Chapter 54 You Have No Chance
Her intentions were very clear.
The voice was also coquettish: "Auntie, can you not tell my mother?"
Aunt Wang was puzzled: "You haven't told your mother yet?"
"Hmm." She bit her lip, her thoughts in a mess.
It’s all Jin Huainian’s fault for insisting on kissing me. Now any explanation is useless.
"This is great news. Your mother will definitely be happy to hear it. She has been wanting you to have a boyfriend for a long time."
Han Siti learned her cousin's tricks: "Our relationship is still unstable and we quarrel frequently. We might break up in a few days."
She made up an excuse in a serious manner.
Aunt Wang was shocked: "Don't talk nonsense, why are you breaking up for such a good reason?"
"Really, we are still in the adjustment period now. I'm afraid that if I tell my mother and we break up again, she will think too much." Han Siti said.
After listening to this, Aunt Wang nodded.
Promise her: "Then I won't tell your mother yet."
Han Siti was a little bit unconvinced. She was the most gossipy person in the community, so even she had to give in a little.
"Really?" she confirmed cautiously.
Aunt Wang looked at her with a sincere expression: "You still don't believe me."
Han Siti smiled and said, "I believe it, of course I believe it."
A few leaves fell from the ginkgo tree in the community.
She always felt uneasy.
………
Mom comes back with Dad in the evening.
Packed up the food from outside.
She took a shower and changed into pajamas.
"It's time to eat." Mom put the lunch box on the table and said.
Han Siti walked over and sat down, meeting her mother's eyes intentionally or unintentionally.
Her gaze was completely focused on herself.
Staring at her back made me feel cold.
"What's wrong, Mom?" she asked.
Mom looked very happy, and her voice was much softer: "Is there something you didn't tell me?"
Han Siti thought about it, from the test papers hidden in elementary school to the bowl that was broken yesterday.
Think about it all.
She shook her head: "No."
Mom's expression was dull: "Don't you have a boyfriend?"
Han Siti felt the blood run cold all over her body. She should have known that Aunt Wang would tell others, but she didn't expect it to happen so soon.
Not even twelve hours had passed.
She lowered her head and fiddled with the rice in the bowl.
"Why aren't you talking?" Mom looked at him for a few seconds.
Han Siti sighed: "Yeah."
"What do you mean? Did we talk about it?"
"You already know everything." Han Siti pursed her lips, her voice filled with helplessness.
"Mom wants you to say it yourself."
Her eyelashes trembled a few times and her hair fell naturally. Under her mother's pressure, she was never the winner.
"If I say we didn't talk about it, would you believe me?" She could still make another excuse.
"You're joking with your mother. Be serious. Aunt Wang saw you kissing at the gate of the community." Mom said with a frown.
"Okay, we did talk about it. I wanted to tell you after things stabilized."
Unable to hide it any longer, Han Siti made an excuse first, and two days later said that they broke up because of incompatibility of personalities.
"When will you bring him back to meet mom?" Mom was visibly happy again.
Han Siti was left alone to make up stories.
"Wait a little longer."
"When did you meet? Were you college classmates or colleagues at work?"
Han Siti's mouth twitched: "A colleague from the company, we've only been dating for a few weeks."
"Your company allows dating, right? Don't get fired if you get found out." Mom looked hesitant.
"Sure, Mom." She smiled stiffly.
"Talk nicely, don't act like a spoiled brat."
"I've always been very good."
Han Siti ate a lot faster.
"Do you have any photos for me to see?" Mom glanced at her while she was eating: "Eat slowly."
"There are no photos." She immediately looked up and spoke without hesitation.
Her mother was stunned by her reaction.
"We didn't take any pictures. We'll show them to you next time." Han Siti continued.
Mom nodded and said nothing more.
After finishing her meal, Han Siti put down her chopsticks and hurried back to her room.
She was so angry that she picked up her phone and sent a message to Jin Huainian.
[I'm so annoyed with you! Now my mom thinks I have a boyfriend!]
After waiting for a few minutes, the other side replied: [What did you say? ]
[What else can I say? Aunt Wang upstairs saw us kissing, so I have no choice but to admit it.]
Jin Huaian: [Admit that I am your boyfriend?]
Han Siti was speechless: "..."
She threw her phone on the bed and automatically blocked his messages.
The world is big, but nothing is more important than sleeping. I put my head on the pillow and fell asleep in no time.
………
When she arrived at the company the next day, Han Siti did not forget what happened yesterday. She got off the elevator and walked into the office angrily.
She pushed the door open with some noise.
Special Assistant Xu was also inside.
Jin Huainian glanced over nonchalantly, then lowered his eyes for a second, his emotions unclear.
"You go out first." He said to Assistant Xu.
Special Assistant Xu passed by her.
Han Siti ran over and punched him on the chest with her clenched fist. The force she used was no different from acting like a spoiled child.
Jin Huainian half hugged her, his voice low and lingering: "How did I offend the young lady?"
"Yesterday!" Han Siti didn't care that he used the word "young lady" to tease her and spoke directly.
Jin Huainian nodded as if he understood: "You haven't forgotten yet? Didn't you always forget it after one night before?"
Han Siti said coquettishly, "My mom knows everything! How can I forget?"
"Your mother didn't see it." Jin Huainian looked calm, with a faint smile on the corner of his mouth.
She didn't understand, he seemed quite happy?
"Maybe in a couple of days she'll ask me to bring my boyfriend back to show her." Han Siti said all in one breath, and the more she thought about it, the angrier she got.
"I have time." Jin Huainian spoke slowly, and this sentence really made her stunned for a moment.
"What do you mean?" Han Siti didn't react.
"You can take me back to deal with your mother."
Jin Huainian glanced at her confused expression and spoke lightly.
"Are you stupid? What if my mom knew my boyfriend was you? If she told your grandma, and your grandma told your mom, wouldn't the world be turned upside down?"
Jin Huainian's knuckles were white, and he held her tighter.
"It's not that easy to turn the world upside down." He chuckled.
"That's a bad idea." Han Siti finished her fuss and came out of his arms: "Boss Jin, I'm going to work. Can you please keep your distance from your employees?"
Jin Huainian didn't bother to pay attention to her bad taste.
"Get out."
Han Siti tilted her head but didn't move. "Boss Jin is really heartless. He just hugged me so tightly, but now he's so cold to me. I'm a little sad."
She controlled her tone very well, soft and coquettish.
"Hold me for a while longer?" Jin Huainian pretended to hug her, his tone casual.
Han Siti raised his chin: "Humph, you don't stand a chance."
After saying that, she raised her head proudly and left in one go.
