The Finale (Part 1)

In my hazy state, I seemed to see a white light again. Was I dreaming again?

"Wake up, I'm here. Didn't you say you'd wait for me?"

It was as if I could hear You's voice again.

I must be dreaming; only in dreams can one hear the ghostly voice.

"Wake up."

But the voice was so fervent that I couldn't help but open my eyes to see more clearly.

When I opened my eyes, I saw a familiar face.

It was truly enchanting. I was overjoyed, but I couldn't utter a single word.

Knowing I was weak, You quickly said, "You don't need to speak, I'll take you away first."

I nodded, feeling as if I suddenly had strength in my body, and looked at You with fervent eyes, not wanting to look away for even a second.

You led me through a smooth journey, but I felt uneasy. Would it really be this easy this time?

I watched as You and I were about to leave the Ruins of Return.

Liu Lieyu suddenly appeared directly in front of us. I grabbed You's collar, and I knew it wouldn't be that easy.

"Youyuan, where are you going?" Liu Lieyu's lips curled up, a smile that, as always, was repulsive.

"Get out of my way!" You hugged me tightly, her tone unfriendly.

Liu Lieyu laughed heartily; he seemed even more insane today.

“Youyuan, no, Dijun, brother.” Liu Lieyu chuckled softly, “You and I are also brothers of the same origin. After fighting for so many years, let’s settle things today.”

You carefully put me down, then created a protective barrier, and gently kissed my cheek. "Be good, wait for me."

After You put me down, she summoned the Hetu Luoshu and, without saying a word, launched a steady and ruthless attack on Liu Lieyu.

Liu Lieyu was naturally not to be outdone, and immediately summoned the Eastern Emperor Bell and stepped forward.

My body is no different from that of an ordinary person, so naturally I can't see the fight between the two clearly.

For a moment, all I could see were colorful fireworks exploding in the sky.

If it weren't for this critical moment, I would really like to enjoy the beauty of the fireworks.

The two fought from sunrise to sunset, and just when I was about to give up, I finally caught sight of You's figure.

You appeared to be injured; her usually neat hair was disheveled, and her clothes were in disarray.

The next second, the two began a new round of competition.

My vision became increasingly blurry, and I would always drift off to sleep for a while before waking up again.

Later, I was awakened by a loud noise. When I opened my eyes, I saw Liu Lieyu kneeling on the ground, his chest and chin covered in thick blood.

What happened? Was Liu Lieyu really defeated like that?

I was shocked and could hardly believe it.

Most importantly, the soul of Nü Xin inside the Soul-Hooking Jade is not completely sealed yet. Will Nü Xin wake up after Liu Lieyu dies?

The question I had in mind, You had naturally thought of as well.

From my perspective, You frowned, seemingly unable to believe that Liu Lieyu had been so seriously injured.

Liu Lieyu smiled and took out the Soul-Hooking Jade from his pocket, clutching it tightly in his hand. You saw this and was about to rush forward to snatch it.

Unfortunately, we were a step too slow.

Liu Lieyu released all his spiritual power and poured it into the Soul-Hooking Jade, seemingly determined to die so that he could see Nv Xin one last time before he died.

You wanted to step forward, but was blocked by Liu Lieyu's spiritual power and the two huge energies in the Soul-Hooking Jade.

Before I lost consciousness, I seemed to see that stunningly beautiful figure from behind.

Even just from the background, one can see that person's unparalleled independence and otherworldly demeanor.

I don't know how long I slept in the darkness, but when I woke up again, I found myself back in my own time.

I'm back?

I sat up in bed!

Mocha happily ran up to me and jumped into my arms. I gently stroked the puppy's fur.

I'm really back?

I pinched myself hard and realized it wasn't a dream.

I stayed at home in a daze for several days before I accepted that I had returned to my own time from another time and space.

I once frantically searched for the original book I had read, but I couldn't find it anywhere; it was as if it were all just a beautiful dream.

In reality, those long years were nothing more than a nap for me.

As time went by, my memories became increasingly hazy, and I vaguely felt that I had forgotten something.

But what have I forgotten?

I can't figure it out. As the days go by, I've become an ordinary college student again.

Every day, I carry my books and travel alone between my rented room and school. In reality, I don't like to communicate with people. I don't have any friends or relatives.

I've lived alone for many years.

"Hey, did you guys know? There's a handsome guy dressed in ancient costume at the school gate. His demeanor and looks are absolutely amazing!"

"Really?"

"Would I lie to you? You'll see for yourself."

"Come on, let me show you the picture!"

"Wow! So handsome! My God, I'm going to faint. He's even more handsome than the most popular idols. Is he even human? He must be a god."

I tilted my head. What were they talking about? Why were they so excited?

A handsome guy? The handsome guy at the school gate?

Never mind, it has nothing to do with me anyway.

Despite the surging crowd around me, I walked through the school gate with my hands in my pockets and headphones on, just like always.

But as I stepped through the school gate, a voice in my heart seemed to keep telling me to turn back, as if I would miss something important if I left.

I suppressed my unease and glanced back impatiently.

The first thing you see is the back of a man in ancient costume, with his jet-black hair hanging down to his waist. Even without turning around, his silhouette alone is enough to captivate the soul.

The man seemed to sense something and turned to meet my gaze.

My breath hitched, and memories flooded my mind.

How could this be?! How could You be here?!

When You saw me, her eyes shone with a light brighter than the stars. She walked towards me step by step, stopped in front of me, and whispered in my ear as always.

"My wife, I have lost all my magic power. I will have to rely on you to take care of me in this strange world."
