Chapter 14 Egoism

Chapter 14 Egoism

She was born to be pampered. She would never take a part-time job. She was afraid of being tired and hard-working, but she loved shopping.

To put it bluntly, it is materialism and selfishness.

When I was a child, I loved watching idol dramas and often imagined that I was the beautiful and rich female supporting role in the dramas. I could buy whatever I wanted, and men would only stop me from spending money. That was when my desire for money began to show.

When she grew up, she was shopping in boutiques on the corner where the average price was only a few dozen yuan, while someone was already in the newly built shopping mall across the street, in a dazzling array of luxury jewelry stores, being surrounded and fawned over by staff members. Under the candlelight, the tall, handsome, and dazzling man was the center of attention, spending money that she probably could not earn in her lifetime. This road was like a chasm, blocking her steps, and she truly felt the class gap.

She couldn't help but think that after graduating from college, she should wear an expensive professional suit, sit in her own office, enjoy the air conditioning, look out at the river district, occasionally touch up her lipstick, and have someone pour her coffee or massage her back and legs when she waved.

Now that she thought about it, it seemed like she was halfway there. She was indeed now in the most magnificent building in the capital, with air conditioning and a view of the river district, but she was just the one pouring coffee and massaging other people's backs and legs.

Han Siti came back to her senses and blinked her dry eyes.

"Even if I don't marry him, he will still buy me a bag."

Jin Yi's eyebrows lit up with joy. Just when he thought that the two of them would have some future, Han Siti said lightly, "After all, being your brother's secretary has good benefits."

"Alright, alright, I've given up." Jin Yi lay down on the bed, looking up at the ceiling and said, "Where's Jiang Xuan?"

Han Siti was confused: "What's wrong with him?"

"How do you feel about him?"

"What else can I feel? We're just classmates."

When the night is quiet and friends meet, they have endless topics to talk about.

"Jiang Xuan's family runs a toy factory. The factory is small and may not meet your expectations for a boyfriend." Jin Yi said.

Jiang Xuan had been pursuing her for two years. She had rejected him before, but he seemed to be determined not to turn back until he hit a wall.

Han Siti's lightly closed eyelashes trembled twice, and her mind went blank.

"Do you want to introduce him to me?" She turned over, put her hands on the quilt, and looked lazy.

Jin thought for a moment and said, "Since you're not interested in my brother, why don't you let my brother introduce you to someone? He's surrounded by elite men, who are many times better than the blind dates your mother asked you to go on."

"How can your brother have the time for that?" Don't expect a sarcastic remark when the time comes.

"I'll ask for you tomorrow."

"Ask him to introduce a handsome one. If he's not handsome, don't take him."

"Just wait."

“………”

We chatted until two in the morning last night. Han Siti set three alarms, but she was not affected at all. Instead, she woke up Jin Yi.

At seven o'clock in the Jin residence, the servants began to work. The air was filled with a layer of mist, making it seem a little damp.

After being woken up by Jin Yi, Han Siti scratched her messy hair and went to the bathroom to wash up. The whole process took ten minutes.

Grandma insisted on eating three meals a day, so Jin Yi didn't dare to sleep any longer. After they finished cleaning up, they went to the main hall to eat.

When I went downstairs, I met Wen Mu who also came out of the room.

Jin Yi was still unhappy with her because of what happened yesterday, so he didn't say hello.

"Good morning." Wen Mu thought about it and decided to build a good relationship with his future sister-in-law.

Jin Yi then raised a hypocritical smile: "Good morning, Sister Wen Mu."

"Didn't you sleep well last night?" Wen Mu saw the bruises under her eyes.

"Well, I haven't seen Dandan for a while, so I chatted for a while."

Wen Mu glanced at the girl next to him. Her face was glowing, without any rouge or makeup. The corners of her eyes were slightly raised, revealing a sense of charm. The corners of her mouth were smiling, and she looked very pure, like a fairy who was not of this world.

"Is Si Ti going to work today?" Wen Mu withdrew his gaze and spoke softly.

She smiled and nodded when she heard that: "Yes."

"Why don't you come with me? I'm going to school and it's just on my way." After she finished speaking, she turned to Jin Huaian and said, "Huai Nian, can you give us a ride?"

With so many people here, Wen Mu thought he wouldn't refuse.

Jin Yi murmured calmly: "She was going to take my brother's car anyway."

Wen Mu didn't hear this sentence clearly.

Jin Huainian hadn't said anything yet, but Han Siti curved her eyes and smiled, looking charming and graceful.

Said: "Thank you."

For a moment, it dazzled her.

After going down the stairs, Han Siti raised her eyes and met the man sitting on the sofa for a moment, and the next second, she calmly looked away.

On the way to the main hall.

Jin Yi pulled her and walked in front.

"Brother, when will you and sister-in-law get engaged?" Jin Yi slowed down and asked suddenly.

Jin Huaian glanced at him coldly, his tone very calm, so calm that there was no ripple: "Is this something you should worry about?"

The woman blushed slightly.

"I'm just asking." Jin Yi touched his nose and said softly.

Han Siti asked sincerely, "Can I come to the banquet?"

Jin Yi smiled and said, "Then you have to pay for your share."

"Of course I have to give it to you. Am I the kind of person who eats and drinks for free?" The girl had her hair tied up loosely, and she deliberately lowered her voice when she spoke, with a hint of coquettishness in her voice.

She always does this when talking to people she is familiar with. Her body unconsciously moves closer, forming an irresistible dependence, and her tone of voice is like she is acting like a spoiled child.

The two of them burst into laughter.

The man's eyes were cold, his long eyelashes drooped slightly, and he rubbed his eyebrows.

Wen Mu was sensitive and quickly noticed that something was wrong with him.

"Didn't you get enough rest last night?" she asked softly with concern.

Jin Huainian raised his eyes, Han Siti's laughter still ringing in his ears.

Then he replied: "Very good."

Wen Mu's heart moved slightly, and he suddenly remembered what happened last night. His face flushed a little: "I'm fine too."

There was a hint of unfamiliarity during the conversation.

When we walked into the main hall, grandma and the other younger generations had already taken their seats.

They were given four seats next to each other.

There was a seat available next to Jin Yi's mother, Wen Zhiyun, so Jin Yi pulled Han Siti to sit down without thinking.

Jin Huainian pulled out the leftmost chair for Wen Mu in a gentlemanly manner, and sat between Wen Mu and Han Siti.

At first glance, it seems nothing, but when you think about it carefully, you always feel that something is wrong. Even grandma noticed it. The position where he sat down didn't seem like a mistake Huai Nian could make.

"Mumu, did you sleep well last night?" she asked.

Grandma looked at her with gentle eyes, a smile on her face, and her voice was very kind.

Wen Mu immediately smiled and replied, "Very good, grandma."

"Come and play often in the future. We will be a family from now on."

Wen Mu glanced at Jin Huainian shyly.

"As long as grandma doesn't find me annoying, I'll come often."

Grandma smiled and gave Jin Huaian a look, then said, "Call Huaian when you come and ask him to pick you up. Don't be afraid of trouble."

"Okay grandma, don't worry." Wen Mu responded shyly.

You talk, she talks, and it adds a bit of joy to the atmosphere.
