Volume 1 Chapter 593 Giant Snake
Li Tian and his three companions headed in the direction Chen Hesheng left.
Before my eyes was an endless sea of forest, lush and green, densely packed in layers, blocking my view.
Towering trees appear one after another, some with gigantic root systems that twist and turn like dragons, emerging from the ground and creating a great visual impact.
"Why does the forest in Taihang Mountain look so scary?"
Zhou Ye frowned, feeling a little frightened. This was the first time he had seen such a primitive and dense forest since he was a child. Some of the trees were so tall that they seemed to reach into the clouds. The diameter of the trees was at least four or five meters.
"Be careful, I feel like there's something wrong with this forest." Zhou Ren looked around vigilantly. To be honest, his hair stood on end. This forest was a bit scary.
Hearing this, Zhou Ye laughed and said, "What are you afraid of? Are there any ferocious beasts here? I have never heard of wolves, tigers and leopards in Taihang Mountains."
"Stop laughing, it's always better to be careful."
Zhou Ren scolded Zhou Ye, and then ordered Li Tiandao, "You fool, go ahead!"
Li Tian said nothing, just looked at him calmly without moving.
Zhou Ren showed a ferocious expression: "What are you looking at? I asked you to go in front and you have an objection or something, believe it or not, I will cut you."
He stopped talking, clenched his fists, and made a gesture to hit.
Zhou Ye also stared at Li Tian viciously. They were brothers and wore the same pair of pants.
Peng Hao was worried that Li Tian would be beaten up by the two brothers, so he quickly said, "Li Yi, if Brother Ren tells you to go in front, then go in front. You are new here, and newcomers have to listen to us old people, okay?"
Li Tian had a good impression of Peng Hao. He listened to what he said, and in order to support his family and earn enough money to spend on his woman, he could endure any frustration at work.
So, without saying a word, he walked to the front of the team.
"Look at how frightened he is." Zhou Ren joked with Zhou Ye with a smile.
Zhou Ye: “Haha…”
Peng Hao also pretended to laugh happily.
"Little Mouse, you go second." Zhou Ren said.
Peng Hao was stunned, and then he couldn't help cursing in his heart, "I! @#¥%...", but he didn't dare to disobey Zhou Ren's wishes.
"Okay Ren."
He agreed with a smile and followed Li Tian.
Zhou Ye and Zhou Ren are a pair of bullies. He has no relatives or friends here, so he can only be bullied.
Everyone knows that if there is danger, the one walking in front will be the first to suffer, while the ones at the back can turn around and run away. These two brothers are really bad guys.
…
The beautiful trees and luxuriant groves seem endless.
The four of them walked for about ten minutes, but there was no sign of assistant director Chen Hesheng or the stagehand.
"Where is Director Chen?" Zhou Ye searched around, hoping to find Chen Hesheng.
But there were nothing but trees all around, and farther away, it was pitch black. This was because the forest covered the ground, blocking out the sunlight.
"Is there no signal around here? So Director Chen has to go somewhere farther away." Zhou Ren took out his cell phone, looked at the signal bar, and found that there was still no service.
So in order to find the signal, Chen Hesheng must have walked further.
Several people continued to move forward.
After walking for another ten minutes, we arrived in front of a small waterfall.
It was a high rock wall, with a cluster of clear springs pouring down, forming a small waterfall, and the water mist floating in the air. There happened to be no trees here, and when the sun shone, a rainbow was reflected, and a few colorful butterflies were flying in the sky.
"Wow, what a view."
Peng Hao was stunned. The scenery was so breathtakingly beautiful that it gave him a huge visual impact.
"Bullshit, we walked such a long way and didn't even see Director Chen. How are we going to report to the foreman when we get back?" Zhou Ren had no time to appreciate the beautiful scenery.
"Let's drink some water first. Damn, I'm so thirsty." Zhou Ye ignored everything and walked towards the small waterfall.
I didn't bring any water when I came out, thinking Chen Hesheng would be nearby. But after walking so far, I was extremely thirsty.
Zhou Ren followed.
Peng Hao exchanged glances with Li Tian, meaning that they should go drink some water together. Anyway, he didn't dare to get too close to Li Tian, for fear of being isolated and targeted by Zhou Ye and Zhou Ren.
Li Tian sniffed the air and smelled a fishy odor, which was relatively faint and hard to describe, but it was definitely there.
He looked around and found nothing unusual, so he walked towards the small waterfall.
The water of the small waterfall was extremely clear, with almost no impurities visible to the naked eye. Zhou Ye and Zhou Ren lay down beside the pool and drank it without saying a word.
Peng Hao was also ready to lie down and drink.
Li Tian quickly stopped them: "The water only looks clear. Wild water may contain a large number of strange insect eggs. Don't drink it."
This knowledge emerged automatically in his mind. Before he lost his memory, he really liked watching wilderness survival programs. He almost never missed a single episode. He had a complete wilderness survival action guide in his mind.
Parasitic worm eggs?
This gave Peng Hao a big shock.
Upon hearing this, brothers Zhou Ye and Zhou Ren couldn't help but laugh.
"This is mountain spring water, and it contains the eggs of a chicken tyrant worm."
"I drink mountain spring water in my hometown. I have been drinking it raw since I was a child. If you say so, I would have been full of parasites long ago."
The two brothers spoke coldly and mocked each other.
Li Tian ignored them and pulled Peng Hao to a nearby smooth mountain wall. The surface of the mountain wall was wet and a lot of water was dripping down.
"Drink the water here." Li Tian said.
Peng Hao didn't know whether to laugh or cry: "What's the difference between this water and the water over the waterfall?"
Li Tian said calmly: "Although it is all wild water, the water here has been filtered through the soil, plant roots and rocks, and is completely different from the water over there."
Looking at Li Tian's calm eyes, Peng Hao was stunned. He always felt that this man had an extraordinary past.
"Hahaha... little mouse, you wouldn't really believe what the prankster said, right? Not to mention that there are no parasites, even if there are, just go home and take some medicine and it will be solved. There's nothing to be afraid of." Zhou Ye laughed and didn't take it seriously.
Zhou Ren had a big smile on his face. He squatted by the pond, scooped some water to wash his face and neck, and relieve the stuffiness in his body.
After much deliberation and weighing the pros and cons, Peng Hao decided that it would be safer and more beneficial for him to side with Zhou Ye and Zhou Ren.
"Brother Ye and Brother Ren are right. What's wrong with drinking mountain spring water?"
Just as he was about to join Zhou Ye and Zhou Ren's camp and distance himself from Li Tian, there was a sudden commotion above the rock wall of the small waterfall, and countless rocks rolled down. Then, a huge snake head appeared from the top of the rock wall, as big as a truck.
Peng Hao's pupils shrank and his legs suddenly became unable to move. He looked at the giant snake with his whole body trembling, his face pale and cold sweat pouring down.
"Snake...snake..."
He said with a trembling voice.
Zhou Ye and Zhou Ren thought to themselves, you little mouse are so timid that you get so scared just by seeing a snake.
The two of them turned around excitedly to see what kind of snake it was, which frightened Peng Hao so much that his face turned pale. When he looked up, they both froze on the spot like sculptures, with every hair on their body standing on end.
The giant snake revealed a section of its body, and it was on top of the rock wall, looking down at them from above. Its eyes, as big as water basins, emitted a faint green light...
