"I met a little girl named Xixi. She said she was separated from her mother and begged me to help her find her mother, so we came here."

Ye Li and Xiao Xun put on masks, disguised themselves as ordinary Taya people, and left the bridal chamber.
The two men walked directly towards the cage at the open-air altar. Since they saw the person locked in the cage, they couldn't just ignore it, especially since there were people Ye Li and the others knew in the cage.
