Chapter 56 Two Batches (1/2)

The opposing force consisted of only ten people, yet they possessed an aura capable of sweeping away thousands of troops.

Even the seemingly indestructible prison door was blown open by a dark, indistinct object.

The petite woman looked at Grand Tutor Cheng with anger and helplessness, gritting her teeth as she said, "You tell me, how many groups of people did you invite to rescue you! Who exactly are those powerful figures outside who are capable of killing anyone in their way!"

"I...I don't know..." Grand Tutor Cheng had no idea what had happened.

The man grew increasingly anxious: "They're almost at the door!"

"There's a passage leading to the sky through the back door of the prison. We can escape using our light-footed skills, but taking Grand Tutor Cheng with us is definitely not an option. What should we do? Their weapons are too terrifying; we're both doomed!"

"Our master instructed us to rescue Grand Tutor Cheng, we..."

The man's eyes were filled with anxiety, clearly shocked by those terrifying weapons.

The petite woman swept her cold gaze across the gate, then looked at the bewildered and terrified Grand Tutor Cheng, and gritted her teeth, saying, "I can't take them anymore, damn it! It's too late!"

"Everyone, move!"

"The group of people over there are also here for Grand Tutor Cheng. They probably won't hurt him. Let's leave first and decide what to do later!"

Grand Tutor Cheng stared blankly as the petite woman abandoned him and ran away.

Immediately afterwards, a group of masked men in black appeared out of nowhere and rushed toward the back door of the prison at great speed, disappearing in the blink of an eye.

What's going on here?

Grand Tutor Cheng stood in the center looking disheveled until a series of loud bangs and screams came from outside the door. Only then did he snap out of his daze and quickly find a corner to hide in.

"Boom—"

A deafening roar resounded throughout.

The ground trembled, and more than a dozen prison guards were blasted away by a tremendous force. Those seriously injured had their limbs severed, and they screamed in agony, "Ahhh!! My hands, my hands!"

"This is terrifying, boss! The weapons these people are carrying are simply beyond what any human could withstand!"

"Hold on a little longer. With such a commotion here, the Imperial Guards will be here soon."

The boss had barely finished speaking when a bloody hole suddenly appeared on his forehead, and his eyes widened in shock.

Blood splattered onto the face of the prison guard opposite.

The prison guard's heart stopped. He wiped his face, looked up, and his shocked gaze met that of his boss lying in a pool of blood. His death was sudden and unbearable.

That's the feeling!

This feeling of powerlessness, being out of control, being unable to grasp the truth, and being filled with fear in one's very soul.

The prison guards backed away in fear.

As he retreated, he immediately spotted Grand Tutor Cheng hiding in the corner. He didn't know what he was thinking, but he instinctively rushed over.

The moment Black Rat and his gang stormed in, the prison guard held a knife to Cheng Taifu's neck, trembling as he threatened, "Stop! Don't come any closer! If you do, I'll kill him."

"Who exactly are you people, daring to break someone out of prison in the capital?"

"I, I'm telling you... the Embroidered Uniform Guard is coming soon! I advise you to lay down your weapons immediately, surrender, and perhaps His Majesty will be merciful and spare your lives."

Grand Tutor Cheng stared at the black rat's face with trepidation.

Then, slowly turning his eyes to look at the weapon in the black rat's hand, his mind went blank again.

Am I dreaming?

Isn't this Zhou Cheng's bodyguard?

How did I end up here?!

"Young Master, he has taken Grand Tutor Cheng hostage, what should we do...?" Black Rat's pupils shrank upon seeing this, and his palms sweated as he asked Zhou Cheng, who was standing at the back.

You can answer him.

It was a sudden, loud gunshot.
