Chapter 20 Can't See
"Brother, are you drunk?"
Jin Huainian said nothing, pinched the girl's chin, kissed her, and supported her back with his palm, very intimate.
Han Siti's nerves suddenly froze, and she almost melted into his arms.
My breathing became heavier.
The floor-to-ceiling windows on the sixteenth floor offer a thorough view of the capital's magnificent architectural style, with lingering shadows cast on the marble floor.
Han Siti dodged twice and refused to let him kiss her.
"What's wrong?" Jin Huainian leaned over and pressed forward again.
"Close the curtains." She frowned and said coquettishly.
The man chuckled softly and scanned her body with his eyes, showing a rare sense of mischief.
“No one else can see it.”
Seeing him still tugging at the fabric of his only clothing, Han Siti was furious: "I don't want to be on the entertainment headlines with you tomorrow."
Jin Huai turned sideways, picked up the remote control on the coffee table and pressed it, and the curtains slowly closed.
"Is it okay now?" He said in a hoarse voice, kneeling on one knee between the girl's legs.
Han Siti covered her face, looked at him through her fingers, and said in a coquettish voice: "Okay."
In the spacious living room, the chandelier is dazzling, and two overlapping figures are sitting on the sofa, with a faint fire burning and overflowing with spring.
The fragrance of the two of them wafted all around...my heart was beating fast.
—
The next day.
It was already light outside. She rubbed her eyes and turned over in bed. Her feet fell randomly, but nothing happened.
No, there's no one around?
Han Siti lifted her hair, fluttered her eyelashes slightly, and stood up from the bed. There was indeed no one next to her.
Today is Saturday, and Jin Huainian shouldn't go to the company.
She came out of the bedroom and ran to the study next door, but still no one was there.
There was only the part-time maid in the living room.
Seeing that she was up, the aunt smiled and said, "Dinner will be ready soon."
"When did he go out?" Han Siti walked over, took out a bottle of mineral water from the refrigerator, then leaned against the refrigerator door and asked.
Auntie thought for a moment and said, "It seems to be around nine o'clock."
Han Siti unscrewed the bottle cap, took a few sips, and then put it on the counter.
After dinner, Han Siti changed her clothes and prepared to go home.
I had just gotten off the road and into a taxi when my cell phone started ringing one after another.
Jin Yi: [My brother was called home by grandma again.]
No wonder.
Han Siti yawned, not caring much: [Why?]
Jin Yi: [It’s not about engagement yet.]
Han Siti paused, but showed no emotion.
[What happened next? What did your brother say?]
Jin Yi: [This whole process has been perfunctory, and it seems like there's no real intention behind it. Why do I feel like this marriage will be canceled?]
Han Siti laughed a few times, turned off her phone, looked at the street scene flowing backwards outside the car window, and was silent for a moment.
Cancel? Not necessarily.
After arriving home.
Dad was sitting in the living room reading a newspaper while Mom was grading her students' papers.
Because of her intrusion, both of them looked up.
Mom hummed softly: "You still remember to come back."
Han Siti immediately went over and hugged her: "I missed you so much."
"Count how many times you've been back this week."
Han Siti smiled and said, "Aren't you a math teacher? Can you help me calculate it?"
The mother was furious: "Don't mess with me."
Han Siti exchanged glances with her father.
"Okay, okay, she's back now. Her workplace is far from home and it's not safe at night." Dad started to mediate.
"Dad is right." Han Siti gave her father a thumbs up.
Mom glared: "You two are just mad at me."
"Why should I be angry with you? I even bought you milk tea." Han Siti lifted the milk tea bag high.
Mom was relieved.
Finally, he said, "That's about right."
The matter was resolved, Han Siti clapped his hands and returned to the bedroom.
She lay down in the soft quilt, closed her eyes comfortably, and put everything behind her.
The afternoon sun poured into the flowerpot by the windowsill, but it was not dazzling, and her heart did not waver at all.
—
the next day.
I originally wanted to spend the weekend comfortably at home, but the weather was not good, and Jin Yi dragged me out to play in the afternoon.
It would be more accurate to say that he was going there to play and be a third wheel between her and Xie Xingan.
"How did you get him out?" This was what Han Siti was most confused about.
Jin Yi boasted with a smile: "Last time I secretly put the earrings in his pocket."
So this time I came to return the earrings.
"Then why did you call me here?"
"I'm just afraid of embarrassment. What if he returns my earrings and leaves? You can help delay it for a while."
“…”
After waiting for a few minutes, Xie Xing'an came over from the street corner, wearing a black casual suit, with superior bone structure and an exceptionally cold temperament.
Jin Yi clenched his hands nervously, his heart pounding.
"Don't do this again next time." Xie Xing'an handed her the earrings.
Jin Yi blinked, her fingertips trembling uncontrollably, her mind went blank for a second, and then as if she had made up her mind, she raised her hand, covered him, and interlocked her fingers with his.
Even Han Siti was shocked.
Xie Xing'an subconsciously took a step back.
The earrings hurt between my palms.
Before he could say anything, Jin Yi let go first.
She arched her eyebrows and said, "I was just joking."
Xie Xingan frowned slightly, his eyes dark: "I'm leaving first."
"No, let's talk for a while. Don't you still have two hours before work?" Jin Yi was a little anxious.
Han Siti followed behind and said, "Yeah, the sun is so bright, why don't we find a place to sit down and chat slowly."
Xie Xingan refused coldly: "No, we probably won't see each other again in the future. I don't want to say anything too harsh."
Jin Yi's expression froze for a second, and he didn't respond.
Xie Xing'an left while she was stunned.
"Are you still pursuing her?" Han Siti asked sincerely.
"I'm so angry. I've taken the initiative. Does he have bad eyesight? Am I not pretty? Does he have a bad personality?" Jin Yi stomped his feet in anger.
Han Siti sighed: "Do you know the situation at his home?"
"The gap between him and you is too big. He probably doesn't want to delay you, so he doesn't give you any chance at all."
Jin Yi's eyelashes trembled slightly, and his heart began to beat restlessly again, as if it was tingling with an electric current, making him inexplicably uneasy.
"I see."
Han Siti took her arm and said, "Come on, don't be unhappy. Let's go shopping at the mall over there. If you are unhappy, you have to buy some things."
Jin Yi agreed, but he still couldn't be happy.
In a luxury store in a shopping mall, holding a newly released bag feels nothing.
"Where's the necklace? Do you like it?" Han Siti saw that her face was about to fall to the ground.
Jin Yi raised his head, not wanting to spoil the fun: "Let's go."
The two walked into the store and coincidentally ran into Wen Mu who was buying jewelry. She was wearing a plain long dress, which was not very pretty, but her gentle and dignified temperament made her a good candidate for the wife of many wealthy families.
Jin Yi snorted: "What kind of luck do we have?"
Han Siti replied, "You can buy a lottery ticket later."
Just then, Wen Mu looked over and she was also surprised.
