Chapter 41 Return to the Safe House
Ye Li pointed and said, "I saw a restroom in the direction we just came from. It might not be usable properly, but at least it's usable."
Qi Yuanchuan said with a cold face: "You guys scout the way here, I'll go with her."
"Yes." The team members all smiled.
Ye Li was accompanied by Qi Yuanchuan to the bathroom.
Qi Yuanchuan personally took the lead and checked the bathroom. Only after confirming that there were no zombies did he let Ye Li in.
"Wait a minute, do you have paper?" Ye Li asked with a slightly strange look on his face.
"Uh," Qi Yuanchuan was silent for a moment, then said, "No."
"Then I'll go find some paper first," Ye Li walked out of the bathroom, and Qi Yuanchuan followed and said, "I can help you find it."
"I'd better do this myself. It's embarrassing." Ye Li pushed Qi Yuanchuan and asked him to stand at the door of the bathroom. "Just wait here for me. I just came over and saw an office with a lot of papers. I'll be back soon."
"Okay." Qi Yuanchuan agreed and stood there waiting for Ye Li obediently.
Ye Li turned around and smiled, then walked forward, looking in each office.
Qi Yuanchuan stood on the corridor, watching Ye Li's figure, just in case she encountered any danger.
But why did he enter that room and never come out? And why was there no movement?
Qi Yuanchuan walked towards the room that Ye Li entered curiously. When he reached the door, he found that this room led to another room. That room had an exit leading to the corridor on the other side. It seemed that Ye Li left from here.
"Ye Li? Ye Li?" Qi Yuanchuan sensed something was wrong. He quickened his pace and walked towards the direction where Ye Li might have left. When he reached another corridor, there was no sign of Ye Li at all.
Qi Yuanchuan was shocked to realize that Ye Li was just making up an excuse to have a stomachache! They had all been fooled!
Damn it! Qi Yuanchuan slammed his fist against the wall. No one had ever played tricks on him like Ye Li did before!
Qi Yuanchuan strode back to his teammates.
"Huh? Why isn't Miss Ye here?"
"We were all deceived. She said she had a stomachache and she just wanted to get rid of us."
"What?" The teammates couldn't believe it. "She doesn't look like a bad person to me. Captain, did you get too mean to her? Did you make Miss Ye run away?"
"No," Qi Yuanchuan's face was cold, and the air around him was extremely tense.
His teammates quickly shut up and didn't dare pull Tiger's beard anymore.
"Let's look around," Qi Yuanchuan said, "No matter what, we have to find out what she's up to!"

After Ye Li shook off Qi Yuanchuan, he ran downstairs and after running across a block, he arrived at the real building where the safe house was located.
She entered the elevator, inserted the key, and the elevator went up to the 48th floor. Then Ye Li went up in a secret elevator and returned to the safe house.
As soon as the elevator door opened, Ye Li immediately saw his two children waiting at the elevator door.
"Xiaomu, Xixi!" Ye Li's tears burst out. She rushed over and hugged Xiaomu and Xixi in her arms.
"Mom!" Xiaomu and Xixi were also frightened. They threw themselves into Ye Li's arms and cried loudly.
"It's Mommy's fault! Mommy shouldn't have gone out and left you at home."
"Wow..." Xiao Mu wiped his tears and said in a baby voice, "Don't worry, Mommy, I took good care of my sister. We ate everything you put in the incubator and she didn't vomit."
"Xiao Mu is so good!" Ye Li touched Xiao Mu's face.
"Mom, I was very good too. I didn't even cry."
"Okay, I know. I know Xixi has always been very brave."
Ye Li picked up her daughter Xixi and took her son into the house.
"Come with Mommy. I'm going to take you out to see a doctor later. You have to listen to Mommy, okay?"
