Chapter 84: Getting down to business

Chapter 84: Getting down to business

Evening company.

Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, you can see the red afterglow illuminating the entire sky, and the wind can't blow it away.

Han Siti sat lazily at his workstation, his mind completely wandering.

While he was in a daze, someone knocked on the table. Han Siti looked up and saw that it was the director of the administrative department.

She stood up, her hands hanging down on either side of her skirt.

"Hello, Director." She subconsciously touched the corner of her mouth, not drooling, her eyes bright: "Boss Jin went out for something."

"About what time will you be back?" the woman asked her, holding a document.

Han Siti opened her phone, glanced at it, and raised the corner of her mouth slightly: "About ten minutes. Director, if you are not busy, you can sit for a while and I will make you some coffee."

"Yeah, okay."

Han Siti took her to the rest area, and then went to the tea room to make a cup of coffee.

"Print out another copy of this." The woman handed her a document.

Han Siti nodded, glanced at the densely packed text on it, felt dizzy, and gave it to her after printing it out.

"Secretary Han, congratulations on your promotion." The director said to her with a smile.

Are so many people paying attention to her becoming a regular employee?

Han Siti licked her lips: "Thank you."

"By the way, I've heard a lot about what's been going on lately. Everyone's under a lot of pressure at work, and any little news in the company gets spread around. Don't take it to heart."

She was probably talking about the scandal between her and Jin Huainian.

"No, I didn't take it seriously."

Han Siti likes the executive director very much. In the four months since she came to the company, she has been encouraged by her several times.

People like her who have just entered the working society really need such a leader.

"It was spreading quite a bit a few days ago. Several managers knew about it. Did it affect President Jin?"

Han Siti clasped her hands together and said, "No, he doesn't know."

"Boss Jin is quite disgusted by these things. Just work honestly and keep going." The director reminded her a few times for her own good.

She nodded: "Then I'll go over first. I'll call you when Mr. Jin comes back."

"good."

Han Siti returned to her workstation and after a few minutes, she heard the elevator door open.

The man strode over with long legs.

"Mr. Jin." Han Siti sat obediently, leaned out her head, and called out to him, "The director of the administrative department is here to see you."

Jin Huaian glanced over here and said calmly: "Let her in."

After the executive director went in, she calculated the time and it was time to get off work.

She cleaned up her desk and waited at her workstation.

When she was about to fall asleep, the office door was opened and there was a hint of fatigue in her eyes.

"It's time to get off work." The woman greeted her, her long hair lifted up a little.

Han Siti suddenly became alert, picked up her bag, and waited for a long time for the man to come out.

Work is not busy today, so I don't have to work overtime.

She leaned against the wall limply like a deflated balloon.

After waiting for about two minutes, Jin Huainian came out. He raised his eyelids and raised his chin towards Han Siti.

Han Siti immediately ran to him and held his hand.

His tone was a bit complaining: "Can you be faster next time? I thought I had to work overtime today."

Jin Huainian explained: "I just received a call."

The sky, which was originally filled with fiery clouds, turned into a dim night scene.

They have an elevator that goes directly to the basement garage.

Han Siti walked in front and quickly got into the passenger seat like a thief.

Just as Jin Huainian pulled the handbrake, someone heard knocking on the car window, and Han Siti was startled.

There was a scarf she had left behind yesterday in the car. Han Siti immediately covered half of her body with it, not daring to show even a strand of her hair.

Jin Huainian slowly lowered the car window: "Something's going on!"

"Mr. Jin, I didn't give you a report just now. I just happened to come across it, so I'll give it to you now." The director of the administrative department handed over the report, glanced at it, and was stunned.

The scarf did not cover her completely, and a few strands of her long hair were exposed, resting on her smooth white arms. It was difficult to see what clothes she was wearing.

"Okay." Jin Huainian put the report aside.

The woman was very considerate: "Okay, I'll be leaving first."

The car window closed, Han Siti took off her scarf and took a deep breath.

"Didn't you see it?" Her hair was frizzing with static electricity.

Jin Huainian looked at her and smiled twice, putting one hand on the steering wheel and tidying her bangs with the other hand.

"Don't worry, I didn't see it." He said slowly.

The executive director was not one to gossip, so Han Siti didn't think much about it.

Back home.

Han Siti came out of the shower and played with Cookie in the living room.

Jin Huainian was not working and was sitting on the sofa reading a book.

When she was tired from playing, she lay on the man's legs to rest. The smell of shower gel on her body mixed with his cold cedar scent was unexpectedly pleasant.

He lowered his eyes, and their gazes met. Han Siti played with the palm of his hand, biting and kissing it.

"If I fall asleep, remember to carry me in." She spoke in a low voice, and she was indeed sleepy.

Jin Huainian raised his eyebrows: "Can I still put you on the sofa?"

Han Siti laughed a few times and said in a very coquettish tone: "Brother, you are very, very graceful."

"Go to sleep."

Han Siti sat up, spread her legs, and skillfully straddled him, then buried her head in his shoulder: "I'm asleep."

The tip of her nose was filled with his scent, very light and unique. Her eyes flashed and she couldn't help but leave a mark on the side of his neck.

A hint of darkness flashed across Jin Huainian's eyes. He hugged her waist and said in a hoarse voice, "Don't sleep yet."

"?"

"Get some business done."

"?"

Before Han Siti could react, he carried her into the bedroom.

What we are facing are countless turbulent waves.

——

There is a meeting in the morning.

The Executive Director sat next to her as usual.

Thinking about how she almost discovered him yesterday, Han Siti didn't dare to look at her at all.

"Secretary Han, do you have a boyfriend?" the woman suddenly asked.

Han Siti subconsciously touched her neck. She had covered the marks with concealer when she came, so they shouldn't be visible.

"Yes," she said.

The woman smiled and said, "You already have a boyfriend. I don't know how they connected you, Mr. Jin, to one."

"I don't know either."

After Han Siti finished speaking, Jin Huainian came in. There was a small kiss mark on the side of his neck, which was not noticeable.

The woman saw this, and combined it with what she saw in the car last night, she was somewhat certain that Mr. Jin had a girlfriend.

Thinking about it this way, Secretary Han has a boyfriend and Mr. Jin has a girlfriend, so how did these two spread the rumors?

She shook her head slightly and then threw herself into her work.

The meeting is over.

Everyone dispersed one after another.

"It's getting better and better. Very clear and concise." The woman said, glancing at her meeting notes.

Han Siti smiled sweetly: "Thank you, Director."

The two walked out of the conference room together.

"Behave well, I'm leaving now."

"good."

Han Siti watched her back as she walked away, then looked at his computer. It was indeed getting better and better, and he was much more relaxed at work than before.
