Chapter 82

I wandered around the celestial realm with my little fairy Changxi. Everywhere I went, all the immortals treated me with utmost respect. Even when I waved my little hands, shook my head, and hummed a little tune, no one criticized my behavior.

I inexplicably felt a sense of inflated ego, like I was now a high-ranking leader.

Oh, isn't that the honest and straightforward immortal official who angered You before? What a coincidence, I've run into him again.

"What are you doing?" I leaned closer, and the little fairy official was startled and quickly put away what he was holding and greeted me.

"Xinhuang".

"What are you hiding?" I asked suspiciously, looking the little immortal official up and down.

The little immortal official hurriedly waved his hands, somewhat flustered, "No! I didn't hide anything?"

"You must have hidden something. I saw it just now. Show it to me quickly."

"You really saw it?" The little immortal official asked hesitantly.

"Aren't you going to take it? Do you want me to..." I was stopped by the little fairy official before I could finish speaking.

"No, no, no. I'll take it." The little fairy official hung his head in frustration and took out a flat, long object from his bosom.

This... is actually... a cell phone!!!

My goodness, this is the first time I've ever seen a cell phone in the Celestial Realm!

I stared wide-eyed at the object in the little fairy's hand. It really was a cell phone! I swallowed hard. It really was a cell phone! How long had it been since I'd seen one? I used to be a cell phone enthusiast.

How do you have a cell phone?

The little celestial official gave me an approving look, "As expected of the Emperor Xin who has been to the mortal realm and experienced the world, he actually recognizes this item."

Hearing what the little immortal official said, I felt a slight black line appear on my head. "It's just that there are plenty of cell phones in the mortal world. What's so strange about this?"

Unexpectedly, the little celestial official became disappointed upon hearing this. "Yes, it's just something common in the mortal world, but we don't have it in our celestial realm. Emperor Xin, don't you think this is backwardness?"

I blinked, unsure how to answer. There are very few things for entertainment in the immortal realm. The people of the immortal realm are either cultivating their bodies and minds to comprehend the Dao of Heaven or diligently practicing magic to subdue demons and monsters. They live like ancient relics. Moreover, they don't play with such things themselves, nor do they allow others to do so, saying that playing with such things will distract them from their studies and harm their cultivation. Therefore, these things are not allowed to be brought to the immortal realm.

I swallowed hard, a little envious, and asked, "Is there internet?"

The little celestial official rolled her eyes at me, looking at me like I was an idiot. "What are you thinking? Where would you find a network in the celestial realm?"

My interest vanished instantly. "A phone without internet is no different from a brick, it's even worse than a brick."

The little fairy official was immediately unhappy. "Who said that? You should know that my phone has downloaded 180GB of resources."

Upon hearing this, I covered my mouth and chuckled, then looked the little immortal official up and down. "Do you have enough toilet paper?"

The little fairy official looked completely bewildered. "What does this have to do with toilet paper?"

"It's nothing, it's nothing," I said, waving my hand as I tried to suppress a laugh.

The little fairy official, though unaware of the situation, noticed my strange expression and said, "It's definitely not good news."

"What's your name?" I couldn't help but ask. This little celestial official was really interesting.

“Fanli,”

I searched my memory for information about Fan Li, but couldn't find any. He's probably just an insignificant person.

"Fanli, I'll remember you."

"Is that a promotion and a raise for me?" Fan Li blinked, her eyes sparkling.

"A promotion and a raise?" I asked with a smile. "So what do you want to do?"

"What I do isn't important, the main thing is that it pays well, is easy, and is close to home," Fan Li said, shaking his head as if it were a serious matter.

"You've got a good idea." I chuckled. This Fan Li is so kind. "I'll keep an eye out for you."
