Chapter 542: Chasing
Ye Li observed the situation in the kitchen for a while, picked up a knife beside him, and chopped it hard at Professor Lin's head.
However, Professor Lin was a newly mutated zombie, and his body was not like those zombies in the apocalypse. His skull was as rotten as dead wood, and the knife could be easily cut into it. Ye Li chopped at it, and the knife in his hand was stuck.
Professor Lin reacted, opened his hands to grab Ye Li's arms, and bit them again.

With a swish, Professor Lin's hair and clothes instantly caught fire, and he stretched out his hands and pounced on Ye Li.
Ye Li immediately escaped from the kitchen, closed the kitchen door, and blocked it with something so that "Professor Lin" inside could not come out. This way, the fire would not kill "Professor Lin", but would give her a chance to escape.
Unable to stay here any longer, Ye Li turned and walked towards the lounge, ready to pack up and leave.
Suddenly, something flew towards her. Ye Li's heart skipped a beat and she subconsciously reached out to block it. The thing bit her hand. She quickly threw the thing to the ground and saw clearly that it was the little white mouse used by Professor Lin in his experiments.

The little white mouse was about to attack Ye Li, but Ye Li picked up a stool beside him and smashed the little white mouse to death with it.

She and the others walked to Professor Lin's workbench and checked Professor Lin's antidote test products.
There were two test tubes on the shelf where Professor Lin was developing the antidote, and an unused new syringe was placed on the workbench next to it, and the packaging had been torn open.
Professor Lin had planned to conduct the next physical experiment, but before he could do so, he himself was infected with the virus.

The laboratory was left in silence. From time to time, there was a horrible sound of banging doors coming from the kitchen, again and again. There was a problem with the light circuit, and it flickered. Many sealed glass boxes were stained red with blood.
After an unknown amount of time, Ye Li slowly regained consciousness. She opened her eyes and found herself still in the laboratory. She touched herself again and found that everything was fine. She had not turned into a zombie.
The medicine actually worked!
Ye Li supported herself on the floor and stood up. There was still some medicine left in the test tube on the shelf. She put the medicine into a glass bottle along with the test tube. Then she sorted out Professor Lin's scientific research materials and packed them in her backpack.
Professor Lin has now become a zombie and can no longer conduct scientific research.
After Xiao Xun came back, they took the antidote samples and information and went to find someone who knew about it to make the antidote.
Although she didn't turn into a zombie, the wound on the back of her hand still hurt. She breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, the antidote worked! Otherwise, she really didn't know what to do.
Suddenly, there was a noise at the lab door. Ye Li paused and looked towards it. It sounded like someone prying the door open. Could it be Xiao Xun and the others returning? Ye Li turned around, opened Professor Lin's computer, and pulled up the surveillance video. He was stunned to see the lab door crammed with heavily armed men. They were the rebels.
They chased us here!
