"Alright, I'll go first!" Ye Yao glanced at Zhuang Yu'er and Shuang Yunyun behind her, said hello, and then led Lin Chen directly into the trial grounds.
"The first trial of compatibility will be challenged by Ye Yao, a new disciple from the Third Holy Academy, and her companion beast Lin Chen!"
"Goddess Ye Yao is here too, oh my god!"
"This is a perfect opportunity for me to witness the power of that special spirit cat from last time!"
The other disciples who were still waiting for the trial immediately surrounded Ye Yao upon hearing her name, looking at Ye Yao and Lin Chen inside the blue barrier.
Lin Chen didn't seem to care much. He simply jumped down and lay down to the side, showing no intention of fighting.
Combat? Leave that to my companion beast!

"That cat on stage is hilarious! It just lay down to the side, showing absolutely no intention of fighting alongside Goddess Ye Yao!"

"Roar!" A roar rang out.
A giant bear, tall and entirely black, slowly walked in from the entrance.
A low-level spirit beast, the Dark Earth Bear!
"Thank goodness, it's just a low-level spirit beast!" Ye Yao glanced at the Dark Earth Bear and breathed a sigh of relief.
If it were just a low-level spirit beast, I could handle it.
Lin Chen remained silent.
Ye Yao could easily handle a low-level spirit beast!
