With quick reflexes, Su Diandian flicked the spear and axe away with two fingers before looking up at the newcomer.
It turned out to be a soldier completely covered in armor.
"Foreigners, quick, Klaus, come quick! Capture them and take them to the slave market to exchange for gold coins."
Upon hearing this unfamiliar yet familiar Western language, Su Diandian was completely stunned.
Damn, this is actually the Western magical world.
Chu Xingze couldn't understand the language of the Western magical world, so he nestled in Su Diandian's arms and whispered, "What are they saying in their gibberish?"
Su Diandian chuckled twice before explaining, "Unfortunately, we've ended up in the Western magical world, and they plan to capture us and sell us into slavery."
As soon as he finished speaking, two spears and axes came thrusting at him.
Su Diandian, carrying Chu Xingze, dodged backward and shouted in the language of the Western magical world, "Don't come any closer, or I'll kill you all."
The two soldiers paid no heed and charged straight at them with their spears and axes.
Well, at least I gave you a heads-up first.
Then don't blame her for being impolite.
"Brother Lei, chop it down!"
As Su Diandian's voice fell, purple-gold lightning burst forth from her body, slashing towards the spears and axes of the two soldiers.
In the blink of an eye, the two collapsed.
Chu Xingze asked with some concern, "What do we do now?"
"Let's go back to the barrier first, but the barrier should have been repaired, otherwise Lan An wouldn't have brought us here." Su Diandian was about to leave when she found she couldn't move.
Looking down, she saw that Xiao Zuo had actually crawled out of the storage bag and was pulling her to the side by tightly tugging at her belt.
Su Diandian asked in confusion, "Xiao Zuo? You mean, I'll go with you?"
Xiao Zuo twitched his thumb to indicate his response.
After a moment's thought, Su Diandian said, "Alright, since we're already in the Western magical world, we should at least go and see what's interesting, right?"
After saying that, she looked at Chu Xingze again, "Are you feeling better? Can you walk by yourself?"
Chu Xingze bit his lower lip as he looked at her without saying a word.
Okay, got it.
Su Diandian sighed inwardly and silently carried the person on her back.
Now that she's in the Western magical world, Chu Xingze could be considered half a fellow townsman of hers.
There's nothing wrong with fellow villagers spoiling each other.
Besides, this guy is a spoiled little bastard who cries easily in private.
Su Diandian had only taken a few steps with the person on her back when a blonde, blue-eyed girl rushed out in front of her.
The girl ran towards her, gesturing and shouting, "Hurry, hide! Hurry, hide!"
Just as Su Diandian was about to ask a question, she saw two heavily armored soldiers approaching from a distance.
Beside the soldier was a middle-aged man dressed in a black robe and holding a magic wand.
"Halt!" The soldiers had spotted them.
The middle-aged man waved his magic wand: "Guardians of Water, heed my command! Water element, surge forth!"
A giant water bubble appeared on the magic wand.
The water bubbles completely enveloped both the blonde, blue-eyed girl and Su Diandian.
The soldier exclaimed, "Oh, great apprentice magician Allen, thanks to you!"
"These three criminals are all doomed; your magic is truly amazing."
So awkward and so cringeworthy.
Su Diandian's lips twitched slightly as she whispered to the blonde girl beside her, "Are they arresting you or us?"
The blonde girl blushed. "Arrest me too."
Su Diandian then asked, "Okay, what's your name?"
“Lydia.” The blonde girl’s eyes were filled with panic. “Help me! I am the princess of the Kingdom of Avalon. Help me, and I will reward you with many gold coins.”
No, it's really a bit...
Is it a sign of being a chuunibyou (a person with delusions of grandeur)? Or something else entirely?
Su Diandian wanted to laugh, but she held it in.
Apprentice mage Allen and two soldiers had arrived.
"Two female slaves can fetch a lot of gold coins, oh... and a handsome man too."
Apprentice mage Allen stared intently at Chu Xingze. "Hall, De, leave this handsome alien man to me."
The two soldiers exchanged a glance and burst into laughter: "Of course, you are great, apprentice mage."
I understand now. This lousy magician has taken a liking to Chu Xingze.
The two soldiers intended to sell her and Lydia to the slave market.
In short, these three don't look like good people.
Su Diandian narrowed her eyes. "If you don't want to die, get out of here."
"Hahahaha..." The soldiers and mages burst into laughter. "This alien woman is really funny. She actually told us to get lost."
"Fine, I've given you your chance. If you don't leave, then die."
Su Diandian was already in a terrible mood, and now someone had to come and get themselves killed.
The two soldiers laughed wildly, "Great Lord Allen, quickly show this alien woman your power!"
The apprentice magician, Allen, waved his magic wand triumphantly, "Alien woman, you'll regret this soon!"
"Water..."
As soon as he began chanting, an iron shovel easily shattered the water bubbles, taking his life instantly.
Su Diandian scoffed, "I told you long ago, Western magic has too long a setup time."
This sudden change left the two soldiers stunned.
If it weren't for the helmets covering their heads, their deathly pale faces would have been visible.
"No...no way? Apprentice mage Allen is dead!"
"A witch! An evil witch!"
The two of them took off running.
Su Diandian called out, "Tiezi, kill them all."
The shovel flashed out, and with one shovelful, they were all wiped out.
Lydia stared wide-eyed at the three people who had turned into corpses in the blink of an eye, her eyes nearly popping out of their sockets in shock.
“Oh, you are even more powerful than the dragon knight Langley. I want to hire you as my servant.”
Su Diandian gave her a cold look. "Not interested."
“I can give you three hundred gold coins,” Lydia held up three fingers, “if you can take me back to Avalon!”
Su Diandian ignored her and stood aside watching the shovel dig a hole in the beach.
Not long after, a large pit appeared.
Including the two who had just died, a total of five corpses were thrown in and buried.
After finishing all that, Su Diandian turned around and walked towards the other side of the beach with Chu Xingze on her back.
Lydia followed behind her, chattering on and on, "Five hundred gold coins, how about five hundred gold coins?"
“One thousand, I can give you one thousand gold coins.”
Su Diandian turned her head to look at her, "You're so noisy. Besides, I really have no interest in gold coins."
Lydia was shocked, gesturing wildly with her hands. "Impossible, no one can dislike gold coins."
"Hehe..." Su Diandian laughed awkwardly, "If it were anywhere else, I would still quite like gold coins, but it just so happens to be here."
"But I don't know where to go anyway. What's your house called again? Ah... Avalon, right? I'll go with you."
Upon hearing this, Lydia was overjoyed. "Then we need to hurry. At our pace, it will take at least three or four days to get here."
"Three or four days?" Su Diandian looked up at her. "Which direction is Avalon in?"
Lydia pointed to the left, "Over there, the Kingdom of Avalon is over there. Let's hurry and try to make it in three days..."
"Stop arguing."
Su Diandian interrupted her, freeing one hand to grab the back of her neck and lift her straight into the air.
