Chapter 86: Willing but Powerless
The refugees fled all the way and only when they reached the mountains and forests did they rest.
Ye Li scratched his head of dry grass, feeling extremely annoyed. Why did he come here? Xiao Mu and Xi Xi were still waiting for him at home.
"Young man," the woman next to him suddenly asked.
"Ah?" Ye Li was stunned for a moment, then she realized that she had short hair like a chicken coop and was wearing men's clothes. No wonder the woman next to her mistook her for her.

"Thank you, thank you," the woman took it with tears of gratitude. She tore open the paper wrapper of the bread and began to eat it voraciously. After eating the bread, her strength recovered a little. Then she tore the remaining bread into small pieces and fed them to the child in her arms.
Ye Li smiled, picked up his backpack, and walked around to check the route so that he could fall behind and return to the safe house when no one was paying attention.
Ye Li walked out of the woods and came to a road. Ye Li raised his hands to cover his eyes and looked towards the end of the road. This road seemed to be heading towards the city, so it should be right to go this way.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" Suddenly, a man walked out of the woods and warned, "You are alone. Don't get separated from the main group. Otherwise, if you encounter zombies, no one will help you."
Ye Li nodded, turned and walked towards the group of refugees in the woods.
I had just taken two steps into the woods when I suddenly heard a faint cry for help, "Help, no, wuwu——"
Ye Li stopped and hid behind a tree, secretly looking in the direction where the sound came from.
A group of people were doing indecent things to a girl. The girl struggled violently but couldn't get free. Even her mouth was covered, and she could only shed useless tears.
Things like this should happen frequently in the end times.
Ye Li gripped the fire hammer in his hand. There were five people on the other side, all of them were strong men, and the difference in strength was too great.
She wanted to help, but she was powerless.
"Mmmmm..." The girl struggled muffledly.
Ye Li suddenly had an idea. She ran in the opposite direction and then ran away in panic, shouting, "Run! There are zombies coming, a huge group of them! Help!"

The girl got up from the ground, put on her clothes, wiped her tears, and did not run for her life.
"Are you okay?" Ye Li ran over and asked breathlessly.
The girl looked behind Ye Li and asked with tears in her eyes, "Are there any zombies coming?"
"No," Ye Li shook his head and said, "I just wanted to scare away those five people."
Tears streamed down the girl's eyes, and she cried, "Thank you, if it weren't for you, I, I..."
"It's okay, it's okay," Ye Li comforted her, "Do you have any family? I'll go with you to find them. You should just follow the main group first. Don't wander around alone next time."
