Su Diandian abandoned Shan Yunting and ran to the spot where the upside-down statue had been.
Wow, this thing with stone legs can actually run?
"You little pig, where are you spying on your great-aunt? Get out here right now!"
Su Diandian shouted loudly, "Hey hey hey, little pig, you haven't been scared out of your wits by your great-aunt, have you?"
"Or are you, little pig, ashamed enough to be embarrassed to be seen without clothes on?"
"Ha ha ha ha……"
Before Su Diandian's laughter had even subsided, Shan Yunting had already regained his senses.
He scrambled to his feet and shook his head. "Wife, what happened? What happened here?"
Su Diandian didn't take it seriously. "It's nothing. We just took off the clothes of the ancient god statue and shared them. Then the statue ran away in embarrassment."
“I see…” Shan Yunting walked to her side and stood back to back with her. “My wife, that ancient god is probably watching us from the shadows.”
Su Diandian responded loudly, "Look! Aren't our faces meant to be looked at?"
"Oh no, it's not a person, it's a small breeding pig."
Shan Yun chuckled, "My wife is right."
As soon as he finished speaking, he noticed fine particles of soil falling down in front of him.
"Up there," Shan Yunting whispered to Su Diandian.
Su Diandian hummed in agreement.
The two looked up at the same time and sure enough, they saw the statue clinging to the cave ceiling like a gecko.
"Wow, what's this thing made of? It's surprisingly flexible when it moves," Su Diandian exclaimed.
Shan Yunting explained in a gentle voice, "Perhaps the remnant soul of an ancient god is attached to a white jade statue, driving the statue to move."
"This thing doesn't seem like a god, it's more like a lunatic," Su Diandian commented.
She looked at it from left to right and felt that it didn't look like a god at all.
"Those who are useful are gods; those who are useless and only cause trouble are monsters!"
Upon hearing her say this, the statue angrily broke free of her grasp and smashed down on her.
Su Diandian dodged to the side, giggling, "Oh my, you guessed it! I'm all defenseless!"
"Damn it, you deserve to die!" The statue rose from the ground and chased after her.
As Su Diandian ran, she complained, "Ancient God, huh? Turns out, all he's got is this much ability."
"What do you know! What do you know?" The statue trembled all over. "Power, my power is distributed throughout the entire forest."
"Spiritual power? Don't even think about using spiritual power here!"
Listening to these fragments of words, Su Diandian pieced together some of the truth.
The ancient god is nearing the end of his life and is hiding in this forest.
Fearing complete annihilation after death, it used its last strength to set up a formation in the forest, making it a safe place.
Even if a cultivator enters, they will become an ordinary person without spiritual power.
No matter how strong an ordinary person is, they cannot defeat the remnant soul of a god.
But what kind of god is this?
It's utter bullshit!

The statue, draped in clothing, stood motionless.
But the annoying voice was still there, and she sobbed, "He said he would love me for all eternity."
Su Diandian retorted, "A man's vows are like bullshit. They're loud and smelly when they're first made, but you can't smell them anymore."
"My wife... my vow will never change." Shan Yunting leaned closer.
Su Diandian rolled her eyes at him and didn't reply.
The voice of the ancient god drifted over again, "He said that he and the Flower Goddess were controlled by illusions, which is why they did those things."
"Then, I killed him, and I killed myself."
"After killing myself, I regretted it so much... so much..."
"I just want to prove that there are people in this world who are not controlled by the illusion of desire."
Su Diandian quickly retorted, "Look at your incoherent words, it's obvious you have something wrong with your brain."
"Who cares if it's being controlled? If it's dirty, we just won't take it."
"There are countless male gods in the world, and there's bound to be one that belongs to you."
The ancient god made no further sound, and the motionless statue remained completely still.
Su Diandian looked at Shan Yunting, "What does she mean by this? Is she asleep or dead?"
Shan Yunting shook his head and didn't say anything.
Su Diandian waved her hand in front of the statue, "Hey, don't just stand there, at least get us out of this hellhole."
"Mortal, you have proven that there are people in this world who can resist that burning desire... I, the god, will give you a gift..."
The statue, which had been silent for a long time, spoke again, followed by a burst of white light leaping out of it.
After the white light appeared, Su Diandian felt an urge to worship it.
Shan Yunting was astonished, "A godhood, it's actually a godhood."
Su Diandian asked, puzzled, "What is a divine spark?"
“Ancient texts record that divinity is the mark of a god; only those who possess this can be considered gods,” Shan Yunting explained.
Su Diandian stroked her chin. "I understand."
