Volume 1 Chapter 436 Meeting in a Town
Since it was confirmed that Song Ziyan went to the town of Standing, Li Tian immediately rushed to the town of Standing.
In order to avoid being exposed by the sound of the car's engine and causing the town's defenders to attack with heavy firepower, Li Tian did not drive the military SUV into the town, but hid the car in an abandoned house outside the town.
He and Ye Lanxin got out of the car and walked into the town.
Walking into the town, what you see is a mess and ruins, with broken bricks and bullet holes everywhere. It is more like ruins than a town, giving you the same sense of déjà vu as in a post-apocalyptic movie. Occasionally, you can come across the wreckage of a car that has been burned to the point that only the shell is left, making this sense of the end of the world even more real and strong.
Ye Lanxin looked around and said, "It seems that there is no one."
"Pfft!"
Li Tian made a gesture to her to keep quiet.
He closed his eyes and listened carefully to the sounds around him. His hearing was extraordinary. When he listened attentively, he could hear the sound of a fly flapping its wings more than ten meters away.
The wind was blowing, carrying some sounds with it.
He opened his eyes, raised his hand and pointed in a direction: "There was a gunshot over there."
Gunshot?
Is there?
Ye Lanxin showed a suspicious expression on her face. The town was so quiet, where did the gunshot come from? She didn't hear anything at all.
"Walk."
Li Tian ran there first.
Whether it was Song Ziyan is another matter. If it was, time is life and he must get there as quickly as possible.
Ye Lanxin nodded and quickly followed, but when she looked up, she was stunned. Li Tian was nowhere to be seen. It was as if Li Tian had disappeared out of thin air.
She only felt a tingling sensation on her scalp. The speed of movement was simply too inhuman.
Of course, she was not panicked because Li Tian had dumped her. Li Tian had just pointed in a direction, and as long as she went in that direction, she would definitely meet Li Tian again.
Li Tian was like a ghost, shuttling back and forth in the ruined town.
It only took him a moment to reach the area where the gunfire occurred. He stood on the roof of a tall building, looking down at the situation below.
A group of black soldiers are spreading out to conduct a carpet search of the area, so they were chasing people just now, but now they are hiding.
Is it Song Ziyan?
Li Tian didn't see the person being chased and couldn't be sure, so he stood quietly on the roof of the building, closely scanning every corner of the area.
Suddenly, from under the wreckage of a car, a short and fat figure was struggling to climb out.
Although his body was covered with dust and his hair was full of dirt, like a miner who had just come out of a mine, Li Tian still recognized him at a glance. This was Song Ziyan's photographer.
He then jumped silently from the roof of the building and headed towards the photographer.
The photographer crawled out trembling with fear, his hands bleeding from being rubbed by the gravel on the ground, but he endured it without making a sound. He had just been chased by the Black Army, bullets whizzed past his ears, and he thought he was going to be killed. Fortunately, God was kind to him and let him escape.
He had to leave the town, get back into his car on the road, and drive back to the evacuation base in order to survive.
He thought to himself: I am a speck of dust. No one can see me. No one can see me.
Even after crawling out from under the car, he didn't dare to stand up and continued to crawl forward. He even planned to crawl all the way out of the town, although he didn't know if he could do it.
As he was crawling, a pair of black military boots suddenly appeared in front of him.
The photographer's expression froze suddenly, and despair slowly appeared on his face.
"I shouldn't have come to this place, mother. I am an unfilial son. You will have to bury your son before you." He said this in fear and sorrow. It was obvious that he thought this was the Black Army and that his death had come.
Li Tian lowered his head and asked in a questioning tone: "Zhang Zhihui?"
Zhang Zhihui was stunned and raised his head in surprise. When he saw Li Tian, who was wearing a black combat uniform with the Chinese flag printed on his chest, he burst into tears of joy: "I am, I am, I am Zhang Zhihui!"
There is no doubt that these are not black troops, but people who are evacuating overseas Chinese from the base to rescue them.
When he meets people from his motherland, he feels more at home than ever before.
Li Tian reached out and pulled him up, and asked anxiously, "Where is Song Ziyan?"
Zhang Zhihui pointed ahead and said in shock: "We encountered the black army over there. They shot at us without saying a word. We had no choice but to run. In the panic, we got separated."
"Bang~" "Bang~"
At this moment, gunshots were heard nearby.
Zhang Zhihui was so frightened that he immediately squatted down with his head in his hands.
Li Tian looked up and saw that it was Ye Lanxin who had arrived and was engaging in a fight with the black army that was chasing Zhang Zhihui.
He originally wanted to help, but found that Ye Lanxin was able to handle it with ease. She alone suppressed the firepower of these black soldiers.
Ye Lanxin made use of the numerous shelters in the town and moved around flexibly, making it difficult for the black soldiers to figure out her position. Then she would suddenly appear and open fire.
In a short while, three black soldiers fell.
Two more realized something was wrong and tried to escape.
"Don't let them go, kill them all!" Li Tian shouted.
Ye Lanxin, who was about to stop, immediately fired two shots and killed the black soldier who turned around and fled.
In order to avoid being shot, Ye Lanxin looked around again, then stepped forward to confirm that the five black soldiers were indeed dead before running back to Li Tian.
"A total of five black soldiers have been killed." Ye Lanxin reported to Li Tianhui.
Li Tian nodded: "Very good."
Zhang Zhihui stood up and saw that the black soldiers who had just chased him were lying on the ground. He breathed a sigh of relief and felt an endless sense of security.
"Thank you, thank you!"
"Take me to find Song Ziyan." Li Tian grabbed his shoulders and half-lifted him.
"Okay, okay." Zhang Zhihui nodded like a chick pecking at rice.
…
In the northwest corner of the town of Standing, Song Ziyan hid in fear behind a broken wall, trembling.
She was wearing a vest and shorts. Her slender waist, which was not even as thin as a hand, and her long legs were very eye-catching. She looked out of place in the ruined town. Or, in other words, she was like a beautiful landscape in the dilapidated town.
She didn't dress like that on purpose; she did it to look better on camera; she was reporting on this place.
However, they never expected to encounter the black army that attacked them without saying a word.
" !"
An excited voice suddenly sounded, speaking in Mandarin X.
Song Ziyan turned her head and saw that a dark-skinned black soldier had discovered her and was shouting excitedly at his companions.
Not long after, five more black soldiers appeared and slowly surrounded her with lewd smiles on their faces.
"I am a Chinese journalist. If you dare to hurt me, our army will destroy this place!"
Song Ziyan's eyes turned red and she was extremely frightened, but she took a deep breath and warned them in fluent English, hoping to scare the six black soldiers.
