don't want to be exposed, do you?"

"Mm." You nodded gently.

"No, don't worry, there aren't many people in the mortal world who know us."

"Powerful and influential?" You murmured, her eyes deep. "I've got it."

"Um?"

"What do you think about choosing the eldest prince of Chu to help us find the Soul-Stealing Jade?"

"If the Crown Prince helps us, that would be wonderful, but... how can we get close to him and gain his trust?" I've heard about the Crown Prince's reputation these past few days. I've heard that he's gentle and polite, brave and resourceful, respectful to the virtuous and kind, and loves the people like his own children. He sounds like a good person.

"Leave this to me." You reached out and ruffled my hair. "Wait for me at the inn or teahouse tomorrow, okay?"

"Okay." I didn't refuse. This world is much safer for me, and those who want to hurt me are not capable enough right now.

Thinking this, I fell asleep contentedly, and when I woke up the next day, You was indeed nowhere to be seen.

I slowly got out of bed, dressed, and then asked the waiter to prepare some food and bring it up.

After I finished eating, I couldn't sit still at home, so I swaggered over to the teahouse.

Today, I am all alone, and to avoid unnecessary trouble, I deliberately changed into men's clothing.

As soon as I sat down, I noticed the intense gazes from all directions.

I really experienced the feeling of being in a ghost town today.

A smile tugged at the corner of my mouth. I ordered the waiter to bring a pot of tea and began to sip it slowly. The sunlight outside was just right, making me feel warm all over.

I was unconsciously admiring the beautiful scenery outside the window when I was drawn to the loud voice of a boy.

"Hey? What's wrong with you? I told you, don't follow me!" The boy's voice sounded very annoyed, but it also revealed a unique sunshine and innocence.

I looked in the direction of the sound and saw a young man in red standing downstairs, speaking impatiently to a man behind him.

The man ignored the boy's dissatisfaction and remained kneeling on the ground, following the boy's every step.

I couldn't help but laugh out loud. Perhaps my voice was too clear and crisp, because it attracted the attention of the boy in red.

The boy tilted his head back, revealing a pair of doe-like eyes, his fair and delicate neck forming a beautiful line.

A sly glint flashed in the boy's eyes. He smiled at me, then lowered his head and pointed at the man kneeling at his feet, saying, "Didn't you say you wanted to be my bodyguard? Go, beat that guy up and I'll agree."

I:? ? ?

A person sits on the balcony, while a pot falls from the ground?

The man looked up at the boy. "Really?"

"Indeed, my word is my bond."

"Okay." The man stood up and really came towards me.

I could tell at a glance what the boy was up to. "Hey, my good sir, you'd better watch out, your young master might slip away."

The man stopped and turned to look at the boy. The boy had just taken one step to run away when he was caught red-handed.

Seeing that he had been arrested, the boy was naturally in a bad mood. He looked up and glared at me fiercely, but to me, he looked cute and adorable despite his fierce appearance.

"Young master, please." The man bent down and gestured for him to sit down.

The two then went up to the teahouse. The owner had naturally heard the commotion outside.

However, the boss saw that one of them was dressed in clothes that indicated wealth and status, while the other looked menacing and not someone to be trifled with, so he didn't dare to speak up and stop them.

I took a sip of tea, and the two of them rushed up to me.

I put down my teacup and glanced at the two of them. "You really want to fight me?"

"Enough with the nonsense, I'm here to beat you up." The boy in red slammed his fist on the table, his eyes filled with a hatred that seemed to want to tear me apart and devour me.

So fierce? I didn't do anything to provoke him, did I? He really is a short-tempered guy.

“”
