In my sleep, I suddenly felt a bone-chilling cold, and my face felt as if it were covered in wet water.
"Mocha, stop messing around." I thought it was my own dog licking me again.
"Emperor You sent me to ask Emperor Xin if he has repented?"
Another bucket of cold water was poured on a woman dressed in white. Although she was lying on the ground with her hands and feet shackled, she could not hide her noble aura.
In my dazed state, I seemed to hear something about Emperor Xin and Emperor You. Aren't these characters from the novel I just finished reading all night?
Was I dreaming? Or is it just a case of what you think about during the day manifesting in your dreams at night? But it was probably just a daydream, since I stayed up all night and it's already noon.
It's so cold, is the air conditioning set too low? Why is it all damp? Is the air conditioner leaking?
I couldn't resist opening my tired eyes, and all I saw was a dark floor. How did I end up sleeping on the floor?
I snapped back to reality, sat up, and looked around. It was a dark room with a candle burning in the corner. What was that? A door with an iron frame.
The more I look at this place, the more it resembles a prison.
"Emperor Xin, you're awake? Emperor You sent me to ask if you know you've done wrong?"
I then looked up and noticed the person in front of me. The person was wearing silver armor, and most of their face was covered by a helmet, so I couldn't see them clearly.
Are you talking to me?
"Yes."
"You said I'm the Emperor Xin?" I asked again, uncertainly. Could this be the world from the book I read yesterday?
And I even became the female lead? What a wonderful thing that happened to me!
The thought of this possibility filled me with excitement, and I almost wanted to burst out laughing three times.
The female protagonist in this novel is incredibly powerful, but unfortunately, she's constantly suppressed by the male protagonist. Despite her impressive background and talent, she remains his puppet. Even though he does so many terrible things to her, she foolishly forgives him every single time. It made me incredibly angry.
The character that broke my heart the most was the second male lead. His fate was truly tragic. The book describes him as the lowest of the low among demons, with an extremely ugly original form and extreme behavior. He repeatedly failed to win the female lead's heart, leading to increasingly erratic behavior and many extreme acts, ultimately dying at the hands of the male and female leads. But the second male lead was so pitiful and heartbreaking. While reading, I almost wanted to send the author a knife. Originally, the second male lead, You Yuan, was a great emperor who ruled over countless demons in his previous life, but he fell in love with the female lead at first sight.
The second male lead met the female lead first, but she was still naive and had just completed her cultivation, unaware of the ways of the world. The second male lead sent her to a cave to cultivate with his younger brother, the male lead. However, the male lead locked her up, turned her from a goddess into a demon, and even forced himself on her.
The female protagonist's mission in her previous life was to help the human race. After her birth, she demanded that You Yuan abdicate in favor of the Human Emperor and agree to marry him. You Yuan agreed, but his younger brother, the male protagonist, usurped the throne, stole the female protagonist, and killed her.
In his second life, he became a demon formed from miasma in a swamp. These demons held extremely low status, being the lowest of all demons. He diligently cultivated and achieved results, but was defeated in the war between demons and immortals. There, he encountered the female protagonist. The female protagonist had just finished forging a divine weapon to use against the male protagonist and wanted to experiment on You Yuan to see if it was successful. However, You Yuan fell in love with the female protagonist again, mustered the courage to confess, but was rejected. He thought of her for thousands of years, secretly following her when she descended to the mortal realm, not daring to disturb her, only to have the male protagonist beat him to it again...
Youyuan has been longing for her for thousands of years, but she has never dared to, suppressing and restraining her feelings. The female lead's repeated provocations in the early stages rekindled Youyuan's hope, only to abandon it again.
"Emperor Xin, Emperor Xin, Emperor Xin?"
I then came to my senses and asked cautiously, "Am I called Nüxin? Is the Nether Emperor Nüyuan?"
"Yes." The newcomer saw that Emperor Xin looked like he had been beaten senseless. Could it be that he had been driven mad? How was he going to explain this? Although Emperor Xin had been imprisoned and tortured by Emperor You, Emperor You's concern for Emperor Xin was known throughout the three realms. If anything went wrong, I wouldn't have enough heads to pay for it.
"Go tell Emperor You that I apologized." Will I be able to see You Yuan soon? I couldn't help but feel excited. In the novel, You Yuan is described as an unparalleled handsome man with long, glossy black hair. He always dresses himself perfectly and pays great attention to his appearance.
Now that Youyuan has become emperor and I am emperor, it seems we are already in the middle to late stages of the story. I remember that in this part, I married Youyuan to save the male lead and was imprisoned.
I vaguely remember it was because I secretly went to see the male lead again and got caught. During this period, Youyuan had already turned evil. Because of his uncertainty about me, I always humiliated and resisted him, which made him become more and more brutal.
