Chapter 46 Not Angry
When getting out of the car, Han Siti would lean over from the back seat to the front and say in a sweet voice, "Thank you, brother."
Jin couldn't have expected a clearer timeline.
"Can't you just tell me directly?" Jin Yi replied after watching her change her clothes.
"I don't want to say it. We are not in a normal relationship." Han Siti ignored her request.
Jin Yi didn't understand: "You two are no different from a normal relationship, and my brother canceled his engagement because of you."
Han Siti paused, a puzzled look on her face: "Me?"
"Who else besides you?" Jin Yi knew her brother a little bit: "If he wanted to marry Wen Mu, he would have broken up with you long ago."
"During the time when the engagement was cancelled, Wen Mu came every day, hoping to save the relationship, but my brother gave the reason that he didn't like her and that she wasn't suitable."
Han Siti's eyes flashed, and she felt a little bit unconvinced.
"That doesn't necessarily mean you like me."
"Are you so unsure of yourself?"
Han Siti turned her face away, not wanting to dwell on this topic. What if she liked him? Could she really marry into the Jin family? Forget it.
After I finished cleaning up, there was a knock on the door.
Xie Xingan stood at the door, Jin Yi threw herself into his arms, and they were sweet again.
Han Siti ignored them and walked into the corridor.
After dinner.
Han Siti and Jin Yi went outside to take pictures. The scenery here was very beautiful. There was an open-air pool outside, the trees were lush and leafy, the lawn had been trimmed by someone, and the walls were carved with patterns. They were elegant and simple, and every inch exuded luxury.
After shooting for a while, I met Jin Huainian and his friends who had just finished their work.
Han Siti remembered what Jin Yi said, that he canceled the engagement for her.
The man walked over slowly and stood in the sunshine, his hair blown by the wind, his jawline sharp and clear, and he always looked at her with a bit of unintentional concentration.
Her cheeks suddenly turned red and she subconsciously avoided the other person's gaze.
As soon as Jin Huainian walked next to her, she took a small step back and could feel his scent on the tip of her nose.
This action caught his eye.
"Why are you hiding from me?" Jin Huainian gave her a cold look.
Han Siti retorted: "No."
"Then come here and hold my hand." The man's eyes darkened, and his long eyelashes cast a sinister light.
Han Siti's heart was pounding, but she controlled herself and said, "Outside."
"Not outside?" The man's gaze burned at her: "I've never seen you so shy before."
Han Siti didn't want to listen to him anymore and reluctantly extended her hand.
Jin Huainian's knuckles slipped between his fingers and gently clasped the back of her hand. No matter how you looked at it, they seemed very intimate.
Jin Yi smiled meaningfully.
"I have something to ask you." Han Siti thought about it and decided to ask clearly.
Jin Huainian tapped the back of her hand lightly with his fingertips and said calmly, "What's the matter?"
"Let's find a place where there's no one."
There were several people here, and she couldn't speak.
Nameless and without status.
They arrived at a courtyard.
The stone road winds through the path covered with flowers and plants. During the autumnal equinox, fallen leaves are everywhere, and the air here is filled with a fragrance after the rain.
Han Siti sat face to face with him, and there was a set of tea set on the table.
"Do you like me?" She always asked directly. After so long, there was no need to beat around the bush.
Jin Huainian raised his eyebrows and looked at her with an unusually calm expression.
"Why do you ask?"
Han Siti clasped her fingers, a little nervous: "Did you cancel your engagement with Wen Mu because of me?"
Han Siti met his dark eyes, then suddenly looked away.
"Yes." Jin Huainian was silent for a while before speaking.
"?" Han Siti was puzzled. Her heart felt numb and tingling, as if an electric current was running through her blood, making it boil.
Her face looked unhappy: "You don't really like me, do you? I know I'm attractive, but..."
"It's an easy decision between you and her." Jin Huainian interrupted her, speaking slowly, his emotions unclear.
Han Siti was stunned, her mind quickly analyzing the meaning of his words. After a long pause, she replied uncertainly, "So you don't like me?"
Jin Huainian raised his eyelids, with a slight sense of oppression, and his jawline was slightly tense.
He doesn't speak.
Han Siti breathed a sigh of relief and patted his chest: "I was so scared, I thought you liked me, although liking me is not a shame..."
"Okay, let's go." Jin Huainian interrupted her again, this time with an unhappy tone and a bad look on his face.
Han Siti looked puzzled, not knowing what had offended him again.
"What's wrong? Are you angry?" She hurriedly followed.
Jin Huainian had a mocking smile on his face: "No."
"Are you really not angry?" Han Siti could hardly keep up with him, so she quickened her pace.
"No."
After a question and an answer, he certainly didn't look angry.
"Can you please walk slower?" Han Siti took two breaths.
Jin Huainian glanced at her indifferently, said nothing, but slowed down his pace.
Han Siti wanted to hold his hand, but as soon as she touched it, he put it in his pocket without leaving a trace.
She was stunned for a moment, looking confused.
Until the evening, the two of them didn't talk much, or when Han Siti wanted to talk to him, he deliberately avoided her.
"Did you have a fight with my brother?" Jin Yi asked after coming out after blow-drying his hair.
Han Siti looked up: "No, why do you ask?"
"I feel like you guys are acting weird today."
"No." Han Siti didn't care about it.
After all, Jin Huainian himself said that he was not angry.
"I feel like my brother is avoiding you." Jin Yi lay on the bed and said, "He didn't sit next to you at night, and when you went to find him, he said he had something to do."
Han Siti was silent for several seconds before reacting: "But he said he wasn't angry."
"That means you are angry." Jin Yi said to her.
After listening to this, Han Siti picked up her phone and sent him a message to test the waters, but there was no reply for several minutes.
"Could he have fallen asleep?" she wondered.
Jin Yi smiled and said, "You know best. Will he sleep at this time?"
"Wait a little longer."
I waited for more than ten minutes, but still no reply.
"Why don't you go and take a look? It's not far anyway." Jin Yi said.
Han Siti pursed her lips, wondering whether to go or not.
"All right."
She went anyway, put on a sweater, stood at his door and knocked a few times, but no one opened it.
Really asleep?
Han Siti put her ear to the door, trying to listen to the movement inside, but the moment she got closer, the door opened.
She fell uncontrollably into the man's arms.
He had just taken a shower and smelled of nice shower gel.
"Why don't you reply to my message?" Han Siti stood up straight and looked at him with sparkling eyes.
Jin Huaian looked uneasy, and looked at her calmly for a second, his voice level: "I didn't check my phone."
"Oh, you're really not angry, right? Yiyi said you were angry, let me take a look."
Han Siti stood at the door and explained chatteringly.
